Thank you exhibitors for your entry, we all have differing opinions on what is a good Dachshund, this was my view on the day.

P 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Viva La Vida, puppy bitch needing time to fill out. Pleasing head & almond eye, giving good expression. Robust bone, on which to develop strong pliant muscles, enough rib & good rear angles. She had good ground clearance & move with reaching stride. BP; 2 Dunbar & McNaughton’s Dawn Treader, dog of similar age to bitch who could easily change places. Masculine expression from dark eyes, long strong neck into shoulders, depth in chest & developing forechest, good ribbing, sound loin. Had the better coat & well feathered throughout, not as positive on the move today. JD 1 Fossett’s Brydax Jack’s Back, stood alone in this class. Typical conical shaped head, dark eye, long well muscled neck. Good bone & tight feet. Slight wave to coat & good length of tail. PGD 1 Duinbar’s Daamistico Kamali, shaded/r of pleasing size. Liked his head & almond shaped eye, strong neck, good shoulders & spring of rib, well ribbed back, very fluid on the move, good ground clearance. Long well feathered tail; 2 Fossett’s Brydax Second To None, good depth of chest but not the volume, straight forelegs & tight feet, strong pliant muscles. LD 1 McNaughton’s Telkel Rumor Has It, very handsome masculine head & expression, correct almond shaped eye & ear placement. Muscular neck of good length into good quality shoulder placement, full front & depth of chest lovely strong bone tight feet. Balanced body with correct ribbing, properly angulated hindquarters, which he used to move with positive drive, he moved with sound length of stride. CC, BOB, in the Hound group he was one of the few considered for a second look; 2 McFaul’s Shararoba Taylor Made for Dachville, pleasant overall outline on the stand, decent head & eye, good front, & bone. Carried his head well on the move & gleaming coat condition; 3 Lindsay’s Bronia Plutus. OD 1 Roberts’ Swansford Warrador, quality dog & pushed hard for the CC. Excellence masculine head. Good reach of neck to firm topline. Plenty bone, balanced angulation both fore & aft, good ribcage with prominent pro-sternum. Strong well muscled hindquarters, enabling him to move with power, drive & style. Excellent b/t coat with ample feathering. Today RCC; 2 Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Lotario, another quality dog, first rate head, reach of neck flowing into topline, tail carried well. Good front, prominent breastbone & well sprung ribs. He moved with drive; 3 Hutton’s River Rumpus Through Dachalune.

PGB 1 Dunbar’s Daaistico Naira, has a lovely feminine head & well developed body. Good reach of neck & topline, ample front & sternum with good bone. Topline held on the move. She had a broad round rump, & a lovely soft flat coat. LB 1 McNaughton’s Cedavoch Kismet, lovely red bitch, correct size, long muscular neck, well developed chest, topline held on the move. Enough bone & good tight well knuckled feet. She carried herself with poise & elegance, clean short hocks, purposeful movement from well developed full rump. RCC; 2 Paskins’ Kindeace Rita Ora, feminine head & darkest of eye, length of neck, spring of rib. Not as positive on the move today; 3 Hutton’s Daamistico at Dachalune. O 1 Cook & Rhodes’ Bournder Ruby Empress, red with pleasing conical head & feminine expression, well muscled neck into good layback of shoulders, full & oval chest with good ground clearance well ribbed back & strong topline. In excellent condition, moved out well with purpose & power, pleased to award her the CC; 2 Paskins’ Abydachs Summer Dream at Kindeace, lovely head & eye, graceful neck, full chest & prominent sternum, ribbing well back, moved out well not quite the drive of winner; 3 Mitchell’s Bronia No Peeping. V 1 Roberts’ Ch Swansford Burburydora, what can I say about this lady she has seen it all. Lovely feminine head & the darkest eyes well set ears & good furnishings. Long correctly muscled neck into shoulders at correct layback, that gives her forward reach. She had excellent tight feet. Depth of forechest & spring of ribs which carried well back. She moved with ease. A puppy in disguise. Strongly considered her in the challenge.
