I found the breed to be in very good shape. Not many entered but of the highest quality.
PD (3) 1 Hunt’s Cwmdarhian Hogan’s Hero at Carpaccio, what a good start to the day to judge the first dog of such quality. Very smart, super head & neck, great front & backend, level topline, in tip-top condition, moved great. BP & RCC; 2 Naylor’s Maryhazel Power Of Praise, smaller type than 1 but beautiful head & eye, good neck & front, nice hindquarters & a very smart mover. PGD (2) 1 Gatheral-Graham’s Phaeland Screw Driver, red of excellent quality, good head giving true expression, nice front & feet, level topline, good keel & depth of chest, very good hindquarters, moved true. LD (1) 1 Brettell’s Hampdach Rich Legacy at Diminudax, b/t, good type, nice head, good neck & front. A bit high on the back end but still a quality hound. Great mover. OD (4) 1 Bethel’s Rus/Gr Ch Hampdach Famous Rumourz, red of top quality, super head & eye, loved his neck & front, great keel, depth of chest, firm body, super hindquarters & what a mover. Loved his arrogance & outlook. Won CC over some beautiful dogs; 2 Hunt’s Ch Lauralee Living Daylights at Carpaccio, b/t, beautiful head & neck, good front, correct topline, in excellent condition, moved very well; 3 Dalgety’s Thundergay Archduke.
PB (3) 1 Bethel’s Hampdach Copperhead Rose, red of good quality, lovely head, dark eye, very good reach of neck, true front & feet. Just needs to tighten up on the move. PGB (5) 1 Gatheral-Graham’s Phaeland Special Duty, red who would look better if she lost some weight. Super head & neck, correct front, good depth of chest, moved OK; 2 Holburn’s Phaeland Strathisla Dawn, red who has a weight problem. Lovely type, nice head, good neck & front, moved OK. LB (4) 1 Cooper’s Hacienda Lo N Behold It’s Sontag, dark red of super quality, loved her excellent head, darkest of eyes, beautiful neck & shoulder, perfect outline, in excellent condition. What a super mover. CC & BOB; 2 Turner’s Marictur Moulin Rouge, red, excellent quality, lovely head & neck, level topline, correct outline, moved very well; 3 Gatheral-Graham’s Rijobeau League Of Honour. OB (2) 1 Turner’s Marictur Uptown Madam, b/t of nice size, excellent outline, lovely head & eye giving true expression, good neck & front, very good hindquarters, beautiful mover. RCC; 2 Hunt’s Ch Lauralee Miss Chokky Wokey at Carpaccio, super head & front, good feet, level topline, in excellent condition, moved well.
