WIRE HAIRED

I was honoured to be invited to judge at this well supported show on my first occasion to give tickets. I would like to thank the exhibitors for their generous entry and generally well presented dog.s I found a large variation in size and type and the only fault which was common to several exhibits was a level bite!  PD. (5). 1. Derry 's, Abbydac Parsley with Andlouis. Dark brindle 8 and a half months old boy with pleasing head and eye. Well developed front and well boned tight feet. Good reach of neck leading to well placed shoulders. Good length and well ribbed. He stood level and true and moved out well but needs time to settle. BPD and BPIB. 2. Carruther's, Tannahill Valentino. 9 and a half years old shaded red. Heavier type to winner, but a nicely balanced good looking dog. Well bone throughout with elegant reach of neck and well ribbed. A little upright in shoulder but moved out well keeping a level topline. 3. Edwards and Lavin's, Swincombes Dahre. JD. (3). 1. Didle's, Leibling Stormin Norman. 1 and a half years old red dog. Beautifully presented with dark harsh coat. Pleasing head and dark almond eye, correct size and nicely balanced. Good reach of neck and spring of rib. Well placed shoulders and well rounded rump. Sadly not co-operating with his handler and reluctant to stand correctly but moved out well on the move in nice tight feet with a purposeful stride. 2. Vine's, Cishelvine Nobody's Fool. Nice size but not as well presented as he could have been, but with a good reach of neck. I would have preferred more angulation fore and aft and he was a tad short on ribbing. Unsettled when moving. PGD. (2). 1. Edwards and Lavin's, Nosinllor Fusilier. Beautifully balanced well proportioned dark brindle pin wire with a lovely harsh jacket. Masculine head, correct bite. Excellent bone and tight bunched feet. Prominent prosternum and good depth of keel with elegant sweep of loin. Good reach of neck and well placed shoulders. Nice length and well spring ribcage. Well rounded rump and good hind angulation all of which helped him move with drive and purpose and keeping a level topline. His tail was correctly set but his youth tended to make him carry it a tad too proudly, nevertheless deserved the CC. 2. Kent and Didle's, Maonisi on Town. Another dark brindle pin wire of smaller size than winner, but beautifully proportioned throughout. Not the development of prosternum as winner. Good length of body correctly proportioned rib to loin. Well angulated hindquarters. Moved out true and keeping a level topline but without the purpose of winner. LD . (3). 1. Vine's, Cishelvine Sea Swell. Well proportioned brindle dog with pleasing head and eye. Good spring of rib. Adequate lie of shoulder, well boned with tight feet. Moved true fore and aft keeping a level topline. 2. Rowe's, Boloria Calico Jack. A larger type dark brindle, well presented. Strong masculine head, a good reach of neck but a tad narrow in front. Would have preferred slightly better lay of shoulder. Pleasing sweep of keel to loin, well muscled hindquarters. Moved adequately. 3. Johnson's, Sumojo Sincerely Yours. OD. (7). 1. Derry 's, Ch. Andlouis the Tempest. Well presented brindle with harsh coat. Well proportioned and balanced dog. Pleasing head and correct eye. Well arched neck leading into well laid shoulders. Pronounced prosternum and good sweep of keel. Well muscled throughout with nicely rounded rump. Stood and moved true and level. RCC. 2. Phillips', Tendrow Special Format. Lovely head and elegant reach of neck. Well boned and good tight feet. Nicely proportioned and balanced looking dog. Not quite the quarters of winner which meant his movement did not quite match up to him either. 3. Johnson's, Sumojo Sincerely Yours. PB. (3). 1. Gibson's, Allfreys Grace Kelly. Well presented. brindle bitch. Lovely feminine head and correct eye. Good sized and correctly proportioned bitch. Good reach of neck, well placed shoulders. I would have liked a bit more bone and substance. Stood and moved true with a level topline. BPB. 2. Phillips', Tendrow Poetic Justice. Red puppy with tough wire jacket. Feminine head and pleasing eye. Shoulder placement adequate a little short on ribbing. Nicely rounded quarters. Movement a touch erratic on the day and needs time to mature and settle. 3. Bink's, Tannahill Helena. JB. (1). 1. Dible's, Liebling Drama Queen. Red, well presented and balanced bitch. Feminine head and dark eye. Good reach of neck and well placed shoulders. Pronounced pro sternum and good sweep of keel. Nicely sprung ribcage. Stood true and level and maintained this on the move. PGB. (8). 1. Kent's, Monisi Calamity Jane. Nice sized well proportioned harsh coated brindle bitch. pretty head and dark almond shaped eyes leading into an elegant reach of neck. Correctly placed shoulders. Well developed chest. Elegant sweep of underline to well muscled rounded rump. Hind angulation adequate and she moved well. Parallel and level but slightly lacking in drive n the day. 2. Harmer's, Ballanroo All That Jazz. Red bitch with a good harsh jacket. More compact than winner. Appeared a little nervous when handled but nevertheless a nicely made bitch with a good reach of neck, well placed shoulder and rounded rump and good angulation. Moved out well moving true and parallel keeping a level topline. 3. Gibson's, Allfreys Carolina. LB. (6). 1. Rillinson's, Nosinllor Joan of Arc. A stunning looking dark brindle pin wire bitch with the harshest of jackets. She looked balanced and beautifully put together. Lovely feminine head, dark eye. Long arched neck, tight feet, oval, deep front and pronounced pro sternum. Well laid shoulders, good spring of rib and elegant sweep of underline. Well rounded rump and angulated hindquarters. Stood level and proudly and moved out well with purposeful gait, moving parallel and true. Correct tail set but carried her tail happily when on the move, nevertheless she deserved the CC and went on to take BOB. 2. Vine's, Cishelvine Ocean Dream. A different type to winner, rather stockier build. Appealing head and reach of neck. Well laid shoulders. Pronounced prosternum and good depth of keel. Elegant sweep of underline. Good length and well sprung ribbing. Not the angulation of winner but stood level and moved soundly keeping her topline. 3. Robinson's, Rebecca Von Tagundnacht. OB. (5). 1. Kent's, Leibling Sweet Charity. A quality Pin Wire brindle bitch. Nice size and well put together throughout with good bone and tight feet. Elegant feminine head with dark almond shaped eye. Lovely arched neck leading to correctly placed shoulders. Pronounced prosternum and good depth of keel. Elegant sweep of underline and well sprung ribcage. Nicely rounded rump and good hind angulation. Moved well and true but lacked the drive of my CC winner but gained a well deserved RCC. 2. Phillips', Tendrow Special Formula. Another well presented dark brindle bitch but a heavier type to winner. A good head and eye. Good reach of neck, adequate shoulder placement, I would have preferred a little more angulation. Well developed front and good depth of keel. Well balanced. Good length and well angulated hindquarters. Lacked drive when moving but moved out true and kept a level topline. 3. Gibson's, Allfreys Ursula.
