SMOOTH HAIRED

Main faults found, breast bones getting too big & deep. Hindquarter construction needs to be improved upon, this showed in the movements. A few with flat feet, one with temperament problems. Head shape in the smooths is getting better. Ear size could be better, a few with poor length & depth of ribbing & poor toplines. I thank al exhibitors for their entries. I’m sure a number of d’s will change award places when mature.

JD (6). Mostly p’s in this class. 1 Eales & Tite. Launalee The X Factor. Right on the limit with breast bone, hope he doesn’t get any bigger. Nice d well balanced, standing & on the move. Nice quarters used well, gd head, nice length of neck into gd shoulders, gd depth & length of ribbing, level topline, liked him; 2 McCarthy’s Seatris Mixed To Match. It was close between 1st & 2nd but I felt the 2n’d quarters need improvement, stood a little close on table & showed on the move, otherwise a nice type; 3 Mitchell’s Rosenket Harvest Moon.

PG (2). 1 Punter’s Welcumen Kiss Me Quick. Liked this d a lot, gd size, well balanced on the move, nice quarters used well, RBD. Should d v well given the chance it was close for BD, but maturity & confidence was the deciding factor, RBD: 2 Harris’ The Jet Setters Legacy NAF. Not got the construction sorted out yet, needs time to tray & sort itself out.

LD (1). 1 Eales & Tite’s Lauralee Role Of Honour Via Ruobeau. A different type, needs to watch the weight wouldn’t like him any larger. Well made carrying plenty of bone. Gd head, gd forechest, nice length of neck into gd shoulders, level topline, standing & on the move, gd ribbing, nicely made quarters, used well, gd movement, nice d should do well for his owners.

OD (1). 1 McCarthy’s Ch Seatris Laced With Success. Nice size of d, nicely put together had everything I was looking for, just one little problem, I would like stronger quarters. BD pleased he was shortlisted in the Hound Group, well done.

JB (3). 1 Punter’s Welcumen Returned Kiss. BB, BP, nice size, b, had everything I was looking for, should do v well for her owner given the chance. Well balanced standing & on the move. About the best quarters given her age on the day. Close between her & the d for BOB. Maturity & again confidence was the decider. The only b this day, but a worthy winner.
