Many thanks to exhibitors for a very good “Thursday” entry of 89 dogs making 103 entries in total.

With 18 absentees out of the 71 dogs judged 11 were a few onces over the desired maximum of 5kg but in my opinion still in good conditioning for their overall body type and frames. No hounds appeared thin or undernourished so this was not a concern today. Rear movement was a general concern throughout due to the lack of correct drive. The old problem of forward placed shoulders with short upper arms is still apparent. I also found a number of untypical heads with round eyes and short foreface giving a more toy type look.

I found it difficult to judge to type and my thoughts after initially looking at the class line ups changing constantly once dogs had been handled and moved.

I found presentation to be generally good throughout and found temperaments were in the vast majority good.

Quality boy with a balanced and clean outline, good height to length ratio, he has a lovely head, sound front assembly, well ribbed, good quality bone and feet, moved true and covered well in profile.

2^nd – McCarthy, Nagshall Just Lucamac

Elegant puppy with a lovely head and expression, good angles front and rear, moved well fore and aft, sympathetically handled to get the most from him

Classy and elegant red boy who was presented in great coat and body conditioning but I wanted more than that which he delivered, correct head piece with almond eye, long neck into well angled shoulder with good length and set of upper arm, prominent prosternum, well ribbed with sufficient depth, correct angulated quarters, balanced throughout with good ground clearance, moving with accuracy front and rear and good extension and drive in profile, please to award CC, BP and BOB.

Lovely type and quality cream boy, correct head piece with eye showing good pigmentation , long neck which gracefully flows into withers, well placed shoulders and good forechest, quarters with good angulation, presented in lovely condition, moving true both fore and aft, I am sure the best is still yet to come and with some more maturity he will have a very good future.

Well balanced boy, liked his head and eye, good neck into sound front assembly with prominent forechest, well ribbed back, quarters with good angulation, moved true up and down and retained a strong topline.

2^nd McCarthy, Nagshall Port Au Prince JW

Pushed hard, well off for bone , good head and almond eye, good neck length flows into strong topline which was retained on the move, well ribbed.

Placed fourth in the last class, well-marked silver dapple boy who showed well for his handler, he has a nice head piece, prominent forechest, would prefer more front angulation and scope on the move.

Red boy with a good head and true expression, well ribbed back, unfortunately lost his topline on the move today.

Red shown in good condition and muscletone, well balanced, good ribbing, won the class on his movement which is true both ways and in profile covers the ground with strong and economical driving gait.

Lovely type and size, well balanced throughout, good ribbing and strong loin, moving parallel both ways and retaining his topline, sympathetically handled to get the best from him.

Elegant quality shaded red boy who was unsettled on the table, once I went over him he did not disappoint with his sound construction, good coat and size, lovely head with expressive almond eyes, long neck flows into withers and front assembly with correct shoulder and upper arm angulations, prominent prosternum and excellent ribbing, well angled and strong quarters, moved true both ways and covered in profile with powerful driving stride, RCC

Well presented boy who has a clean and elegant outline, correct head with dark almond eyes and lovely expression, good neck length leads to sound front assembly and good forechest, good width and angulation through the quarters, moving well in profile with good ground coverage.

Very pretty girl with correct head and eye shape, she has good prosternum and ribbing, moved soundly and accurately for youngster with good ground coverage.

Another quality puppy with good balance throughout, she moved soundly and covered the ground in profile whilst retaining her outline.

3^rd – Goddard, Westwillow A Touch Of Magic At Minard

This quality pretty puppy took my eye straight away, she is elegant and has a graceful clean outline with correct height to length ratio, lovely head piece and eye , clean neck flows to shoulders and sound front assembly, well ribbed with compact loin, standing on close knit feet, good width and angulation of quarters, moved with accuracy up and down and had a free stride in profile, really liked her and considered for RCC but lost out on maturity.

2^nd – Wood, Wildstar Wynnona

Very close up and difficult decision, another high quality and elegant girl, soft and shiny quality coat, lovely head and expression, long neck, well ribbed with correct underline, well angulated rear, she also has good bone and close knit feet, moved true both ways.

Another quality and elegant feminine girl that I really liked, she has a lovely clean outline, correct head and eye, she has a good forechest and is well ribbed with good underline, strong topline, well developed and angulated quarters, she also has good bone and tight feet, she moved with accuracy both ways and soundly in profile.

Pretty cream who is soundly constructed, correct height to length ratio and well balanced throughout with no exaggerations, strong topline retained at all times, well ribbed with a short strong loin, good tight feet, moving parallel both ways and with a ground covering stride she may be compact but she means business demonstrating great character and temperament

Another bitch with good construction, well placed shoulders, very well ribbed back, good rear angulation, she moved with strong drive in profile and retained her outline whilst doing so.

Another lovely bitch of quality, lovely head piece, so well balanced, sound throughout with correct front assembly, stands true on strong tight feet, moving with good extension and drive , really liked her overall type I just felt her handler could get more out of her.

Pretty quality feminine girl of a lovely type, good head with dark almond eyes set off against her cream colouring, correct height to length ratio with sufficient ground clearance, long neck into well angulated front, ribbed well back providing a good underline, short and strong loin with good width through the quarters which are soundly constructed, moved with accuracy up and down and covered well in profile RCC

2^nd – Brown, Ch. Mystera Once Upon A Dream at Garbosa

This girl looked lovely on the stack, she has quality all through and is soundly constructed with very good angulation both front and rear, she moved with extension and drive and retained her outline, well presented in good conditioning, a worthy champion.

3^rd- Mee, Barlaine’s Golden Delight

Nearly 10 years old and in good coat and body condition, pretty head and still has lovely bright eyes, good ribbing and strong in quarters, moved steady and accurately at her own pace as it should be.
