LONGHAIRED

PD (4)  1 & BP Mitchell’s Bronia Lotario a rising star.  Loved him and think he will go all the way.  Beautiful head, undeniably male yet not over -strong  and coarse as quite a few males were.  Terrific neck, ribcage carries well back and has a decent underline – not cutting up quickly as was common.  Back level, excellent croup line and he is well angulated both ends. Flawless presentation coat shining in the sunlight and he has a long flowing stride as he circles the ring.  A worthy BP   2 Geeson’s Abydachs Kicks Up a Storm  just over 6 months this dark red is yet another puppy of great potential.  Clearly less advanced in body as the winner but he has well weighted bone, an outline which is aided by a super neck, he has length of rib, balanced angulations and he too can move around with such an easy stride, holding his shape.  His head eyes and expression were a delight.  3 Cook & Rhodes’  Abydachs Rides the Storm to Bournder

JD (7/1)  1  & Res CC Dare’s Darsoms Zaconic a b/t of lovely type and shape.  I loved his head, strength without heaviness, beautiful eyes for size, shape, colour and expression, ears lying close to his cheeks and a lovely chin finish.  His body is well developed in rib, ample keel and such a good rump and hind angulation.  His action was a delight to watch and on the stack his head carriage and length of neck draw the eye.  Despite strong opposition I could not resist giving him the Res CC.  2 Johnson’s  Africandawns Night Dancer, nice red dog good size and bone.  Pleasing head, very good eyes and ears, scores in layback in shoulder and level back.  His underline cuts up a little sharply in comparison to the winner but his smooth, easy striding side action served him well. 3 Marks’ Brynalyn Royal Warrier via Labbadax

PGD (5/1)  1 Paskins’ Kindeace Laird of Lockloy another b/t which won her on his smooth, active action where he covers the ground so effortlessly and with drive.  Good head, long neck with a smooth backline and he is well let down in hock.  Just tends to fall away too quickly over the croup for me, but his virtues earned him the red card in this mixed class.  2 Dunnet’s Fragglerock Zontor up to size, very male head, ample reach of neck, long, well sprung ribcage which has good depth and a clean underline.  Shade longer in loin than I like, between coats so it was a bit lacklustre in finish, finally settled to move out quite well as he circled the ring. 3 Fossett’s Owlery Carlos at Brysdax

LD (5)  1 McNaughton’s Cedavoch Kaballah  b/t in full coat.  Easily the best moving in this class his smooth, driving action evidence of his sound construction.  Strong breast bone adds to his outline appeal, lovely backline with a little rise over the loin, well set tail and excellent hindquarters.  Certainly has style and I’m sure will do well 2 Sutton’s Damai Master Benedict ShCM  yet another b/t and I thought this handsome chap scored in his overall balance, clean cut outline all flowing lines and curves and his condition was spot on. I liked his head, a real wedge, skull amply wide with lovely eyes and ears.  Not quite the relaxed, free stride of the winner in profile. 3 Dunbar’s Bronia Feranado

OD (6) 1 & CC Johnson’s Bronia Prime Design at Africandawns  a red which is so balanced and un-exaggerated that the more I looked at him the more he appealed.  A lovely size, strong bone, good legs and feet and his ribs carry well back to a short loin and a real rounded rump aft.  His head is all quality, of good length, foreface balances the skull, his ears are close to his cheeks and he has lovely eyes.  Enough reach of neck he did everything asked of him on the move, straight hocks, sufficient drive and side on he holds his outline.  I believe this win gives him his title.  2 Geeson’s Abbydachs Oh What a Night JW if awards were given purely on condition and presentation this worthy Ch would win. He was immaculate in coat and body and showed himself off with great aplomb. His type is super, the shape demands to be admired and his flowing profile stride shows reach and power. He has a good skull and  beautiful dark, well shaped eyes.  Certainly a worthy titleholder and a delight to judge. 3 Mitchell’s Bronia Classic Legacy (ai)

PB (6/2)   Headed by two lovely b/ts which were so similar in make and shape that it made splitting them quite hard. They are both a lovely size type, excelling in balanced construction, they have substance, good ribbing and hindquarters and they can move out with a decent length of stride, hocks well used and fronts true when fore viewed.  I just felt that for me the winner had the edge in being that fraction better in expression, but it was close.1 McFaul’s Dachville Special Blend  2 Dunbar & McNaughton’s Bronia Velveteen  3 Marks’ Bronia Lunette with Labbadax

JB (6/2) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Estee I liked this very promising b/t and feel sure she will go on to greater wins. Lovely to go over, well balanced head, good foreface and chin finish, long neck, strong fore chest and ribcage carries well back to a short loin. As ever from this handler, immaculate in coat presentation and schooled to perfection.  2 Marsden & Robinson’s Bronia Carlotta a red in lovely coat condition. I thought she scored in her head quality, clean cut, a real wedge and a beautiful expression.  Body has plenty length and reasonable shoulders but for me she lacks hind angulation and she steps a little short when viewed in side action. 3 Dunbar’s Bronia Cascade

PGB (2)  1 Mitchell’s Bronia Charisma at Imirika  shaded red strongly made throughout  well ribbed, firm backline and she acquits herself well on the move. 2 Kermode’s Metadale Make Up Your Mind whilst the winner was top size for me, this little lady was at the other end of the scale and I would like more of her all over. In lovely coat, she moves out with ease, is balanced in proportions has a shapely outline, just there was more of her.

LB (5)  1 McNaughton’s Cedavoch Sorceress red gold bitch, so shapely stunning outline except on the occasions when she drops into her hindquarters and her backline slopes down from the withers! She has an excellent spring and depth to her ribs, a slight rise over the loin and a real rounded rear end.  Her head handles well, strong jaws give a punishing finish and her eyes are a good size and shape.  Once persuaded to hold her shape longer, will be a threat. 2 Garlick’s Ranglewood Genista  another b/t with an air of quality and style. Her  appeal is her balance, lovely neck well used, smooth clean cut lines with decent shoulders and well bent stifles all adding to a good picture.  I liked her head, she was in lovely condition and her side action was a delight. I felt the winner came towards me that bit truer, but it was a close decision.3 Metcalfe-Bilgin’s Metadale My Oh My

OB (7/1)  1 CC & BOB McFaul’s Ch & Ir Ch Dachville Perfect Blend yet another b/t and this one right out of the top drawer.  I have admired her before and I think she is quite beautiful  I love her head, strength yet with that  degree of elegance and sheer class with those quite lovely eyes   giving an expression which is so hard to resist.  For me she ticked all the boxes, shape, balance, type, beautiful outline and so sound in action.  Delighted to add to her laurels.   2 & Res CC Boyle’s Ch. Zarcrest Special Effects for Frankenwen another b/t and I honestly have  no colour preference.  In full coat, she sparkled and what a show off!  She is beautiful and has an air of style which is hard to resist. Delightful headpiece, excellent reach of neck, well laid shoulders and the firmest of backlines.  Underline correct and she has very good hind angulation. She more than pleased me on the move, powerful hock action and so true when coming towards me.  Deserved her win in this strong class. 3 Mitchell’s Ch. Bronia Enchantress JW
