My thanks to Windsor for the opportunity to judge at this years show and to my two stewards for their help on the day. I enjoyed the day and was pleased with my main winners and delighted when my BOB, Ridgegrove Belle Of The Ball was shortlisted in the Group. The entry today was good numerically, but the quality of exhibits mixed, overall there was more depth of quality in bitches than dogs. All exhibits were shown in clean condition and there was none I regarded as thin of excessively overweight. My placings were as I saw the dogs today, I was looking for a well balanced hound of good construction who could move soundly and freely. We had a lovely big ring where dogs could show off to best advantage. Both temperaments and coats were good, which was lovely to see.
VD/B (4) Lovely class to start the day. 1 Young's Willowheath Hendrix. Ultra smart b/t boy who I awarded the RCC to 5 yrs ago. He is now eight and a half in super condition and looking as good as ever, lovely for type and so well put together, well balanced throughout and presents an excellent outline, masculine head, good neck and head carriage, well constructed front with prominent forechest and snug fitting elbows, ribbing well sprung and carried well back, short loin and strong well angulated quarters, moved out soundly with a free and easy stride. Is an excellent showman and has a lovely temperament. Pleased to award him CC. 2 Johnson's Ch Charpurdy Just Iss. Super quality b/t, very elegant, of a lovely size and breed type and looking really good for her 8 yrs, loved her feminine head and expression, reachy neck, well filled oval front, good depth and length to ribbing and well angulated rear, has good bone and neat feet, moved soundly with lovely reach and drive, keeping a good topline. In lovely coat and condition. A credit to her owner. Pleased to award her the Res BCC. 3 Pitfield's Andynromax Dave At Follyfield.
PD (5) 1 McCarthy's Nagshall Digby Mac. Smart sh/r with lots to like, attractive head, dark eye and good pigmentation, neat well made front, best ribbing in class and well angulated quarters, moved out freely with good rear drive, well presented. 2 Earley Velva Dusky Prince. 11 mth b/t, pleased for overall shape, most attractive head, good neck and front, moved out smartly, still needs to firm in topline, good bone and near feet, just preferred the ribbing of first. 3 Mortlock's Metadale Leandros At Hertsmerry.
JD (5) 1 Way's Sudasm Livin The Dream. I was very taken with this lovely cr youngster whose good conformation and sound, free movement won him this class and the RCC. He is well put together and lovely to go over, masculine head, dark eye and good pigmentation, pleased in front construction, good neck, ribbing carried well back and well angulated quarters. He has good bone and neat feet and was shown in super coat and condition. 2 Brooks' Obdax Lynn's Badger. Well made silver dapple of lovely size and type with good bone and substance and pleasing outline, attractive head with well set ears, reachy neck, good forechest and upperarm, nice depth to rib and well made rear, just preferred the ribbing of first, moved out smartly keeping a good topline. 3 Weston & Johnson's Galrhia Twice As Nice At Ecotyne.
YD (3) 1 Brooks' Lyndarlea Kenny. B/t boy of 16 mths and still a little immature for age. Pleased in head and eye, well angulated fore and aft, good depth of ribbing but ideally would like him a tad shorter in loin and to carry more condition, has good coat and moved out well with good extension. 2 Weston & Johnson's Galrhia Twice As Nice At Ecotyne. Smart b/t, 13 mths, who is neat all through with well filled forechest, good ribbing and quarters, well presented and in lovely coat and moved out smartly. Just preferred the head and better neck of first. 3 McCarthy's Nagshall Wotsitalabout.
PGD (2) 1 Green's Neertanauf Jack Jones. Attractive sh/r of lovely size and type, well proportioned head and dark eye, balanced angulation fore and aft, good bone and feet and lovely flat coat, bit of a fidget for his handler at times but holds himself well on the move, where he really strides out with good rear drive. 2 McCarthy's Nagshall Wotsitalabout. Well presented sh/cr with lovely masculine head, dark eye and pigmentation, although he is a little narrow in front, his angulation is good, has adequate ribbing and well made rear, has good bone but at present his front feet are a little flat and turn out slightly, holds a good topline on the move, preferred the front movement of first.
LD (4) 1 Earley Yelva Mr Brandy Man. Smart red lad, liked his make and shape, lovely head and expression, good neck, front and upper arm, ideally would like longer ribbing but they are well sprung, pleased in outline and kept a good topline at all times, moved well driving from his well angulated rear. 2 Cooper's Jumanda Renaissance. Thought this well made b/t would be my winner, pleased for size and type with good bone and substance, well angulated throughout, with longer ribbing than first, moved soundly away and back but today was roaching his topline and did not have the drive of first. In good coat and has a lovely outgoing temperament. 3 McCarthy's Nagshall Santana JW.
OD (3) 1 McCarthy's Nagshall Oklahoma Surprise. Smart cr lad, neat and well put together and carrying just the right amount of weight, attractive head, liked his front construction, has good width and length to ribbing, well angulated quarters, moved out soundly, holds himself well on the go around and was well presented, could do with a better length of neck but considered for higher honours. 2 Broad's Neertanuaf Sea Magic ShCM JW. Most attractive sh/r, loved his houndy head, reachy neck and well placed shoulder, good length of ribbing and well made rear, moved with good reach and drive and kept a good topline, just preferred the front movement of first. 3 Pinfield's Andyromax Dave Of Follyfield. GCD/B (1) 1 Pinfield's Andyromax Dave Of Follyfield. This 7 yr old b/t is looking really well for his age, masculine head, good forechest, nice ribbing and quarters, in good muscular condition and lovely coat, moved out well, enjoying his day out.
MPB (2) 1 Wston & Johnson's Ecotyne Firewitch. Soundly made b/t of lovely type, well put together with lots to like, pleased in head and expression, well filled front, good ribbing, short loin and well made rear, has width and substance, good bone and neat feet. Ideally would like a tad more length of neck, moved true away and back and freely in profile. Promising young lady. BP. 2 McCarthy's Hey Cari Ann. Pretty sh/cr, beautiful feminine head and expression, good neck and topline, liked her front and rear angulation, ribs could be a tad longer but moved out freely with good rear drive, just needs time to come together and firm up.
PB (4) 1 Poole's Findowrie Tears N Roses. Very feminine cream, lovely for size and neat all through, most attractive head, dark eye and well set ears, good front and keel, long ribbing, good neck and topline, moved out soundly and carries herself well. 2 McCarthy's Hey Cari Ann. 3 Mortlock's Metadale Leonie At Hertsmerry.
JB (10) Close decision between two lovely silver dapple girls. 1 Young's Willowheath Silver Charm. 13 mth old youngster who had immediate appeal, like her make and shape and is pleasing to go over, beautiful head and expression, good neck and front assembly, well filled forechest and neat fitting elbows, ribs carried well back and good rear angulation, moved soundly with a free easy stride, just needs a bit more maturity, lovely prospect. 2 Cooper's Jumanda Silver Slipper. Very pleasing girl, beautiful outline, again lovely body proportions, has width and substance, good bone and feet, well filled forechest, good ribbing carried well back, in lovely coat and condition, well handled and moved freely, just preferred the size of first. 3 Brown's Devon Cream Diamond Trinket.
YB (6) 1 McCarthy's Nagshall Just So JW. Petty sh/cr, very feminine in outlook whose good conformation and sound movement won her this class. Attractive head, good neck, shoulder and upper arm, well ribbed back, bit of a fidget standing but moved freely with good rear drive. 2 Cooper's Jumanda Silver Slipper. 3 Rees' Yumares Wynnona.
PGB (10) 1 Johnson's Dandydayo Silen Night At Charpurdy. Lots to like about this quality red, loved her smooth flowing outline, elegant head and dark eye, good neck, well filled front and long ribbing, moved true away and back and strode out in profile. In good coat and showed very well. 2 Brace's Xemija Ice Flirtini. Lovely bitch with immediate appeal and close up to first, immaculately presented cream in lovely coat and condition, appealed for her feminine head and dark pigmentation, well made throughout with good bone and feet, moved out smartly keeping a good topline, liked her a lot. 3 McCarthy Nagshall Loralei.
LB (8) 1 Angear's Ridgegrove Polly Anna. Stylish red with lovely flat coat who showed well and moved true with good forward reach and drive, most attractive head, good neck, front and ribbing, strong well made rear, presents a lovely clean outline, has excellent bone and feet and kept a good topline on the move. 2 Johnson's Charpurdy Just Ification. Very pleasing b/t, beautiful in outline with lovely body proportions and very feminine in outlook, balanced angulation fore and aft, ribbing carried well back, has the most attractive head and well set ears, good neck and topline, moved out smartly, just preferred the front movement of first today. 3 Edwards' Barok Blonde Bombshell.
OB (8) 1 Angear's Ridgegrove Belle Of The Ball. This super little b/t girl of real quality has a touch of elegance about her with the most beautiful head and expression and I loved everything about her. She is of the size and type I like, super in outline and so well balanced. Her front is well constructed with good upperarm, snug fitting elbows, well sprung lengthy ribbing, short loin and firm nicely angulated quarters, was very sound away and back with both reach and drive in profile. In lovely gleaming coat and condition. Pleased to award her CC and BOB. 2 Johnson's Charpurdy Just Willow. Immaculately presented b/t in sparkling condition who presents a pleasing overall shape, well constructed throughout, has width and substance, good bone and neat feet, loved her head and expression, good neck and topline, moved with a good stride keeping a smart outline, liked her a lot, most promising. 3 Brooks' Hanishan Easy Magic Night At Lyndarlea.
