Thank you to Bath Canine Society for their continued support & thank you exhibitors for your entry today. I found type to be varied in both the dogs & bitches, movement in some is a worry, & there was no excuse today for any exhibit not to show its paces with a well-manicured & sizeable ring. I feel that with some exhibits it’s just pure lack of proper exercise. There was one or two woolly coats in evidence however all exhibits were well presented.

MPD (0). PD (6) 1 Thorn Andrews’ Drakesleat If Looks Cud Kill, over the years this kennel has produced good ones. I think this one ranks up with the best, has everything I was looking for. Stunning in head which has the correct proportions, excellent in eye & expression. His front assembly is spot on with the best of forelegs. Reachy in neck with a firm topline. He is well ribbed with a correct underline. He has an excellent stifle with short parallel hocks. He is so true on the out & back & holds a good outline on the go around. His jacket is of correct texture & his outgoing temperament completes the picture. On his way to wearing his crown that’s for sure. Pleased to award him his second CC & with BOB, delighted to watch him take G4 & PG1, eventually sealing off with RBPIS. Congratulations, enough said! 2 Kent’s Barratini Teddyboy at Lokmadi, another exhibit that has plenty to admire. Scores with his correctly proportioned head, keen in eye with a good expression. Good neck which flows into a clean shoulder. He is well ribbed with a good level topline, excellent in quarters with stifles well bent & strong parallel hocks. His movement is sound on the out & back & he holds himself well on the go around. With normal luck should do well! 3 Miller’s Palsuz Basil. JD (2) 1 Neate’s Beaucat Eddie Tor, a fair exhibit all through. Good balance in head with a correct eye & expression. General outline is correct. He would however benefit for more length in rib, topline however is good. Moved out soundly once settled. Presented in good order; 2 Galen-Bisping’s Jiljac Yule Brunner at Celtic Berns, up to size individual, general outline is correct. Presented in harsh jacket, did however push to scales to the maximum! ND (0). PGD (2) 1 Dances’ Waldmeister Rona To You Emen, liked this exhibit’s head qualities which are of correct proportions. He is keen in eye which gives off a good expression. He has good length in neck, good bone & neat compact feet. His jacket is of excellent texture all through. At times he was a little proud of his tail. He showed positive attitude on the move; 2 Neate’s Beaucat Exfactor, correct in head qualities which has good proportions, eye & expression correct. General outline OK, not so positive in rear going away & decided to leave his jacket at home today! LD (3) 1 Roses’ Ridanflight Ricardo, excellent for over all breed type. Correct in head with good length & strength in jaw, excellent eye & expression, good in neck which flows into a clean well laid shoulder. Forelegs are straight & his elbows are well under him. Topline is solid with a good underline. He has sufficient angles in his stifles & hocks are OK. If I was to nitpick I personally would have preferred a slightly lower tailset, having said that his movement is a joy to watch. He covers the ground with effortless ease. Presentation was A1; probably by the time you read this critique he will be wearing his crown. Today however had to settle for the RCC! 2 Hayward’s Foxearth Fiddler On The Roof, another quality exhibit to go over, excels in head eye & expression. Good in forechest with parallel forelegs, plenty of rib with a correct topline. Bone & feet correct, jacket was presented in excellent order. Moved out well both ways, unlucky today to run into the winner in such good form; 3 Hayward’s Taree Scoville at Wirefusion. OD (5) 1 Thorn Andrews’ Ch Drakesleat Win Tin Tin, & I guess he will continue to do so & why not! Another very typy exhibit from this stable that at the moment has so much to choose from. His head is of true quality with a super eye & expression with a well developed front. Excellent forelegs, spot on in shoulder, correct in body outline with excellent ribs. Firm in loin with a superb well angulated rear. Moving he is so correct, just felt today he could have been a little more enthusiastic. Presentation was as usual excellent. No disgrace here today! 2 Howell’s Fallowmill Sergio, yet another exhibit that has plenty to admire. Good to go over on the table. Masculine head with a good eye & expression, correct in neck & fore chest, correct in ribs & topline. His bone & feet are of quality, his jacket is of superb texture & was well presented. He showed good reach up front & was adequate behind. I know he is knocking on the door & with normal luck should wear his crown! 3 Boyns‘ Brindeckel Diamond Geezer.

MPB (3) 1 Baker’s Leversha Loveable Brogue, raw baby but does show promise. Quality in head with a good eye & expression. Shapely in overall outline with a well angulated rear. Showed positive movement on the out & back, should with normal luck do well; 2 Tyler’s Pellismar Alf Dee Scent with Aspera, another promising baby with plenty to admire. Feminine well proportioned head, general outline good, just needs to gain more confidence. PB (3) 1 Tyler’s Pellimer Dee Licious with Aspera, quality exhibit all through, sweet head & expression, good length in neck, parallel forelegs. She is well ribbed with a good underline. Her over all body outline is correct, coat texture is good. Moved soundly on the out & back holding a true outline on the go around. Presented in excellent jacket; with just a little more confidence should have a bright future; 2 Dance’s Bimini Time To Travel to Enem, correct in head, eye & expression. Excellent neck & forequarters with good ribbing, good bone & feet. I would personally have preferred a little more body length to complete the picture, however she is sound on the move & was presented in good jacket; 3 Baker’s Plsuz Meadow Sweet for Leversha. JB (3) 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat Fingers Xrossed, excels throughout for overall breed type. Excellent overall head qualities with a super eye & expression. Good length in neck with correct front assembly. She is well filled in her forechest with parallel forelegs with excellent bone & feet. Loved her overall outline which has good length finishing off with a well angulated rear with short strong parallel hocks. Coat was presented in good order. Moved with precision both ways. RCC, today only to her stable mate, should wear her crown! 2 Hooper’s Starhill Fair Maid O Astolat, another with plenty to admire. Has good breed points throughout. Head is feminine & well balanced, good eye & expression. Correct in overall body outline with good bone & feet, jacket is of correct texture. On the move a little more rear drive would enhance her changes but kept a good outline on the go around; 3 Gilkes’ Malrich Oreo at Birichino. NB (1) 1 Goulding’s Jiljac Patsy Clime, surprised to find this exhibit in such a low class! Liked her for breed type, scores with her feminine well proportioned head with a good eye & expression. Excellent in neck & forequarters. Straight forelegs with tight elbows. She has plenty in rib with a good underline. Her quarters are well angulated with short strong parallel hocks. Her jacket is or correct texture & was well presented. Moved out soundly on the out & back holding a true outline on the go around. Good luck for the future! PGB (4) 1 Beckett’s Beckshound Under My Spell, good overall breed type. Quality in head with a keen eye & expression. Good length in neck with a well constructed front assembly. Parallel forelegs with neat feet. Excels in rib which are carried well back. Good in general outline, so sound on the out & back holding a true outline on the go around. Presented in excellent jacket; 2 Oram’s Fallowmill On The Spot at Rosswell, another typy exhibit with plenty to admire. Scored with her feminine well proportioned head with a good eye which gives off a true expression. Lengthy in neck, clean in shoulder, plenty of rib with a firm topline. Moved out well on the out & back & was presented in excellent jacket; 3d Lancaster’s Pellimar Stix N Stones. LB (9) Good class, places will change! 1 Howell’s Fallowmill On The Button, good overall quality, scores with her super head qualities which are feminine & well balanced. Excellent eye & expression, best of fronts with straight forelegs. She has quality in bone with neat compact feet. She is well ribbed with a good topline & underline. Particularly liked her well angulated rear with strong hocks. Moved out soundly & was presented in excellent jacket. Yet another that is knocking on the door. Her day will come! 2 Billinghurst’s Drakesleat Scent Suell for Jiljac, close up to the winner for type. Quality in head, eye & expression. Excellent neck & forequarters, correct bone with neat compact feet. General outline is good with excellent ribbing, solid in topline with enough bend in stifle. Took a while to get into her stride but once settled moved well. Presentation excellent, it really was a splitting hairs decision! 3 Lancaster’s Pellismer Deals A Winner. OB (2) 1 Ch Drakesleat Scent Sybil, yet another all quality exhibit from this clever breeder. So easy to see why she wears here crown. Super in head which is feminine with excellent balance, lovely eye & expression. Excels in neck & front assembly, well developed forechest with parallel forelegs which are tucked well under, superb in outline. On the stack level in topline which leads to a well angulated rear, finishing off with excellent short parallel hocks. Moved out soundly on the out & back holding a true outline on the go around. As usual presentation 100%. Pleased to award her the CC only beaten for BOB by her younger stable star who was on the money today! 2 Grant’s Hanishan Winning Waves at Gran Howard, exhibit that has plenty to admire. Correct in head, eye & expression. Lovely outline on the stack, excellent ribbing, good bone & feet. Presentation was excellent, however could not match the winner for rear movement.
