MINIATURE WIRE HAIRED

Thank you to everyone for my entry, I enjoyed judging your dogs and I was very pleased with my winners.  I did however find some dogs with dirty teeth, which should not be, coats on the whole were good, but hind movement in many cases was poor, how much exercise do these dogs get and do their owners walk behind them to watch how they are moving.  Shoulders on the whole were good as was the amount of bone, and nails were short. Just the odd one with a poor topline.  I found ribbing was good and in most cases the dogs had a good length of keel.  We had a big ring and everyone made good use of it, when asked to move. The top classes were the best for quality exhibits. A big thank you to my two very efficient stewards.

MPD (4) 1 Blackburn’s Stargang De Fo. Brindle dog with a masculine head, dark eye, well set on ears, good reach of neck, level topline, good ribbing and nicely angulated quarters.  He moved out well, using his good rear to drive with.  Rather a full coat at the moment, but did not detract from the overall picture.  I really liked this youngster. Res CC &BPIB. 2 Kurgow&Holt’s Waldmeister Samuel. Another nice brindle, who was close up to the winner, he had the better coat presentation, but I did not feel his elbows were quite as tight, but it was a close decision  3 Punter’s Welcumen Jeremy. Very good head with a masculine expression and an almond shaped dark eye. Excellent coat but was rather timid to go over, but once he relaxes and enjoys being in the ring, he will show off his good points to more advantage.

PD  (1) 1 Howell’s Fallowmill Back & Fetch Brindle, another with a good masculine head and expression, he has a good reach of neck, with well angulated quarters.  Level topline and ribbing carried well back.  Lots to like with this young man

JD (3,1) 1 Adam’s Angelholm’s Figaro.  There was little to choose between these two exhibits, they were very much at the in between stage.  This youngsters coat was not fully through but there was enough to know it would be harsh. Rather leggy at the moment and movement needs to strengthen. 2 Douglas & Bank’s Kmai Razzle Dazzle Of Torabbi Narrower than above and rather upright in shoulder.  Road work could possibly strengthen his movement.

ND (3) 1 Dance’s Deepdax Overdraft Too Far For Emem.  An easy winner of this class.  Good head with a dark eye, good reach of neck running into well placed shoulders.  Excellent ribbing carried well back.  Prominent forechest.  Moved out well keeping a level topline.  Lots to like about this youngster, who has an outgoing personality. 2 Adam’s Angelholme’s Figaro 3 Douglas & Bank’s Kmai Razzle Dazzle Of Torabbi

PGD (2) 1 Presnail’s Taree Nelson.  Brindle, better coat of the two, although it was still coming through.  He has a masculine head with a dark eye, good reach of neck, well placed shoulders, prominent forechest, but his topline is letting him down.  Front and rear movement good. 2 Puckett’s Molloney Willy Wayme.  A lighter brindle, he has the better topline of the two, otherwise quite similar, except this young man’s rear movement is weak he lacks muscle and drive.

LD (3) 1 Black’s Basssodon Bilbie. Excellent coated brindle, well presented, masculine head and expression, good reach of neck, well placed shoulders with ribbing carried well back, prominent forechest.  He moved out really well driving from good quarters Just lost out by a whisker for the reserve. 2. Price’s Samlane Tetley  very little separated 2 & 3 this young man was higher on the leg than 3 but had the better coat and front.  He was well presented and shown. Miller’s Palsuz Little Red Devil.  Not the front construction of two and his coat was not so good but he moved out quite well keeping a level topline.

OD (4,1) 1 Horswell & Iwama’s Ch/Jap Ch Drakesleat JP Trier Winshoten,  Masculine head, well angulated front and rear, dark eye, good reach of neck, ribbing carried well back. Prominent forechest. Excellent condition, harsh coat, well  presented.  He moved out with reach and drive  C.C. B.O.B.  I was delighted to see him gain group three. Well deserved. Congratulations 2 Blackburn-Bennett’s Wyndsmoor Mister Chips Of Stargang.  Close up to winner in many respects, but on the day his rear movement did not quite match up, but there was lots to like about this youngman 3 Hopgood’s Dunnspitts Artful Dodger. Brindle a very neat exhibit with a good head and masculine expression, but was not so good on the move as those above.

PB (3,1) 1 Millar’s Palsuz Dream Of Casandra A good coated dark brindle with a feminine head and expression, dark almond shaped eye. Level topline ribbing of adequate length.  Well placed shoulders, lovely happy temperament.  Moved out well. 2 Cook’s Tythe Saffron At Patlyns.  Close up to one but not so good in rear movement, but very feminine with a lovely temperament.

JB(5,1) 1 Marston-Teal’s Lordscairnie Xclusive Love Light brindle, with a very feminine head, dark eye, was well ribbed back with a level topline.  Good length of ribbing, she moved out well in front and had some drive at the rear.  Promising. 2 PresnailTaree Odessa.  An equally as well constructed young lady with a lovely head and expression.  She was well muscled, with good length of ribbing.  Her construction was such that she should have moved out well, but she was not at one with her handler and her rear movement became all over the place.  A great pity as when they were together, she presented a lovely picture. 3 Lancaster/Miller’s Pellismer ‘sno Bigdeal.  Brindle, who was a very happy girl, but her rear construction was not as good as those above.

NB (2) 1 Chugg’s Templestowe Ophelia. Lightish brindle  with a good harsh coat, good head and shoulders with ribbing carried well back, her rear movement was the sounder of the two. Perhaps lacks a little in confidence. 2. Lancaster/Millar’s Pellismer ‘sno Bigdeal.

PGB (5, 1)    Sadly a very nice chocolate was W/D as she was stung on the foot entering the ring. 1 Blackburn’s Stargang Mayhem.  I really liked this bitch, but she was not co-operating with her handler, which was such a pity. Well named perhaps.  She is very sound with a lovely head and expression.  Good reach of neck leading into well place shoulders, prominent forechest, well ribbed back, level topline.  Very well construction rear.  I am sure co-operating she could go to the top. 2 Westerman’s Nadavin Integraty Black brindle with a well constructed front but not so good behind. 3 Chugg’s Templestone Ophelia

LB(8) 1 Robert’s Drakesleat Win’ertakeall To Swansford. A quality bitch, with a lovely head and expression, prominent forechest with ribbing carried well back.  Very well muscled up which showed in her sound movement.  R.C.C. 2 Barney’s Verrami Ava Nuvver Romount  Another very nice bitch with many of the same qualities and lots to like about her, but the winner to my mind had that little bit more forechest.  3 Kugow & Holt’s Waldmeister Steffi.  Close up to the other two, she is a very sound well muscled youngster, who I am sure could hunt all day, feminine head, reach of neck, good body, lots to like.  Little separated these three.

OB (6) 1 Lancaster & Millar’s Drakesleat Stone Me With Pellismer.  I was very taken with this young bitch, she never stopped showing.  She is not flashy, but a good honest bitch.  Neat brindle, lovely head with a feminine expression, well set on ears, reach of neck, prominent forechest, well ribbed level topline good rear which showed in her sound movement.  I understand this was her first C.C. Would hope the others would come as she is well worthy of her title.  When it came to B.O.B. Just felt the dog had the greater prescence. 2 Horswell’s Drakesleat Knot On Yer Nelly.  Close up to one but does not have quite the body length.  Lovely head and expression, who moved out smoothly and with reach and drive. 3 Baldwin’s Beckel Pent House Baby another nice bitch, also well constructed and close up to one and two, but on the day could not quite match up to their rear movement.
