WIRE HAIRED

Thank you for a quality entry. It is a good number of years since I last judged this variety and at that time felt it was the weakest of the 6. however, with careful breeding, imports from around the world and dedication I have to pat breeders on the back and say that this is possibly one of the strongest varieties of the 6 now. Well done.

MPD (2) Two very immature puppies 1 Hasting’s Barding’s Best Mate. Nice head and eye and good length of neck. Ok ribbing. Showed well. 2 Harmer’s Ballanroo All Night Blues. Tight coated dark brindle. Didn’t cooperate at all with handler but just barely over 6 months.

PD (3,1) 1 Phillips’ Tendrow Special Edition. Wow what a superb dark brindle boy. Super head, eye and expression. Prominent forechest, lovely shoulders and well sprung ribs. Good length of body and hammy, well angulated quarters which he powered on the move. Drops down true fore and aft. Strides and drives with excellent outline at all times. CC & BPD. 2 Seath’s Sunsong Totally Frank. Another lovely puppy with a lot to like about him. Unlucky to meet 1st. Light brindle with masculine head. Good length of neck, adequate front, good spring of rib and strong hindquarters. Moved well. Another with potential.

JD (1) 1s Borman’s Sonic Pickpocket. Nice head, good length of neck. Good drop down in front. Looked a picture standing. Good length of ribbing and very true on the move.

PGD (2) 1 Gibson’s Allfrey’s Seabiscuit. Showy brindle dog. Showed his socks off. Ok head. Good forechest. Adequate ribbing. Moved with good hind drive. 2 Clare’s Tendrow Willy Willys at Mabellene. Good head and eye. Good true dropdown. Excellently coated dog.

LD (5) 1 McCalmont’s Silvae Pioneer. Impressive dark brindle. Stood out in the class. Excellent head type. Good coated and very well presented. Lengthy arched neck. Good forechest. Stood true fore and aft. Tight shoulders and super bone with good length of body. Very well angulated front and back. Would prefer stronger hind movement but a most impressive dog in profile. 2 Harris and Millgate’s Ritlo Shooting Star. A most impressive dog constructively, unfortunately weak hind in movement. Good head, front and shoulders. Ribbing, good bend of stifle and good topline. 3 Glanville-Biggs’ Silvae Onyx at Brimarville.

OD (5) A very strong open dog class. Very difficult decision between first 2. 1 Dible’s Ch Liebling Here Comes the Boss. Lovely red dog, one which I have always loved. Lovely pigmentation. Lovely substance and bone. Excellent head and expression. Good length of neck. Adequate front. Good spring of rib well muscled hind quarters and nice short hocks. Moves with drive. Lovely outline at all times. Res. CC. 2 Moore’s Am Ch Raydachs Tom Cruisen On. Different type to first but full of quality. Good head, lengthy arched neck. Tight shoulders. Good ribbing. Good hind quarters and moved well. Lovely topline at all time. 3 Rollinson’s Ch Nosinllor Grenadier. Sh.CM

MPB (3) 1 Havard and Petry’s Cloudside Giselle. Pretty bitch and showed well for one so young. Pretty head, good forechest. Good spring of rib. Very immature. Moved ok.2 Harris’ Ritlo Cut in Emeralds. Pin wire bitch. Lovely construction. Lovely head, front and shoulders. Good hind angulation. Unfortunately couldn’t assess her movement as she played up on the move. 3 Harmer’s Ballanroo All That Jazz.

PB (7,1) 1 Phillips’ Tendrow O Sooo Special. Wow 2 so good in 1 litter. What a stunner. This bitch pushed so hard for the CC and if handled by her owner in the challenge may have got it but instead res. CC and BP. Feminine head, correct eye and expression. Super forechest, lovely shoulders, excellent bone and lengthy neck. Super sweep of underline, good spring of rib and hammy well angulated quarters. Powered round the ring, striding and driving keeping a stunning outline at all times, true fore and aft. Lovely type. Would love to have taken this one home as well as her brother and kennel mate. What a lucky owner. 2 Speak’s Rodnan Cassandra’s Girl. Nice head, good front construction. Good spring and length of ribbing. Well angulated quarters, lovely length of body. Well presented and showed well. Moved well. 3 Dible’s Leibling Merrymaker.

JB (7) 1 Pughe and Fraser’s Ritterburg Star Quest at Bystock. Excellently presented and handled brindle bitch. Lovely head and lengthy neck. Lovely drop down in front and tight shoulders. Well angulated quarters which she used on the move. Move soundly with drive. Very nice type. 2n Harris’ Ritlo Sweet An’ Dream. Another beautifully constructed bitch from this kennel. Correct head, eye and expression. Lengthy neck, good forechest, tight shoulders and correct coat. Good length of body, good bend of stifle and kept a good topline on the move. Just preferred type of 1st. 3 Williams’ Swincombe Cornish Maid.

PGB (6) 1 Patton and Patton’s Leibling Ponder On Me. Pretty red bitch, one I have always loved but not in the best of coats today. Pretty head & expression. Good pigmentation. Adequate front and front construction. Good spring of rib, hammy quarters and short hocks. Lots of attitude on the move. Super driving movement. 2 Hitchens and Lewis’ Ashihna Hi Jean at Trixhund. Different type to first. Lovely bitch full of quality. Good head and eye, lengthy neck, well angulated shoulders. Good front, good coated, moved well and true fore and aft. 3 Rollinson’s Spitchwick by the Moor at Nosinllor.

LB (9) Quality limit bitch class. 1 Phillips’ Saxonbury Playday at Tendrow. My notes say absolutely fabulous. So beautifully constructed in every way. So so feminine. A dream on the move and this is what I pride myself on. I am a movement judge and the more this bitch moved the more she excelled. CC and BOB, her 2nd and hopefully her 3rd won’t be far away. 2 Kent’s Leiblings Sweet Charity. Quality bitch. Super head and eye, lengthy neck and super forechest. Tight shoulders, good length of body and good angulation front and back. Lovely lines on the move. 3 Seath’s Sunsong Secret Affair. Another quality bitch not looking as well as I have seen her look.

OB (7,2) 1 McCalmont’s Ch Silvae Pastiche. Eye catching brindle bitch. Could be more positive behind but so much quality. Lovely sweet feminine head, nice kind expression. Lovely length of neck, excellent forechest. Good spring of rib. Well angulated quarters. Stylish mover, super topline and hind drive. Preferred hind movement of limit and puppy. 2 Poulter and MacDonald’s Ch Lankelly Kelsey Rose. Sh.CM Beautifully constructed bitch. Lovely head and eye, good length of neck and tight shoulders. Adequate forechest, good spring of rib and hind angulation. Very sound and good topline but not the sparkle of 1st. Patton and Patton’s Audley’s Roads to Lesandnic.
