I would like to thank the Committee for inviting me to judge at this prestigious Show.

I had a small but quality entry and have to thank those exhibitors who braved to M5 to come under me! The breed remains in good heart. However, several dogs had incorrect bites, and short ribbing remains an issue. Happily, temperaments were excellent.

Special Beginners D/ B (4)

1 Sieminski’s Wydertarn Geneis. Neat feminine bitch of lovely size. Conical head, good reach of neck flowing into correctly place front. A little short in upper arm, adequate ribbing, firm top-line. Well-angulated rear, moved true fore & aft. Lovely harsh coat, well presented. BSB 2 Sanders' Knottrose Olaf. Larger type with strong masculine head. Adequate length of neck flowing into strong front. Good depth of keel; however, I would have preferred a greater length of ribbing. Firm top-line, compact muscular rear which he used to good effect. Moved soundly, presented in fit hard condition. 3. Jones’ Piece Of Cake

Puppy Dog (1)

1 Davies' Atahira Finale. Cracking 11 mth red dog. Strong head with delightful expression. Reachy neck flowing into correctly angulated front, prominent fore-chest. Adequate length of ribbing with good underline. Powerful rear, lovely turn of stifle, moved soundly if still a little loose, but very much a baby. Should have a bright future BP

Junior Dog (2)

1 McCalmont’s Silvae Bystander. Impressive young dog who really commands the ring. Strong conical head, almond eye, correct bite. Wonderful reach of neck flowing into correctly constructed front. Prominent fore-chest, with good depth of keel, adequate length of ribbing and strong loin. Firm top-line, powerful well angulated rear, excellent turn of stifle. Moved with drive & verve covering the ground effortlessly. Wonderful bone, tight feet, good ground clearance. Well presented in good harsh coat. CC & BOB 2. Akehurst’s Tendrow Down the Line. A smaller compact type with no exaggerations. Classic head with correct bite, nicely laid shoulder, good spring & depth of keel. Nice length of ribbing with short loin. Strong top-line held on the move. Well angulated rear, moved true fore & aft, just not the hind extension drive of 1 today. Lovely harsh coat. Well-presented in hard condition. A very worthy RCC.

Yearling Dog (2)

1 Akehurst’s Tendrow Down the Wire. 2. Rice’s Vixendax Solstice. A handsome taller stamp of dog with not quite the angulation of 1. Strong masculine head, nice length of neck, firm top-line, short loin. Muscular rear, good ground clearance. Moved soundly.

PG Dog (4)

1 Beagrie’s Feldhund Moonlight JW. A smart well balance dog. Masculine head with dark almond eye, correct bite. Adequate length of neck running into strong well sprung front with prominent fore-chest. Good length of ribbing, firm top-line held on the move. Angulated rear with short well let-down hocks. Moved true fore & aft. 2. Clayton-Smith’s Cairparavel Hartnell. Handsome dog with great ground clearance, just not quite the angulation of 1. Expressive head with good bite. Lengthy neck, balanced front & rear angulation. Not moving with any enthusiasm today. 3. Sanders’ Knottsrose Olaf .

Limit Dog (4,1)

1 McCalmont’s Covellyn’s Cecil at Silvae (Imp Che). Compact neat dog. Pleasant head with dark almond eye. Reachy neck flowing into angulated front, sufficient depth and length of ribbing. Level top-line, carries his tail a tad high at times. Good hind assembly, free active mover. 2. Moore’s Cloudside Vincent. A mature heavier stamp of dog. Classic conical head,

nice reach of neck, prominent fore chest, with depth & spring of rib. Just not quite the length of ribbing of 1. Strong firm top-line, wonderful powerful quarters with well let down hocks. Very sound balanced mover. 3. Russell’s Collidach Russell Leeves

Open Dog (2)

1 Akehurst’s Boloria All Spice. A small compact active dog who loves the ring! Honest male head with correct bite. Strong neck running into well-filled front, prominent fore-chest, deep keel. Firm top-line, short muscular loin, powerful quarters, good turn of stifle. Moved with drive and enthusiasm. 2. Hutchings’ & Price’s Percy Cute at Samlane. A larger, longer stamp of dog where many of the attributes of 1 apply. Lovely expressive head with correct bite. Long reachy neck flowing into correctly constructed front. Sufficient ribbing, longish loin, strong level top-line. Hammy quarters with excellent turn of stifle, sound active mover. Just preferred the size of 1.

Junior Bitch (1)

1 McCalmont’s Fan the Flames. Lovely quality bitch. Super conical head with correct bite. Elegant long neck flowing into correctly angulated shoulders. Prominent sternum with good depth of keel, sufficient length of ribbing. Firm top-line held on the move: nicely constructed rear, moved true fore & aft. Just lacking maturity at the moment.

Yearling Bitch (1)

1 Parker’s Vixendax You And Me At Zorionadax. Dark brindle bitch with harsh coat and pleasing head, correct dentition. Nice reach of neck, sufficient front angulation. Top-line was a bit inconsistent improving on the move. Hind movement, lacked drive and coordination.

PG Bitch (5,1)

1 Ellis’s Vixendax Make Me A Winner. Attractive bitch of nice size. Sweet feminine head with dark almond eye. Reachy neck flowing to into well placed front, good depth and length of ribbing. Top-line a bit soft but firmed up on the move. Unexaggerated rear with nice turn of stifle. Balanced sound mover. 2. Matthews’ Sonham Twice As Nice JW. Lovely outgoing bitch just not the front angulation of 1. Good top-line, nice hammy quarters used to good effect to power round the ring. 3.Beagrie’s Feldhund Show The Way JW

Limit Bitch (3 1)

1 Hutchings’ Collidach Raynee Day JW. My find of the day! Super red bitch who was difficult to fault today. Lovely size with absolutely no exaggerations. Wonderful front and hind angulation, excellent ribbing, firm top-line. Powerful muscular rear with lovely turn of stifle & short hocks. In movement she excels: superb front and hind extension, covers the ground effortlessly. A joy to watch. Had no hesitation in awarding her the CC (just preferred the dog’s ground clearance for BOB). 2. Seath’s Sunsong Hopes And Dreams. Smart bitch with cracking harsh coat. Conical head, good reach of neck flowing into well placed shoulder. Nice depth and length of ribbing, firm top-line, strong rear. Just lacked drive and enthusiasm today. 3.Ellis’ Vixendax Venus Starlight

Open Bitch (1,1)

1 Hanney-Mitchell & McCalmont’s Ch Silvae Time After Time At Bronia. Lovely quality bitch with nothing left to prove. Classic head, long reachy neck flowing into correctly constructed front. Firm topline, well angulated rear, excellent ground clearance. Moved true fore & aft. RCC
