My first appointment awarding to Mini Longs and I was so honoured by the invitation and my thanks to the Committee. Thank you to the exhibitors for such a good entry.  I found some of the classes rather challenging but I really enjoyed working through the entry. I found a few to be slightly over the desired weight but all exhibits were carrying condition. Coats varied slightly according to age. I was surprised by some round full eyes which rather spoiled their expression. My main winners stood out for me.  DCC and BOB was Woods Ch Wildstar Wrobinson JW with RDCC to  Woods  Wildstar Washington. BCC was Darsoms Zynala and RBCC was Mason's Crownlake Queen Bee JW.  BP went to  Phillips's Summerview Hello Hugo.  Best Veteran was Broade's Ch Neertanauf Sea Magic JW ShCM.  I was delighted BOB and BP met the approval of a respected breed specialist who later awarded them Best in Show and Best Puppy in Show. My BOB also won RBIS at the Houndshow which was running alongside the Club show. I am looking forward to following some of my winners to see their progress.  I must mention my steward who was really efficient and kept my ring going steadily. His cheerful and helpful attitude certainly made my day a lot more special.

VD   (1) 1 Broad's Ch Neertanauf Sea Magic JW ShCM.  This dog is almost 13 years old and can still hold his own in the ring. Beautifully balanced with very little sign of ageing. Well coated and gleaming with condition. Masculine head of good shape. Still neat enough in front Good padded feet and plenty body under that coat. Nice ribbing and a level topline at all times. Easy to see why he carries his title. BVD BVIB.  MPD (2) Phillips' Summerview Hello Hugo. Very appealing for shape and outline. Conical head with correct eye shape and colour and good expression. Ears well set. Neck flows into good shoulder. Good keel supporting a neat front Elbows comfortably set at side. Stands on well padded feet. Ribs are good length. Nicely angled and firm quarters used well on the move. Lots of promise and look forward to following his career. BPIB BPIS.  2. Thomas' Rockyhill Supersonic Man. Good outline  masculine head, dark eye correct earset, Neat front, nicely boned throughout  another with good feet. Topline is level and kept on the move. Firm quarters and moved nicely.  PD  (1)  Cox's Dollyharp Fidelio. Another very handsome youngster. Liked his head and correctly shaped dark eye. Well laid shoulder, Front is neat with  developing keel, Ribbing goes well back. Hind quarters have plenty angulation and low hocks used well on the move. Topline was good, nice bone throughout and plenty coat. JD  (4) 1 Wood's Wildstar Washington My notes say what a super dog. Stylish with such balance just catches the eye. Excellent conical head, dark well shaped eye, good ear set. Neck sits into well set shoulder.  Elbows tuck nicely in and keel is supported by correctly shaped front and nicely boned legs. Firm body of good length going back to rounded muscled quarters,  plenty coat and so elegant and stylish on the move. Nearly awarded the CC but gave way to maturity today however that crown will be his soon. RCC 2 McSorley's Barlaine Midnight Charmer. Full of personality and made life difficult for his handler and just made this second place. Once settled showed off his virtues. Handsome head, dark eye, neat front and nicely boned legs and feet. Good body and settled to move quite well. 3 Hall, Hall & Borsuk's Cliffmere Rustler.  ND  (1) 1 Broad's Bronia Wolfgang Pluck Well coated lad. He was a bit tense today. His head is good, dark eye, tidy front, well boned overall, He settled a bit to move ok.  PGD  (5) 1 Poole's Findowrie the Fusilier. Nice head held proudly on good strong neck. Tidy front Balanced angulation front and rear,  attractive outline  and well muscled. Everything fits well together here with no exaggeration. Just a bit more maturity and this one could do well.  2  Lockett-Walters' Ralines Mcintosh Nicely headed with good eye, touch more bone than first. Tidy front, smooth ribs, balanced outline. Moved well once settled. 3 James'  Jamesfair Wispasoftly.  LD (5,1) Found this to be a difficult class and I could easily change places on a different day. 1 Grose's Belvydachs Proper Job. Masculine head and expression. Shoulder well laid back and enough keel. Neat front. Nicely boned and with a good coat. Firm quarters and ok on the move. 2 Pooles Findowrie Mr Mckye. Again another masculine example. Not so settled however. Mr Fidget today! When stood had a balanced profile. Head neck and shoulders flowed into level topline. Sturdy body. Nice bone but unsettled on the move out and back. 3 Latham-Jackson's Hanishan Neapolitan Urishay.  OD  (7) This was a lovely class. 1 Wood's Ch Wildstar Wrobinson JW. Everything will have been said before but for me this is the epitome of the breed. Balance  and construction, were spot on. That absolutely super head with correctly placed dark almond eyes. Beautifully set ears. Long clean neck flowed into a really well set shoulder. Upper arms and forearm cradled the keel which was prominent and gave plenty heart room. Good ground clearance and super topline. Nicely shaped and muscled hindquarters which together with low hocks gave him an easy ground  covering parallel movement out and back on good feet. A joy to watch and judge. CC, BOB BIS. 2 Weston & Johnson's Ecotyne Devils Advocate and another with that super balanced profile. Pleasing head and eye, Clean neck and shoulder, Tidy in front and with good clearance. Ribs were lengthy, nicely boned overall and firm quarters. Lot to like about this boy. Moved well.  3 Hall's Cliffmere Woodman.  VB  (3,1) Two rather lovely older ladies and a close decision. 1  Metcalfe's Metadale Ariadne Pretty head Nice length of neck flowing into shoulders.  Well put together with neat front, good bone nice length of ribs. Moved easily, BVB.  2  Mee's Barlaines Red Splendour  Once again pleasing head and dark eye, Chest well supported and neat feet. Good length of body, nicely ribbed and and held her topline. On the move was slightly tense today.  MPB  (2) Two very immature girls and both rather unsettled at first. 1  Aneke's Dachadam Miss Guinness Sweet girl with pretty head and calm expression. Nice length of neck, neatly constructed front supporting a developing keel. Elbows tucked in. Balanced and with good ribbing and bone. Movement settled by the time of the challenge. Handler could make more of her  with practice. BPB. 2 Laytham-Jackson's Urishay Araminta This girl seemed to be going through a growing stage and did not have the balance of the first as yet. She too was unsettled and rather scattered on the move but this could improve as she matures. Pretty head. Good length of neck. Coat coming along well and she has lovely bone.  PB  (2, 1) 1 Dalton's Zilcan Creme Caramel. Shapely and feminine with pleasing head and eye. Nice outline showing ground clearance. Well ribbed back, Firm quarters Just moved a touch wide today which unsettled her topline on the move. Should settle as she matures.  JB (6,1) 1 McSorley's Barlaine Golden Honey Stylish and shapely. Pretty head with dark eye. Enough length of neck. Good shoulders, tidy front good feet. Her outline standing shows clearance and her ribcage supports a good topline. Her hindquarters were strong and low hocks took her round the ring with ease. 2  Another pretty girl with similar virtues. Shutt’s Donnadoon Oh My Diana nicely balanced and feminine. Outline showed plenty ground clearance, good head & dark eye; nice length of neck runs into shoulder with layback. Ribbing goes well back. Was a bit lacking in coat but has a bit has a bit of maturing to do and was not concentrating on the job in hand 3  Way's Arbennik True Dream. NB  (4. 1w/d) A challenging class for me. 1  Findlay's Hanburydax Phantom Lady So feminine in head, dark eye, nicely boned, tidy all through with good length and plenty coat.  Moved ok.  2  Ham's Ciselsig Cherry Valentine Another pretty girl but slightly shorter. Pretty head and eye, Nicely boned and enough clearance. On the move her topline ran up slightly. 3  Holtom's Ralines Lemosas for Rivandell.  PGB  (8)  1 Siggee's Ensigynes Glaciarium Pretty headed with dark eye  Neck, Shoulders and front all fitted nicely together. Well developed sternum . Enough ground clearance and plenty coat. She looked balanced and moved well. Nice feet and bone. 2  Poole's Findowrie Jessica Rose  Another pretty little thing.  Feminine in outlook, calm expression, Neck and shoulders construction was fine. Good bone, nice feet and moved well but not so tidy in front today as winner. 3 Thomas' Abydachs About Time.  LB  (11,2) I enjoyed this class. 1 Phillips' Summerview Minnie Mouse Very pretty with a feminine head nicely shaped eye,  good ear set. Neck set into neat shoulders and front supporting well developed keel. Ribbing goes well back and topline is level. Firm quarters with good angulation and low hocks. Ample  bone plenty coat,  good feet and moved well. 2 Poole's Findowrie Miss McFee Lots of similar qualities to the winner but slightly less animated on the move today. Also feminine, pretty head, tidy front, good ribs, tight feet. 3.  Westaway's Abbilis Jive Talking at Treranch.  OB  (7) Dare’s Darsoms Zynala. Really enjoyed going over this girl. So well put together and balanced and feminine. Looked at me confidently.  Never stood wrong, correctly shaped head. Loved her construction and such a good front and forechest. Everything just flowed under my hand. Good length overall, ground clearance, well boned, plenty coat, parallel movement out and back on good feet. Really took my eye. CC.  2  Mason’s Crownlake’s Queen Bee JW another well constructed girl with overall balance, nice head, neck and shoulder, well muscled hind quarters, sound on the move and well handled  RCC  CB Mason's Ch Tolberg Beez Kneez at Teckeltown. Worthy Champion and one I also considered for the RCC. Good construction Pretty head, tidy front, good length of body and level topline. Ground clearance was excellent. Good drive from behind .
