I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at this prestigious show; also grateful thanks to my two very efficient stewards for working so hard in the exceptionally hot conditions.
May I also thank the competitors for giving me such a generous entry and accepting my judging decisions in good spirit.
VD (1)
MPD 1
1.Whitehouse’s Gralinn November Air. 6 mth raw babe, pleasing head, correct dentition. Developing front with slightly short upper arm at the moment. Good length of ribbing, firm top-line, well angulated rear. Moved soundly.
PGD 8 (3)
1.Stone’s Milkwood’s May Time At Peakybarkers. Smart brindle with good wiry coat. Masculine head, compact neck, good front alignment with depth of keel. Adequate length of ribbing, good underline. Firm top-line held on the move. Nice turn of stifle moved freely, but little close coming.
2. West & Sexton’s Bimini Night Sky With Archidax. Compact dog with pleasing expression. Masculine head with correct bite. Adequate shoulder angulation and ribbing. Top-line a little soft at times, strong rear, moved true fore & aft.
3.Fitzherbert Stewart & Tomsett’s Dajean Spanish Gold With Ottateck
LD 7 (1)
1. Kilroy’s Sweet Child of Mine JW. Striking compact dog with a “look at me attitude” who just owned the ring; he has everything I was looking for in a MW. Masculine head, strong pigmentation with dark eye, correct dentition. Good length of neck flowing into a correctly angulated front, tight elbows. Excellent length of ribbing, short loin. Strong top-line which was held on the move. Super unexaggerated rear with excellent turn of stifle and short well let-down hocks. Wonderful hammy rear! Such a sound balanced dog who covers the ground effortlessly. Cracking harsh red coat, at one with his handler. I had no hesitation in awarding him the DCC & BOB.
2. Mullen’s Rozelle Fools Gold (sire of my ticket winner). Another lovely dog where many of the attributes above apply; just not quite the front of 1 and slightly softer in coat. However so much else to like about him I’m sure his day will come.
3.Kirkwood-Emery’s Helydon Xtra Xpecial JW
OD10 (1)
1. Jones’ Ch Bimini Song Sung Blue JW. Neat quality dog. Classic head, reachy neck flowing into well aligned front, tight elbows. Adequate length of ribbing, firm top-line, solid on the move. Well angulated rear with nice turn of stifle. Harsh coat, no exaggerations. Moved true fore & aft but just lacked zest today, probably due to the heat. RCC
2. Rose’s Ridanflight Gilcoru Gino. Red dog with pleasing head and expression. Masculine head, dark eye, correct dentition. Nice length of neck, well- constructed front, firm top-line. Reasonable hide angulation, sound fluid mover.
3.Beach & Partridge’s Ch Cardaxians Bambam Baby.
VB 1
1. West’s Ch Archidax Dark Phoenix. Compact red bitch with wonderful harsh coat. Feminine head with dark eye. Good front construction, with nice ribbing, and strong firm top-line. Powerful rear which she uses effectively. Moves true fore & aft. BVIB
MPB 4 (2)
1.Mantle’s Bimini Moondance At Rhiewvalley. 6mth babe with delightful attitude. Front still developing but everything in the right place. Holds top-line firm on the move. Sufficient hind angulation. Moves soundly.
2. Crossman & Kennedy’s Drakesleat Bee Gud. 9 mth with sweet feminine head. Good length neck and front alignment. Adequate ribbing, top-line a little soft at times. Good rear, would have liked greater length of second thigh. Moved freely.
PB 1 (1)
1.Kirkwood-Emery’s Helydon Yer Yolo. 9 mth with cracking harsh brindle coat. Classic head with correct almond eye, good dentition. Well-developed front with sufficient ribbing. Firm top- line kept on the move. Adequate rear angulation, moved true fore & aft.

1. Mullen’s Rozelle Buffalo Gal. Just loved this red bitch who was giving her handler a hard time! Lovely feminine head with dark eye, correct bite. Super reachy neck flowing into beautifully constructed front, long ribbing, short loin. Firm top-line, good underline.
Lovely turn of stifle with low well- let down hocks. Once she finally settled, she moved with drive, although at the moment is a tad close behind, should correct as she develops. Very promising one to watch for the future.
2. Mrs. B J Rose’s Rozamie Reflection of Rosencrantz JW. Pretty head with correct bite. Adequate front angulation with acceptable length of rib. Firm top-line. Hind construction would have like greater length of second thigh. Moved true fore & aft.
3.Marston Teal’s Lordscairnie Love In Paris
PGB 6 (3)
1. Kirkwood- Emery’s Helydon Xeptional Xaya JW. Feminine head with dark eye, correct dentition. Nice front alignment with sufficient ribbing, strong top-line. Good hind angulation however would have preferred slightly shorter hocks. Moved with verve
2. Crossman & Kennedy’s Moonshe Bee Lightful. Lovely bitch but not the front of 1. Good top-line, well-muscled with sufficient angulation. Moved soundly.
3.Davies’ Stargang Warrior Princess
LB 7
1. Kilroy’s Rozelle Rosalie at Janacop JW. Lovely compact red with good harsh coat. Classic feminine head with dark eye and correct bite. Nice reach of neck flowing into correct shoulder construction. Excellent ribbing, short loin, firm top-line. Lovely hammy thighs, correctly angulated rear with short well-let down hocks. Such a true sound balanced mover, considered her for the reserve ticket but just carrying a bit too much weight today which detracted from her outline.
2. Marton Teal’s Lordscairnie Peaceful Love. Small neat honest bitch. Very feminine head with sweet expression, dark eye, correct bite. Nicely constructed front with sufficient ribbing, firm top-line. Well angulated rear with short well-let down hocks. Moved true fore & aft.
3. Mrs B J Rose’s Merryline Martha With Rosencrantz JW
OB 10 (2) I have to admit I found this class very difficult to judge, they were so diverse.
1. Dance’s Ch Emem Joyful Sunshine JW. Smart compacted bitch full of “joie de vivre”. Strong expressive hound head with dark eye and correct bite. Adequate length of neck running into well angulated shoulders, tight elbows, well ribbed back. Firm top-line, powerful quarters. Nice turn of stifle with short well-let down hocks. Such a sound true balanced mover covering the ground effortlessly. BCC
2. Kirkwood-Emery’s Ch Helydon Tarton Talula JW. A quality bitch with wonderful harsh coat. Sweet feminine head with dark eye and correct dentition. Reachy neck flowing into correct shoulder alignment, tight elbows. Good ribbing, firm top-line, super well- angulated rear with lovely turn of stifle. Sound free mover. RCC
