Full congratulations to this committee for a most impressive venue so well set up and with large carpeted rings. A lovely atmosphere prevailed at this Show. My thanks to the Committee for their hospitality and to the exhibitors for a lovely entry and the sporting manner in which they accepted my decisions. I did find a lot of diversity in type but was well pleased with my overall winners.

V (6) 1 Poulter’s Lankelly Betony. Quality 8.5 yr old girl of lovely size. I liked her head and eye. Strong firm body with good depth. Moved with drive and purpose to win the class; 2 Clifford’s Ch/Ir Ch Ablebody Pizzicato. Lovely Ch of good type and construction. Proper Wire coat, moved truly with drive, close decision; 3 Winchurch’s Terony Duskie Debbie.

SB (2) 1 Brown’s Merlanrose Rhapsody. Pleasing exhibit. Nice head and eye, overall construction okay, level topline but outline spoiled on the move by high tail carriage; 2 Harmer’s Cempsey Corbiere Of Ballanroo. 8 mth old b. Nice head and eye, good bodyshape with ribbing well back. Moved well but needs to mature and settle.

MPD (5) 1 Clifford’s Winterstorm Symphony With Ablebody. Nice type p. Good head and eye, prominent forechest, good length and depth, needs to strengthen in hind movement; 2 Vine’s Cishelving The Jazz Singer. Another attractive p of good length. Movement ok just taller type than 1; 3 Robinson’s Tagundnacht Mr Rosiers.

PD (3) 1 Patton’s Lesandnic Limestone Lad. Quality 9 mth brindle in good condition, well constructed front with good neck and outline. Movement true both ways, co-operated well with the owner to win BP.

LD (8) 1 Vine’s Cishelvine Auld Lang Syne. Good d of excellent type and sound construction, v good front and strong level topline, in hard condition with good muscle tone. Sound true mover; 2 Borman’s Sonic Sir Galahad. Another good exhibit woth lovely head, good reach of neck, well angulated shoulders, well extended ribbing with short loin. Good coat, not the topline of 1. Moved well; 3 Winchurch’s Terony Flexible Friend.

OD (8) 1 Moore’s Ch/Ir Ch Romanchi Comanche. V impressive d, excels in type, balance and outline, so well constructed with good front and rear angulation. Super harsh coat. I liked his sound flowing movement. CC; 2 Rees’ Ch Ermewood Jolly Rodger. Worthy Ch of top quality. I liked his size, ribbing and excellent quarters, good prominent forechest and well angulated front and rear, lovely short hocks and good true movement, had to split hairs here, a v close decision. RCC: 3 Williams’ Liebing’s Pick ‘N’ Mix.

MPB (9) 1 Vine’s Cishelvine Wispa Of Jazz. Lovely feminine p. Well constructed with correct front and good keel. Showed and moved well making it an easy winner in this class; 2 Harmer’s Cempsey Corbiere Of Ballanroo; 3 Gordon’s Cempsey Coquet.

PB (5) 1 Patton’s Lesandic Lizzy The Lizzard. Litter sister to my BP. A well constructed p. Forechest already well developed, good reach of neck. OB (7) 1 Johnstone’s Silvae Picnic. For me the star of the show. Lovely feminine girl, v much my type of Dachshund. I loved her flowing lines and fluent movement. I found her correct in all departments. She was a joy to watch on the move and completely filled my eye. CC, BOB and BIS; 2 Moore’s Romanchi Tagish. Quality well balanced brindle. Well constructed front with correct angulation. Lovely in outline holding her topline on the move. V sound; 3 Johnson’s Sumojo Summer Swallow.
