I would like to thank the officers of committee for inviting me to judge at their show. Also thankyou to my two very efficient lady stewards, and to the exhibiters for their entry’s. My first CC appointment for Standard longs, and I enjoyed judging this lovely variety. Some variance in size and type , but I was well pleased with my principle winners.

Veteran. Dog or Bitch. 6/ 2A

1st Suttons Damai Master Benedict sh/cm, 12 year old black and tan, in gleaming coat and in superb condition for his age. Lovely houndy head, elegant neck, well placed shoulders and ribbing, well-muscled hind quarters. Strong movement, showing his elegance…a credit to his owner. BV

2nd Marks CH. Brynalyn Royal Warrior via Labbadax Sh/cm. Smaller type shaded red of 8 years, with good overall balance. Lovely head, long neck , the best shoulders. Moved soundly , with good hind drive. In excellent condition.

3rd Dimons. Dimerlin Isolde.

PD 4

1st Rodrigues , Darsoms Zydexta, Shaded red ,with lovely body, houndy head without coarseness . Good shoulders and ribbing, well angulated meaty quarters, moving well, with good extension for and aft.

2nd Mitchells..Bronia Zethan, A heavier type than one, and lower to ground, but has a look of quality . Not the shoulder and upper arm of one, but lovely angulated hind quarters, and in gleaming condition. He moved well, with good head carriage , would like more ground clearance.

3rd Duchesne’s Darsoms Zyjosh of Scandell.

JD 1

1st Dare’s Darsoms Zybrox, 11 month’s Dark Shaded red boy of super type, litter brother to 1st in PD . Lovely head, prominent front and tight elbows, long elegant neck, enough ribbing, strong well angulated quarters, which he used well on the move, he just flowed round the ring, with arrogant head carriage, a commanding performance from this exciting young dog. BP, CC,BOB and BPIS, I will watch his career with interest.

PGD 5

1st Duchesne’s Darsoms Samba of Scandell, Clear red, this dog is so well balanced, with lovely feet, good front construction, tight fitting elbows, well placed shoulder, ribbing could go further back, looked good in profile, and moved well.

2nd Johnsons Africandawns Night Lement . Shaded red with a lovely head. Not the front construction of one, but has lengthy ribbing, hind angulation could be better,, moving well, keeping his top line.

3rd Furneaux’s Shardaroba’s Silent Witness.

LD 6

Strong Class… Difficult decision 1 and 2.

1st Mitchells Bronia, True Legacy, Quality red young dog, with a lovely head, well made front with tight fitting elbows, long neck, and good shoulder placement. Ribbing going well back, like his ground clearance

lovely in profile. RCC.

2nd Johnsons Africandawns Night Hawk, Dark shaded red, Lovely head, he has an excellent front and shoulder placement, ribs extend well back, strong free mover, just not quite the overall balance of one.

3rd Geeson’s Abydachs Seize the Night.

OD 2

Dare’s Darsoms Zamson, Another good exhibit from this kennel, red dog who has lovely feet, prominent front and decent ribbing, moved with confidence, looked a picture in profile.

2nd Cook and Rhodes…Bournder Regency Malachite, Black and tan of nice type, not the shoulders of one, and could have better hind angulation, sound mover, with a good topline, moved out well.

PB 2

1st Eve’s Sunday’s Hill Hermione, Well-schooled 9months red girl. Good front construction, and lovely feet. Decent length of ribbing, and well-rounded quarters, she moved soundly and confidently, keeping a level top line.

2nd Sutton and Pankhurst Lilia Rose at Damai, Shaded red puppy who needs time to mature, not as together as one. She moved out well, needs to settle into her hind quarters.

JB 3

1st Mitchells Bronia Atlanta, Shaded red girl, with lovely head and expression. Correct front construction, long neck into well placed shoulder., and good hind angles. She moved with style, an elegant well-constructed girl, moves close behind.

2nd Geesons Abydachs One Night Only. Red girl who has a lovely head. Tight feet. Correct front construction, long neck, and good ribbing. Lovely to watch on the move which was sound and positive. Coat in excellent condition.

3rd Johnsons Africandawns Night Wizzard

PGB 5.

There was a very nice bitch in this class, who would not co-operate on the table, also carrying too much weight, having just weaned puppies. I penalised accordingly.

1st Marches Marshwick Morning Cloud. Black and tan who is quite small for a standard. Sweet head, she has very good front construction and shoulder placement, and well-rounded quarters, moved with drive, holding a good top line…. just want more of her!

2nd Eve’s Sundayshill Anastasia. Shaded red, lovely head and expression, with neat front and feet. Not the shoulder placement of one, fair ribbing, moved well, on her decent rear angulation, would like more rear drive.

3rd Wilson’s Rogermardax Lady Willow

LB 5 Close decision.1/2

1st Dares Zyanara, Shaded red, who is lower to ground than I would like, she has a lovely head, correct front construction, elegant neck into good shoulder placement. Rounded meaty quarters, which she used well on the move showing a classic outline.

2nd Mitchells Bronia Precious Legacy, I liked the better ground clearance on this red girl, she has a lovely head, very good front construction, elegant neck and shoulder, well ribbed, well angulated quarters, in excellent condition, she needs to settle in movement, a young lady needs time.

3rd Eves Dachslur Mairi my Dream at Sundyashill.

OB 4 A strong class. These four lovely bitches will no doubt change placings on other occasions.

1st Bournder Ruby Empress. Top quality shaded red, not a glamorous girl, you need to put your hands on her to appreciate her qualities She has a classic head, her front and shoulder construction are from the top drawer! Excellent ribbing. strong well-muscled quarters, she moved with drive and good front extension, in tip top condition, a real hound, she had to have my CC today…her 4th. Well done.

2nd Geesons Abydachs Giving of Sparks. Quality, elegant, dark shaded red girl with the most gorgeous head and expression, lovely front construction, long neck, and good ribbing. Liked her length to height and rounded quarters, in beautiful coat and condition, she moved with drive and style. Res CC.

3rd Marks . CH Labbadax Belladonna
