Thank you, exhibitors, for travelling near and far to show your hounds under me and for the sporting way my decisions were accepted. I must also thank Stephanie, Julie and Kay for their excellent stewarding. Taken as a whole, most exhibits were in good muscular condition with good coats, correct height/length proportion and acceptable ground clearance. DCC & BOB was Howlett & Phillips’ Ch Tendrow Malibar JW. This male caught my eye immediately upon entering the ring on account of his impeccable breed type, balance and excellent construction. A quality typy hound, he is masculine all through; attractive head and eye, prominent keel, best of legs and feet, excellent ribbing, good jacket and comes into his own on the move, covering much ground. RDCC was Phillips’ Tendrow Rubens Hagrid. Another quality masculine hound who should make the grade. Attractive head and eye, sound front assembly with good keel and sturdy legs and feet, firm topline, good angulation front and rear and moved well. BCC was Mccalmont’s Silvae Hallmark. This is a charming bitch of quality and true breed type who stole my heart! She is ideal for size and like all excellent hounds is impeccably constructed; sweetly feminine and elegant all over yet a sturdy hound. Balance, angulation and topline as they should be and to top it all an active mover covering much ground. I learned this was her crowning CC. Congratulations. RBCC was Hepner Theodorou & Hepner Chapman’s Clipperdown Vivien Leigh. A beautiful typy bitch who, like the CC winner, stole my heart! She is sweetly feminine all through yet a sturdy hound; beautiful head and eye, elegant neckline, excellent front and keel, good legs and feet, topline and underline in harmony. Comes into her won on the move and was the best mover here today. BP was Hepner Theodorou & Hepner Chapman’s Clipperdown Red Baron. Promising 8 month male developing nicely, he is well put-together and of good breed type. Handsome head, good front assembly, ribs extend well back, front and rear angulation in harmony, showed to advantage. VD (1,0) 1) Osbourne’s Derochaise Vincenzo Di Braego. Handsome 7 year old male who was in top form. Beautifully made and of good breed type, he came into his own on the move sweeping round the ring with head held proudly. MPD (3,0) 1) Seath’s Sunsong Hope for The Best, 6 months and 2) Rodwell’s Tendrow Don’t Turn Around, 7 months. These two hounds were difficult to separate as they are similar in style and are maturing nicely. Both should do well and are of good breed type. I preferred the hind action of the first. 3) Hope’s Tendrow Makes His Mark. JD (3,0) 1) Osbourne’s Cloudside Xander Around Braego. Excellent 13 month quality male with much to offer. Masculine all through, attractive head, sound front, best of legs and feet, well developed ribbing and correct angulation front and rear. Comes into his own on the move powering round the ring with head held proudly. 2) C Red Barron. 3) Rodwell’s Blue Bayou. YD (1,0) 1) C X A Braego. GD (2,0) 1) C X A Braego. 2) Mountford’s Incordemeo Highflyer. Respectable male with much to admire, good head, prominent keel, sturdy legs and feet, well balanced and moved well. PGD (2,0) 1) Mountford’s Incordemeo Shadow & 2) Christie’s Cloudside Xaiden at Decalleigh. Two males very similar in style and who could change places. Both are of good breed type, are well constructed with correct angulation front and rear, well ribbed up, good topline and underline. I preferred the head of the first. LD (7,1) 1) T R Hagrid, 2) Mountford’s Incordemeo Midnight. A good male who was unlucky to meet the winner. He has an attractive overall profile and gave a good account of himself. Masculine head, elegant neckline, sound front and sturdy legs and feet and moved well. 3) Davies’ Atahira Finale. OD (6,0) 1) Ch T Malibar JW. 2) Mccalmont’s Ch Covellyn’s Cecil at Silvae. Worthy Champion with much to admire; masculine head, reachy neck, prominent keel, well developed ribbing and ideal overall balance and proportion. Preferred the topline of the one above. 3) Phillips’ Ch Tendrow Will to Succeed. SB (3,0) 1) Rodwell’s Tendrow Don’t Turn Around and 2) Maddocks’ Wyldetarn Genesis. Difficult to separate these two males are they are of a similar style and soundly constructed. Just preferred the movement of the first. 3) Hope’s Tendrow Makes His Mark. MPB (4,0) 1) Hepner Theodorou & Hepner Chapman’s Clipperdown Good Grief 8 months & 2) Binks’ Tannahill Night Rebel 6 months. Two sweet babies with much to commend and difficult to separate: both have lovely heads and are well constructed and of good breed type. I preferred the topline of the second and the movement of the first. 3) Phillips’ Tendrow Story of Success. PB (2,0) 1) Phillips’ Tendrow Amazing Grace. 8 months stylish bitch who is well matured for her young age; she has lovely breed type and is soundly constructed with correct angulation fore and aft. 2) Eyre-Brook’s Gentlegorse Dare to Believe. Pretty 12 months baby who was unlucky to meet the one above; nevertheless she has breed type and is as sound as a bell. Slower to mature fully, she just needs time. Both could have moved more positively. JB (3,0) 1) Pughe & Fraser’s Stanegate Sonja at Bystock. Excellent 17 month prospect who I much admired; lovely head and eye, prominent keel and best of legs and feet, well ribbed up with good topline and underline; she moved with the correct action. 2) Buxton’s Cloudside Xena of Mereblake. 13 month attractive bitch who is sweetly feminine and of good breed type. Topline and underline are in harmony. Preferred the movement of the one above. 3) Rowe’s Cloudside Xamira with Boloria. YB (2,0) 1) Binks’ Tannahill Day by Day. Very nice 23 month bitch of good breed type; sweet head and eye, lovely front assembly, well developed body, sturdy legs and feet and moved truly. 2) Jones’ Something Audatious among Clanwillow. Pretty 18 month bitch who gave a good account of herself. Preferred the topline and underline of the first. GB (1,0) 1) Buxton’s Hazelglade Harriet. Sweet bitch who stood alone but deserved her first prize. Attractive head and eye, well ribbed up and good topline. Showed well.PGB (2,1) 1) Matthews’ Sonham Twice As Nice JW. Another attractive bitch who stood alone but was deserving of her first prize. Quality all through, sweet head and eye, angles are correct fore and aft, lovely ribbing and level topline standing and kept on the move. Moves with correct action. LB (3,2) C V Leigh. OB (4,0) 1) S Hallmark. 2) Paterson’s Ch Brumberhill Biscuit to Ambiesque. Beautiful quality Champion bitch who has all the essentials and lovely breed type; charming head and eye, perfect front and keel, ribbing carried well back, best of legs and feet, topline and underline in harmony and moved truly. 3) Howlett & Rowe’s Ch Boloria Oh Darling JW.
