Firstly I’d like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge and my steward who ensured the ring moving moving well throughout the day. Well done to the whole of the committee for a well ran show and thank you to the exhibitors, I know it was a long day but was a pleasure being able to go over your dogs each of whom had their merits.

 

Wired haired dachshund.

Veteran Dog/Bitch
1st Patton’s IR CH Lesandnic Ludovic, Good top line, harsh coat, lovely shaped eye and masculine head with good dentition. Good fore-chest and tight shoulders leading into excellent ribbing. Well muscled with a excellent for chest and tight shoulders, moved well and parallel with strong hindquarters. Lovely boy to go over, BOB, BV.

Puppy Dog
1st Patton’s Lesandnic State Man, 10 month old nice front with tight well laid shoulders, leading into excellent ribbing that were well sprung, well muscled with great angulation, moved freely  keeping top line throughout. BP.

Limit Dog
1st Christie & Decalleigh’s Cloudside Valentino at Decalleigh JW, Nice harsh coat with a well furnished beard and expressionate eyebrows. Very compact dog with a nice depth of chest. Good length of neck leading into nicely sprung ribs. Okay movement kept top line throughout. Fought hard in the challenge, Reserve best dog.

Open Dog
1st Patton’s IR CH Lesandnic Sovereign, harsh textured coat, lovely head and eye, good length of neck with deep forechest with tight shoulders and brilliant ribbing, okay rear angulation. Slightly unsettled today but came into his own when moved,  good movement, parallel with good drive, kept topline throughout.2nd Tinker-Haldane’s Dollydash Never Enough, a bigger type than 1st but well compact, similar comment apply, harsh coat with lovely facial furnishing. Good mover but didn’t have the same drive as 1 today. 3rd Christie & Decalleigh’s Tannahill Bergen at Decalleigh.

Special Beginners.
1st  Dickinson’s Dakotadax Legend of Zelda, 11 month old puppy, harsh coat, feminine head, maintained topline throughout. Nice front with very nice ribbing. Muscular dog with okay angulation on the rear. Nice movement with lots of drive from the rear. Very pleased to hear that she went on to win best special beginner in show, well done. 2nd Donnie’s Tannahill Thalia, nice sized bitch, excellent font, with good ribbing, tight shoulders. Okay angulation. Good mover, preferred the drive from 1st today. 3rd Sieminski’s Wyldetarn Genesis.

Puppy Bitch.
1st Dickinson’s Dakotadax Legend of Zelda. 2nd Patton’s Lesandnic Soul Sister, a smaller typer than 1st slightly unsettled today, good front leading into nice shoulders, with a level topline throughout. Showed good movement when settled.

Junior Bitch.
1st Dickinson’s Derdledash Skyfall at Dakotadax JW, 13 month old bitch, harsh coat with a well furnished beard, nice shape of head and shape of eye, okay front and good ribbing with well placed shoulders. Very nicely angulated, showed off in her movement.
Reserve best bitch.

Post Graduate Bitch.
1st Sieminski’s Wyldetarn Genesis, smaller than 2nd, harsh dense coat, feminine head, okay front with good shoulder placement, nice angulation, moved well with drive. 2nd Wilson’s Stanegate Salsa at Willowash, Nice deep front with okay shoulders. Another with a lovely feminine head, coat was harsh. Kept topline through, good mover but felt 1st had a slight edge on the day.

Limit Bitch.
1st Dickinson’s Derdledash Dakota at Dakotadax, Nice deep front with correct shoulder placement, nicely ribbed, held a level topline throughout, Lovely head with nice shaped eye and expression. Harsh coat with a well furnished beard. Had excellent movement with nice drive, parallel coming and going. BOS. 2nd Wilson’s Stanegate Katie Brown at Willowash, Very similar to 1st was a close decision, had a nice front, correct tight shoulders, with excellent angulation and nice movement, was unsettled on the table on the day.
