WIRE HAIRED

I thank the committee and my competent stewards for a most enjoyable day. I was most fortunate that, though not a large entry numerically, it was a high quality entry. The temperaments were unfailingly good and even those winning unopposed would have had little cause to fear competition.

PGD. (2). 1. Gordon’s, Silvae Zanny at Cempsey. Good harsh coated dog with nice head and good angulation. Needs to develop in forechest and firm up in back action to complete the picture.

LD. (4). Cishelvine Firedancer. RBD. Moving well despite his heavily built, rather cobby outline. Again with a good wire coat and his good angulation ading good movement. 2. Terony Flexible Friend. A very different type to first. Lower to ground and less neavily built. Not quite the front of first, but with a lovely outline and moving well. 3. Silvae Hip Pip.

OD. (1). 1. Ch. Ir Ch. Romanchi Commanche. BD and BOB. Though he was making his handler work hard to control him when standing, being happier when on the move. His quality could not be gainsaid. He went BD on his better front and subsequently settled down well to succeed in a close contets for BOB.

PB. (1). 1. Liebling Sea Mistover Cishelvine. RPIB. A happy 7 months puppy throughly enjoying her day. Nicely constructed, good head, good harsh coat and happy moving. Needs to firm in topline yet, but she is a baby with time on her side.

JB. (1). 1. Bystock African Queen. BB and BOS. A really lovely girl with everything going for her. Lovely head, well ribbed and closely coupled, well angulated fore and aft. Lovely jacket and keeping her topline while striding out well. In close contetion for BOB but just giving way to the more mature dog on the day.

GB. (1). 1. Silvae Zloty. Shows a nice outline with good hind angulation. Moving with obvious enjoyment and verve. She needs to tighten up in elbow but that may improve with maturity.

PGB. (1). 1. Terony Flo Jo at Speldax. A happy friendly girl of lovely disposition. Somewhat short in upper arm detracting from her prosternum and which may be linked to her tending to lose her topline on the move.

LB. (3). 1. Silvae Coo Ee. Just taking the decision over second in a very close contest by virtue of her slightly better movement. Nice outline, good angulation. Excellent coat and movement with a lovely disposition. 2. Romanchi Tagish. Many of the same comments apply. Perhaps a better outline than first but though striding out well has a tendency to turn in a rear foot. 3. Terony Flo Jo at Speldax.

OB. (2). 1. Brockbane Singing Spirit with Romanchi. Though standing alone capable of winning in strong competition. Lovely construction, moving well and a typical wire in both coat and temperament. Just losing a very close decision for BB.
