Firstly I would like to thank the exhibitors for braving the elegants and giving me a very nice entry. My main winners were full of quality and some very promising youngsters should look forward to an exciting future in the showring.

MPD. (1). 1. Mueller’s, Rabymere Francas a Lot. 6 months harsh coated red with lovely pigment. Nice size. Moved soundly with good drive. A raw baby but full of potential.

PD. (4). 1. Wood’s, Wildstar Wedgewood. Mature with a lovely male head and dark expressive eyes. Lovely length of ribbing with well laid back shoulders. Correct angulation fore and aft. Kept outline while moving soundly and with drive. Tight feet. 2. Blackburn’s, Stargang Xcaliber. Again a masculine puppy with lovely shape. Preferred keel and ribbing of first. Both coats “on the blow” but texture ok. Lovely head and expression. Correct angulation behind but still a little loose in front movement. 3. Feike’s, Lustrum Merry Madrigal.

JD. (5). 1. Hallett’s, Loretto March in Time. Beautifully presented and in good coat. Long, low and level. Preferred his length and more positive movement coming than second. Lovely male head. Very sound and kept a nice outline. Tight elbows and good feet. Showed very well. BP and CC and BOB. 2. W.Wedgewood. 3. Russell’s, Kevocklea Twelfth Knight.

PGD. (1). 1. Hadden’s, Wellbury John Deere. Good sized dog with harsh coat. Nice masculine head. Good topline although a little forward in shoulder placement. A little loose in elbow and hind movement not so positive on the day. Nicely handled.

LD. (4). 1. Hallett’s, Loretto Not Toknight. Similar in type and shape to JD. Again the three Ls. Shoulders not quite so good and a little less prominent in forechest therefore he moved a little close coming. Nevertheless a quality dog. 2. Dunn’s, Cairos Tight Lastic. Harsh coated dog with nice front assembly. Flying his tail which ran his topline up and made his hind movement a bit erratic. A good size and a nice type. 3. Hassall’s, Sanmiks What Ya Know Jo.

OD. (6). 1. Horswell’s, Drakesleat Surely You Jest. As usual not co-operating with his handler but he is so nice to go over on the table. Lovely head and expression. Correct shoulders and reach of neck. Great hindquarters which he uses well on the floor. Good reach in front and very sound. Lovely ribbing carried well back. RCC. 2. Fulton’s, Ch. Rosara Black Knight at Bothlyn. Nice dog with good outline. Moved soundly on well angulated quarters. Would like more spring and depth of ribbing. Both dogs out of coat with first with too much and second with not enough. 3. Hadden’s, Loretto Whataknight at Wellbury.

MPB. (4). 1. Wilberg’s, Kanix Audrey Absolutely Gorgeous. The three L’s. Fabulous shoulders on one so young. Well angulated fore and aft. Beautiful topline and underline with good length of keel. To nitpick, her eye could be more oval and better set. Very sound. Will follow her career with interest. RCC. 2. Kugow and Holt’s, Waldmeister Meadow. Totally different and smaller type, but another beautiful baby with many similar attributes. Super bone. Lovely head and expression. Correct coat. Lovely angulation. Well padded feet the look like they could dig all day. Good topline and underline. Well let down hocks. 3. Gorman’s, Shelsall Rose.

PB. (7). 1. Presnail’s, Taree Xanthippe. Loved this girl too. Super shape covered with a harsh double jacket. Again the three L’s. Feminine and pretty head with lovely pigmentation. Gorgeous shoulders. Lovely bone and feet. Moved well but played up in the challenge. Pressed hard. 2. Hallett and McLeod’s, Loretto Black Manna Loushe. Nice shape with good top and underlines. Carrying a bit too much weight and she wasn’t as positive on the move. Well handled. 3. Barker’s, Jentiki Cocoa.

JB. (5). 1. Rathbone’s, Brialind Evita. Nice sort with good head and harsh coat. Nice top and underlines. Hind movement was not great in this class. 2. Presnail’s, Taree Winninah. Similar in type to first but not so elegant and not the layback of shoulder. Nice head and expression. Correct coat. Good topline. 3. Noble’s, Lomondloch Breezed into Eldindean.

PGB. (3). 1. Baker’s, Jentiki Ima Sorta Squirrel. Nice type with good top and underlines. Movement in profile pleasing but a little close going away. 2. Mcleod’s, Segundra Feira at Janjac. Carrying too much weight her movement wide fore and aft. Nicer head and expression than first.

LB. (6). 1. Blackburn’s, Stargang Mystical Finnish. Strong bitch with harsh coat. Moved with good drive. Good bone. Well angulated. Showed herself well, holding her lovely outline. Good turn of stifle. 2. Hanny’s, Hilmar Abracadabra of Bronia. Not in great coat and doesn’t have the forechest of first, but a very nice bitch on the move. Good shape and well off for bone. Nice size. Good topline and underline. 3. East’s, Komombo Storm Force.

OB. (10). 1. Hutching and Cocozza’s, Molloney Kiss me Quick. Feminine and pretty bitch with typical Dachshund head. Beautiful outline and moves so well with great drive and purpose. Have admired her since she was a puppy and was delighted to give her her third CC. 2. Hallett’s, Loretto Make Hey. Different type but of great quality too. Slightly better shoulders than first but was a tad less positive behind and didn’t move as true going away. Very pretty and beautifully presented. 3. Horswell’s, Drakesleat See Voo Play.
