Lovely to judge this proud and majestic breed. The standard of exhibits was very even and of excellent quality, although a few sloppy and sloping toplines and the odd flat feet did effect my final decisions, tail sets and carriage on the whole were very good.
Veteran Dog : 2
1st: Paskin`s CEDAVOCH IT1S TABOO AT KINDEACE,
7 ½ year old red, slightly different style to 2nd and not my initial winner but he is a well balanced , masculine hound who is well constructed and moved soundly keeping his topline ,very nicely ,at all times.
2nd: Pike & Carter`s CH. ZARCREST GEORGE CLOONEY.
8 ½ years red , at first my winner, he has great style and type and in great coat, looked the part standing, just preferred winner moving on the final run and side on.
Minor Puppy Dog : 3 [ 1 abs , 1 withdrawn]
1st: Basha`s DELSAUX MADE IT JUMBO BAND.
8 mths red , sired by the Veteran winner he has a handsome head and dark eye. Lovely pup to go over with excellent front and hind co-ordination, good feet. I am sure he will do well but at the moment really needs to lose a few pounds as it rather spoils his outline on the move, but sound front and rear.
Puppy Dog : 2
1st: Mitchell`s DACHYCLAN CONNOLLY AT BRONIA [ IMP AUS ]
A very special b/t who is just under 1 yr. He oozes quality and type, looked great standing and moving, he has the most gorgeous head and dark eye and has all the essentials for his age. Coped very well with the heat and I was pleased to award him and easy Best Puppy in Breed and very proud to see him win a strong Puppy Group and be eventual Best Puppy In Show.A super win and many congratulations, I am sure he will be a major star in the future. One I would definitely take home.
2nd: Lacey`s ABYDEZI SHADES OF GLORY,
9 ¾ mths red, another handsome ,well balanced head and dark eye. Not the maturity and style of above but he has good overall conformation with correct feet and is sound fore and aft.
Junior Dog :1
1st: Robert`s SWANSFORD PADAWANADOR,
Only 13 mths but he is quite mature with a classic head and dark eye. Another very promising youngster who is in grand coat and condition. Lovely standing with correct front and hind angulation with good feet. Moved soundly and with style. Strongly considered him for the res CC but did look his age in the challenge. Unfortunately stood alone in the class.
Post Graduate Dog: 1
1st: Pike & Carter`s BREEZELYN LOVE YOU LONG TIME.
Masculine , upstanding 2 yrs red with elegant head, dark eye and correct ear set. Good length of neck into correctly laid shoulders with great fore-chest , depth and length of body. Correct topline which he kept well on the move with good hind-angulation and sound throughout. Another who lacked finish in the challenge , see he is sired by an old favourite of mine and I am sure he will follow in his dad`s footsteps when mature.
Limit Dog:5
1st: Fricker`s SUNDAYSHILL THEODORE AT BORZAC,
Nearly 3 yrs male who I immediately liked his overall balance and conformation .Super head and dark eye, he is mature and masculine without any coarseness. In fine coat and condition he moved with great style ,soundness and has great front reach and drive behind. Looked good both standing and moving with great ease , really made the best of himself in the challenge and I was pleased to award him, without hestitation, his first CC.
2nd:McNaughton`s CEDAVOCH CIRCEO,
Striking red who at only 14 mths was impressive in many ways. Lacked the maturity and finish of winner but he is a lovely youngster who has a classic head and dark eye. Very well constructed throughout with flowing angles, excellent stylish and sound mover. A real showman who deserved the res CC amongst strong competition.
3rd: Taylor` & Hilton`s DELSAUX ACROSS THE UNIVERSE.
Open Dog: 3 Close decision between the first two
1st: Paskin`s KINDEACE TEXAS RANGER Sh CEx
4 years mature mahogany red, very handsome head and expression with dark eye. Slightly taller than classmates with excellent front and hind co-ordination. Good depth and fore-chest with correct feet. Very nice dog to go over he has excellent sound, parallel movement and great style and presence. Just preferred the younger hounds in the challenge on side-movement and keeping their toplines firmer on the move.
2nd: Robert`s CH. SWANSFORD PRESTONADOR,
Just 3 yrs red , quality hound who I just preferred the head of winner but he has a lot like about him with excellent overall balance , conformation and type ,moved soundly , not quite the presence of above today.
3rd: Lewis` TRIXHUND TEN FROM LEN JW
Minor Puppy Bitch :1
1st: Taylor & Hilton`s DELSAUX SINGER WITH THE BAND.
8 mths very pretty red, litter sister to Minor puppy dog and is very similar in type and quality. More mature than her sibling she looked great standing , sound easy mover when settled but still at the `roly poly` stage. I liked her a lot and although she stood alone in this class I feel she shows a lot of promise for the future.
Junior Bitch: 2
1st: Robert`s SWANSFORD PADMEADORA,
13 mths red, another top quality hound from this excellently consistent breeder . Classic head and dark eye, good neck into well laid shoulders with great fore-chest and correct feet. Good depth and length , well bodied with pleasing outline standing and moving. Excellent hind co-ordination which she used well on the move. Nice tail and set, mature fore age. Great type.
2nd: Curtis-Lateo`s SWANSFORD PRIYANKADORA,
Red litter sister to above , not the maturity, coat or finish of winner but she has a pretty head and expression, nicely constructed throughout she just lacks the ringcraft and practise needed at this age.
Post Graduate: 6 Very nice class where the first 2 were difficult to separate.
1st: Robert`s SWANSFORD DEBHORADORA,
Full sister to 2 above but 6 mths older and more mature. Only 18 mths old but has a lot of style and presence. Lovely head and eye, correct ear set, very similar in style and conformation to the Junior B winner and so sound front and rear. Quite a character and a bit of a handful , very well handled to get the best out of her.
2nd:Paskin`s KINDEACE YOU WEAR IT WELL,
Close decision between these first 2 and although I slightly preferred the head of winner this 2 yrs mahogany red has a lot to like about her. Lovely outline with correct angles front and rear, well bodied with good length and depth. Excellent sound mover ,not as well coated as above which would complete the picture.

1st: Pike & Carter`s BREEZELYN LONGING FOR LOVE,
Just 2 yrs lovely rich red hound who immediately caught my attention when she entered the ring. Elegant throughout in fine body and condition. For me she has great type and quality, so sound with excellent front reach and hind drive. Lovely feet. she looked great standing and moved with great style and presence. Really swept around the ring keeping her topline at all times and has that extra pizzazz that won her the class, the CC and BOB with ease. Presented in lovely coat and expertly handled.
2nd: Sainsbury`s DRYMOOR MARRON GLACE AT BOSCOLLA.
2 ¾ yrs red who coped very well with the heat today, feminine throughout with excellent topline and outline, just not the smooth, easy movement of above. Preferred fore-quarters and feet of winner.
3rd: Lacey`s ABYDACHS RENEGADE ANGEL AT ABYDEZI.
Open Bitch: 3
1st: McNaughton`s CEDAVOCH JUST AN ILLUSION,
Excellent 14 months red, quite surprised to see she was in Open at such a tender age but she really held her own [and more ] against the older competition. Super overall qualities , mature with great type and style. So sound throughout and very similar to her excellent winning litter brother and pleased to also award her the res CC today. I will watch both their futures with interest.
2nd: Robert`s CH. SWANSFORD PATRICIADORA
3 yrs red, feminine head and dark eye, slightly shorter coupled than above she has excellent front and hind co-ordination but not quite the reach and drive on the side-movement of above today. Well bodied with good depth. In grand coat and presentation.
3rd: Pike & Carter`s ZARCREST ANGELINA JOLIE AT BREEZELYN.
