Thank you all for a lovely entry, I had two brilliant stewards who really helped the day along. I was seriously worried by the number of dogs shown with "dirty" or wet eyes. The fact that eyes had not been cleaned before coming into the ring suggests to me that this is something you are so used to seeing that it does not seem unusual. Weight was not a problem, there were a few dogs in each class which were just on the wrong side of 11lbs, but none of these were thin and it did not affect my placings. Dentition was not a problem although teeth cleaning could be improved in some cases. There were several tails with kinks and quite a few with fused vertebrae, one or two of these were very obvious. My biggest problems were heads, fronts and coats. Short, fluffy coats, no ear fringing and short forefaces were almost normal, very few had a prominent breastbone, and there were lots of upright shoulders and short upper arms.
MPD (4, 1) 1 Wood's Wildstar Wrembrandt. Quality b/t who was the best male I judged until the Open Dog class, scored on size and balance, excellent hind movement and good coat, best ribbing, loin ratio, good head and expression, BPD. 2 Woodvine-Shone's Ralines Elstar. A little longer cast than winner but also moved very well behind. 3 Weston & Johnson's Ecotyne If In Doubt.
PD (5, 2) 1 Shutt's Star Gazer Of Donnadoon. Black/cream, best balanced in class and held good outline on move, would prefer a stronger front assembly. 2 Broad's Eldmour Sea Lord Of Dinkidudlor. Lovely head and front, a little on the large side and not moving as well behind as winner. 3 McCarthy's Nagshall Port Au Prince.
JD (5, 2) 1 Jury's Bluebegin Pagen Moon At Torwood. Head and ears do not appeal on this choc/tan, but very well balanced and moved well keeping good outline. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall Just In Time JW. Best head in class, too long for me and not moving as freely as winner. 3 Norton's Halunke Pure Magic. Lovely type but sadly not co-operating in any way today.
Sp Beg D (3, 2) 1 Jury's Bluebegin Pagen Moon At Torwood.
PGD (4) 1 Brooks' Inkums Chilli Pepper At Lyndarlea. Shaded red, good for size and balance, would prefer stronger front but moved soundly holding best outline in class. 2 Breese's Silkdown Phoenix Rising. Tends to lose outline on the move. 3 Kennedy's Kinchville Great Gatsby.
LD (6, 2) 1 Brooks' Odbdax Lynn's Badger JW. Silver dapple with good outline who outmoved the rest. 2 Jury's Torwood Please Turn Over. Smaller clear red, not as good in front as winner but well balanced in outline. 3 Green's Neertanauf Jack Jones.
OD (11) A high quality class, and could have awarded the first three a CC. Thank you all for your patience when judging, had to be interrupted in this class for a considerable time, and it was really good to see everyone rallying round to help. Neertanuaf Sea Magic ShCM JW. Would definitely have made the cut in this class if his handler had been able to continue, and gave a superb display of temperament being passed from handler to handler with no problems. 1 Latham-Jackson's Criscan Leonel Of Urishay. CC. Clear red dog of excellent type, good front and hind angulation gave him a lovely outline, good ground clearance and lovely free ground covering movement, good tail set. 2 Walters' Ch Metadale Masterchef, RCC, smaller squarer cream with good front and very sound, also covering the ground well, preferred outline of winner on the move, just pipped the third on better height to length proportions. 3 Woodall's Half Century Of Rarewood.
VD (1) 1 Woodage's Totonian Toscanini. Very dark b/t with no sign of greying, lovely size, good front, excellent ground covering movement but tending to lose topline.
MPB (4, 1) Good class. 1 Weston & Johnson's Ecotyne Firewitch. Compact and stylish black and tan with excellent hind movement. 2 Murphy's Dinkidudlor Petmar Purfect At Classidax. Gorgeous brindle, lovely head, super movement, good prosternum but lacking in keel and a little long in loin. 3 Shutt's Sanmik Magic Happens To Donnadoon.
PB (11) Excellent class, first three could easily swap places, all three were lovely sound, active free moving bitches - difficult decision. 1 Metadale Coco Chanel Of Bronia. BPB, just pipped the others on her stronger front movement and this also won her BPIB, lovely outline and more mature than others. 2 Cooper's Jumanda's Silver Lace. Excellent balanced outline, lovely make and shape. 3 Barnsdale & Hayward-Barnsdale's Eldmour Nettle Omro At Chriskim.
JB (9, 3) Another good class although several had very short keels. 1 Bell's Tolberg Legally Blonde JW. RCC, lovely compact feminine cream with good pigmentation, good front and rear angles and excellent movement with lovely outline. 2 Oxley's Dinkidax Cyenna Satin. Gorgeous clear red who needs to be moved to be appreciated as she does herself no favours when stood, just failed in shoulder to winner. 3 Bell's Tolberg Till's Just The One.
Sp Beg B (4, 1) 1 Brown's Devoncream Montserrat. Lovely compact clear red, well balanced and sound, with substance. 2 Green's Neertanauf Lucia Rijker. Pleasing black and tan who moved well but lost topline in profile. 3 Drady's Jumanda's Silver Sparkle At Indika.
PGB (17) Difficult class. 1 Mee's Barlaines Red Splendour. Clear red who scored here on construction and sound movement, well ribbed back, the first two good for size, shape and balance. 2 Poole's Findowrie Dixie Rose. Paler red, similarly good construction and movement, good ribbing but not as positive in front as winner. 3 Cohen's Ralines Red Bouquet For Hutzpah.
LB (11, 3) Good class. 1 Lockettt-Walters' Ralines The Last Word. Black/cream with good head and expression, strong jaw, lovely shape and easily best movement in this class, held a very good outline here but tail tended to detract in challenge. 2 Mee's Barlaine's Golden Delight. Very elegant, another who looks better on the move than stacked, just a little longer and lower to ground than winner. 3 Cooper's Jumanda's Silver Slipper JW.
OB (17) Lovely class of quality bitches. 1 Norton's Halunke Dutch Affair. CC, beautiful red, excellent size and shape, very well balanced and well made front and rear, moved effortlessly around the ring holding a super outline, and really covering the ground, won BOB on her better rib, loin ratio, very sorry to see later that she did not enjoy the indoor BIS ring. 2 Geeson's Ch Abydachs Absolutely. Very sound bitch of lovely make and shape, preferred coat  of winner and she was not holding her shape as well on the move, scored on front construction over 3, McCarthy's Nagshall Love Actually JW.
VB (3) 1 Jury, Stephani & Fletcher's Torwood Guns N'Roses At Walnutfarm. BV, red of lovely size and shape, sound free mover, keeping outline on move. 2 Green's Eldmour Electra. Sound and good quality with excellent hind movement, which won her her place over 3, Johnson's Ch Charpurdy Just Iss.
