A very pleasing entry to judge, quality was high & the dogs were in good form & in no way worried by the heat.

PD (5,1a) 1 Coverley’s Aventine Tropic Thunder, very promising at 8 months, well grown, pleasing head, good neck, shoulders & front, nice bone, well bodied, coat in good condition; 2 Baxter’s Pure Dynamite, lighter frame, good neck & shoulders, nice topline, moved out well. Needs to develop generally; 3 Moore’s Romanchi Mohican. JD (1) 1 Swanston-Murphy’s Tams Whistle, red, at an in between stage. Needing to mature in body & over the loin. Good eyes, pleasing neck, well developed thighs, rear movement particularly pleasing. PGD (1) A. LD (7,1) 1 Dible’s Leiblings Stormin Norman, very good moving young red, pleasing head & eyes, well balanced, good topline, well developed thighs, good front; 2 Norman & Ratcliffe’s Silvae Abraxus, masculine, better coat than 1, but inclined to dip a little behind the shoulder. Nice forehand, good hindquarters, moved soundly; 3 Rowe’s Boloria Calico Jack. OD (5) 1 Moore’s Ch Aventine Rainman at Romanchi, good dog, very good coat & condition, good head, pleasing forehand, well made hindquarters, moved out well. CC; 2 McCalmont’s Ch Silvae Pioneer, forceful dark brindle, good head, pleasing neck & front. Not as pleasing over the loin & tail carriage as 1, but a very good mover. RCC; 3 Rollinson’s Ch/Ir Ch Nosinllor Grenadier. V (1) 1 Baxter’s Lankelly Saffron at Kharmina, lovely bitch at 13 years, feminine, very good forehand, good coat & condition, looked well on the move using her well set & carried tail. PB (3,2) 1 Davies’ Atahira Centissima, lovely puppy, 8 months with everything to like, well balanced, good forehand, pleasing bone, legs & feet, nice coat, well made hindquarters. BP. JB (5) 1 Edwards’ Lovehayne Black Opal, nice to go over, could have made a little more of herself on the move, although she went soundly. Good neck, shoulders & front, well made hindquarters, nice coat; 2 Clifford’s Ritlo Return To Sender with Ablebody, lovely head & eye, pleasing forechest & brisket, nice strength in thighs. Inclined to roach a little in topline; 3 Gibson’s Allfreys Starduster. PGB (5) 1 Seath’s Sunsong Gypsy Music, very attractive bitch, feminine, pleasing head, nice neck, shoulders & topline, shapely but unexaggerated, moved & showed well. RCC over some strong contenders; 2 Kent’s Monisi Calamity Jane, just lacked the balance of 1. Very good head, pleasing neck, moved out well. Could be a little better in feet; 3 Scott’s Ablebody Tantino. LB (5) 1 Gibson’s Allfreys Grace Kelly, nicely made neat bitch, good neck, shoulders & topline, pleasing hindquarters, moved out well; 2 Poulter & MacDonald’s Lankelly Eloquent Rose, lovely head & eye, so expressive, good coat, nice depth & brisket, well proportioned, delightful character; 3 Speak’s Rodnan The Goddess Athene. OB (4) 1 McCalmont’s Ch Silvae Mystic, beautiful, quality bitch, pleasing head, good neck, shoulders & front, splendid hindquarters, nice for length & balance, moved & showed well. CC & BOB; 2 Rollinson’s Ch Nosinllor Joan Of Arc, well bodied brindle, very good coat, good strong thighs, nice front. Just preferred the femininity of those who beat her. A good Dachs; 3 Seath’s Sunsong Gypsy Rose.
