The observations that I wrote about in the Dachshund Club handbook, had not changed, with hind movement being the main criticism. However there are good virtues that should be continued to be built on, for it to remain a strong & active breed. Most dogs were presented well & in good coat. Condition overall was excellent.

PD (2) 1 Roberts’ Swansford Kestador, a well constructed young dog, with a promising future, & quality stamped through him. Good shaped head, dark eye, super shoulder placement & good depth of brisket. Good bone with adequate ribbing, kept his topline at all times. A well balanced dog. BP; 2 Dunbar’s Daamistico Kamali, nicely constructed young dog. Correct head, eye & reach of neck into good shoulders. Moved well. JD (4,1a) 1 Cooper, Steadman & Hendron’s Bronia Mr Mcgregor, a nicely constructed dog. He has no outstanding faults. Moves round the ring with drive & determination, excellent well presented coat, keeping his topline at all times; 2 Dare & Guy’s Darsoms Zobama, a very nice head & length of neck. Has a good forechest, & depth of ribbing. Nice angulation giving a good profile. Good movement; 3 Marks’ Labbadax Early Eclipse. PGD (4,1) 1 Dare & Guy’s Zarcrest Marc Jacobs at Darsoms, a nicely constructed dog. He has no outstanding faults & is a pleasure to judge. Moves round the ring with drive & determination, keeping his topline at all times. Well presented; 2 Cook & Rhodes’ Bournder Regency Malachite, a nice size dog, good head & dark eye, with a nice reach of neck which carries his head well. Lovely tight feet, good coat & moved well; 3 Fossett’s Africandawns Night Gaurdian at Brysdax. LD (4,1) 1 Fossett’s Brysdax Second To None, another fine example of the breed, he also is sound & well constructed with good movement. Well shaped head with dark eye & good reach of neck. Tight well kept feet. Correct type coat. Moved soundly; 2 Cook & Rhodes’ Abydachs Rides The Storm to Bournder, a nicely constructed dog. He has no outstanding faults & is a pleasure to judge. Moves round the ring with drive & determination, keeping his topline at all times; 3 Hutton’s River Rumpus through Dachalune.OD (5) I can understand why these two dogs have had such a successful career. There is little to dislike on either & little to separate them. Both in super condition & a privilege to go over. I have little to add to their critique that others before me haven’t passed comment on. 1 Boyle’s Ch Zarcrest Hugo Boss, well constructed dog with no obvious faults. Good front & rear movement. Tight shoulders & good ribbing. Nice dark eye good reach of neck. CC; 2 Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Mr Pepys, a sound overall compact dog, sound movement. Lovely forechest onto tight well presented feet. Good depth of ribbing. RCC; 3 Hutton’s Rolo Rascal over Dachalune. VD (2) 1 Sutton’s Sh Ch Damai Master Benedict, a dog I have seen from the ringside many times. He is overall a credit to the breed with sound & correctly built front assembly. Good head, reach of neck depth of ribbing. BV; 2 Fossett’s Melminds Method In Madness via Brysdax, presented in excellent condition, super temperament, moved with drive & determination. Also a credit to the breed.

PB (7) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia No Peeping, looking excellent on the day, with a promising future ahead I am sure. Moved around the ring with drive & determination, showing a nice outline & firm topline. Excellent shoulder placement & sound ribbing. Good angulation; 2 Paskin’s Kindeace Rita Ora, good head, dark eye with a nice reach of neck into tight shoulders & a good depth of rib. Moved well; 3 Cheese’s Suecaseus Juliet. JB (3) 1 Dare & Guy’s Darsoms Zindzi, a lovely dog to go over & nicely constructed overall. Excellent shaped head, dark eye & a good reach of neck. Sound dropdown onto tight well kept feet. Good length of ribbing. Sound movement fore & aft. Keeps her topline at all times. Moved round the ring like she owned it; 2 Geeson’s Abydachs Vision Of The Night, a nice overall type, moved well & soundly. Excellent shoulder placement, good dropdown onto well kept tight feet. Depth of ribbing good; 3 Garlick’s Ranglewood Diamond Heist. PGB (3,1) 1 Garlick’s Ranglewood Idesia; 2 Lumley’s Tarramist Tsarine. LB (5) 1 Garlick’s Ranglewood Justica, a really pleasing dog to go over, with no exaggerated faults & sound movement. Lovely shaped head with dark eyes. Excellent forechest & good tight well kept feet, good length of ribbing & correct hind angulation. Moved well; 2 Mitchell’s Miss Moppeta, lovely dog to go over, & nicely constructed overall. Excellent shaped head, dark eye & a good reach of neck. Sound dropdown onto tight well kept feet. Good length of ribbing. Sound movement fore & aft; 3 Sutton’s Flower by Damai. OB (7,1) 1 Mcfaul’s Ch/Ir Ch Dachville Special Blend, I could not take my eye of this bitch, she is so elegant & flows soundly round the ring with drive & determination. In excellent condition with no outstanding faults, & a pleasure to award CC & BOB; 2 Geeson’s Abydachs Summer Lovin, a really pleasing dog to go over, with no exaggerated faults & sound movement. Lovely shaped head with dark eyes. Excellent forechest & good tight well kept feet, good length of ribbing. RCC; 3 Harris & Winchurch’s Zarcrest Devil Wears Prada.
