I much enjoyed my day with the Min Wires.  It has been 5 years since I last judged, so I was looking to seeing how the breed is developing.  Mouths were somewhat of a surprise with missing teeth and slightly narrow jaws.  Long narrow heads are not typical and seemed to go with narrow bodies.  The head should be conical and have a bit of width between the ears.  Fronts I thought had improved and not nearly so many over-crooked.  Still a lot of short upper arms though.  Ribbing generally poor and very cut up underneath.  Toplines pretty good on the whole, and rears not much different to when I last judged.  Temperaments, all excellent, apart from a few youngsters who were just lacking experience.

Nowhere near as many too low to ground exhibits, as we use to have, with no legs and too much front.  On the whole a typy entry, with the two line ups and some others being especially pleasing.

Veteran Dog (2)
1st: ORAM Janjac Moschino at Rosswell, in grand body and coat for age, perfect teeth.  Liked her length of head and strong muzzle, legs and feet of the best, nice front and powerful rear.
Good Citizen Dog Scheme Dog or Bitch (2)
1st: BAXTER Hotwire Didja Ever, A nice mover but a touch flat in croup and high set tail.  Coat could be better presented.  Good head and eyes, ok in neck.  Front a little 'bulky'.
2nd: BAXTER Hotwire Magic Midge, Sweet girl, not fully confident as yet.  Good coat, she is a little short in neck and runs up in topline.  Fair mover, but could have more impulsion from rear.

Minor Puppy Dog (3)
1st: TYLER Pellismer Gives the Nod to Aspera NAF, Nice for type and quality, lovely nature.  One canine yet to position correctly, but at 6 months it has time to sort itself.  Moved OK, excellent coat, needs a bit more body as yet.
2nd: HOOPER Starhill Sir Lancelot, Needs more practice standing, he moves nicely and is quite precise.  Not giving his handler an easy time on the stack or table.  Promising boy of good size.
3rd: HUNT Earthsea Pocket Rocket
Puppy Dog (5)
1st: BILLINGHURST Jiljac Tsar Very Much, Lovely pup of 10 months.  Perfect head and strength of muzzle with broad jaws.  Good neck and front, well ribbed back, excellent rear, tail set a mite high, but he is a cheerful dog and carries it well.  Good ground clearance and super coat and muscular condition. Close up for top awards. BP
2nd:TYLER Pellismer Gives the Nod to Aspera NAF
Junior Dog (2)
1st: FULTON Bothlyn Brigadoon, Res CC, Super front with lovely bone and tight thick feet.  Pleasing head, enough neck.  Topline can still strengthen up a touch more.  Well angulated rear and he drives nicely from rear.  Dead true in front.  Well presented hard coat.
2nd: KELLY Kmai Chq Me Out, Better in topline, but not the front or feet of winner.  Good coat for a Black & Tan.  Super head, good neck and body, powerful true rear.  A nice youngster.
Yearling Dog (3)
1st: HARDY Kushwin Incognito, Head too narrow in back skull, and he needs more confidence and muscle.  Overall shape and proportions of height to length are good.  Excellent coat, reasonable mover up & down and although he cuts corners, has a good length of stride in profile.
2nd: WARREN Grackles Starry Eyed, preferred his head and outlook, but oversized and pinning in going away.  Well bodied, good coat, OK in front, tail set & carried too high.
Post Graduate Dog (5)
1st: FULTON Bothlyn Brigadoon
2nd: ADAMS Angelholm's Figaro, Lovely head, OK in front, well boned and bodied.  Coat very well put down.  Is a touch high in hocks, otherwise excellent for type and quality.  Moved out well
3rd: HARDY Kushwin Incognito
Limit Dog (5)
1st: PHILLIPS Curtisey Boogy Woogy JW, Would prefer a better eye, otherwise head ok. Needs more length of upper arm and a little more height to withers.  Lovely body, OK in quarters, Superb coat and nicely presented.  Moved truly.
2nd: ADAMS Angelholm's Figaro
3rd: BAXTER Kapodach Love Me Tender at Hotwire
Open Dog (5)
1st: PUNTER Welcumen Jeremy, Dog CC, Would prefer more leg hair which would improve the look of his front.  He is built nicely front and rear, and has a lovely body and correct topline, Well set tail and true movement.  Pleasing head, but he could show a little more enthusiasium.  A worthy champion.
2nd: BLACK Bassodon Bilbie, In better coat on legs, super head and eye, OK in body and rear angles, but moving wide in rear going away.  Holds himself nicely in profile and has a lot of quality, well handled.
3rd: MILLER Bothlyn Time Master at Sharplaw
Minor Puppy Bitch (8)
1st: KELLY Rioban Felt Finnish for Kmai, Nice baby, mouth still needs to broaden a touch in bottom jaw, otherwise a good bite.  Neat front, OK in topline for age, sound precise mover in both directions. Well presented coat.
2nd: SHONE Bratenklein I Love the Little Thing, Super coat and feet of the best.  Good forechest, topline a little too roached at the moment, and it needs to settle.  Ribbing a little on the short side.  Ok for height to length proportions, and she moves true.
3rd: HOOPER Starhill Queen Guenevere
Puppy Bitch (8)
1st: KELLY Rioban Felt Finnish for Kmai
2nd: KENNEDY & CROSSMAN Moonshe Maharani, Tallish and unfinished as yet but promising, and has time on her side to mature and deepen.  Dead true moving and well handled and presented.  Very neat, just not ready yet.  Will look smashing in a year or so I reckon.
3rd: ORAM Fallowmill on the Spot at Roswell
Junior Bitch (7)
1st: SHONE Hanishan Eau Classique, Smart pin wire, has enough furnishings, good typy head, high set ears, which are not too big.  Good neck and even, neat front.  Perfect ground clearance.  Slight dip in topline as yet.  Super sound rear, and dead true moving.  In lovely muscular condition and gleaming coat.
2nd: KELLY Rioban Felt Finnish for Kmai
3rd: REES & JONES Hanishan Eau Symfonique at Kierpark
Yearling Bitch (5)
1st: BARNEY Verrami Domestic Goddess CC & BOB, Superb bitch! I liked her head and expression, super front, good legs and feet.  Perfect topline, well angulated rear.  Holds a super outline and is well muscled and conditioned,  A quality bitch in good form and coat.
2nd: ADAMS Angleholm Aida, another very nice bitch, just not keeping her topline moving, but very sound both ways.  Standing shows a lovely outline.  Correct head and length of muzzle, well bodied and handled.  Coat could do with a little more finish and work.
3rd: DAYKIN Ashridge Dun Danzin at Barratini
Post Graduate Bitch (12)
1st: MARSTON TEAL Lordscarinie Love Life, Res CC, Nice bitch all through, good to go over and sound both ways.  Has a super stride in profile. In good coat, hard leg hair, pleasing head and muzzle, well ribbed back and strong loin.
2nd: POXON Kapodach Cup Cake, A lovely type, just not the ribbing under chest carried back far enough.  Lovely head, good neck, super hard coat, well made quarters, a mite more angle to upper arm would improve. Sound and free mover.
3rd: HUNT Earthsea Chocolate Tear
Limit Bitch (5)
1st: PRICE Samlane Zaffiro, Nice to go over for front and rear angles.  Excellent body and ribbing.  A bit out of coat on her back, and topline could be a little more level.  Excellent legs and feet and well carried tail.  Super mover, and real drive from rear.
2nd: MEREDITH Deepdax Credit Crunch, Not the ribbing of the winner and a mite too low to ground.  Also impressed in front and front movement.  Good bone and feet, super coat and in lovely condition.
3rd: JONES Bimini Starlight Express
Open Bitch (8)
1st: BLACK Bassodon Burlesque, Good in all respects for type and quality, handler will persist in standing her overwide in front, but she doesn't move that way!  Excellent body, topline and quarters, and in good hard jacket.  Liked her head and expressive eyes.  A little under muscled, on the day.
2nd:DUNN Barratini Bumble at Ashridge, not as refined in head as winner, but definitely sturdy and well made.  Keeps her topline standing and moving, was going a touch close going away.  Excellent front and side movement.  Also in super coat and body
3rd: WHITEHOUSE Rioban Fine Finnish
