I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge miniature longhairs at their show, and the exhibitor’s for their entries’. While i was   pleased with my principal winner’s, front construction  is a concern, and while many look good stacked, on the move proved a different story, with little rear drive and front extension. I found many with dirty teeth, which I find appalling;  teeth cleaning is basic health care.

On the plus side, temperament and presentation on the whole was good. Some would have benefited from a little extra weight.  I found no suspect mouths or kinked tails; two exhibits were well over the desired weight.

Veteran Dog/Bitch. 2

1st Bowman-Davies  Timshaws Magic Dragon.12 year old red bitch of lovely type, in good coat and condition, Lovely head, and well made overall, she moved well keeping her top line. BV.

2nd Broads Jenwood  Ring of Bells, 12 year old red dog, in good coat and condition, showing his age a little, but has good overall construction , moved well.

MPD 1

1st McCarthy’s, Nagshall No Nay Never, Quality cream baby, with very sound front construction, tight fitting elbows, lovely head, and dark pigment. Excellent bone and bunchy feet. He has a lovely straight silky coat, moved ok, he needs to strengthen in hind action, but he has time on his side.

PD 3

1st  Dinkidax  Just Incredible, Promising  shaded cream,  with   houndy  head, well filled front, lovely chunky feet , good spring and length of ribbing, nicely angled quarters,  Looked a picture on the move, which was positive and with style, with good head carriage ,and level top line, BP,RBPIS.

2nd

McCarthy’s Nagshall, Mr Tambourine Man, Attractive red of good type, I liked his overall construction. He has a lovely head, prominent front and good ribbing,  a little long in loin for perfect balance, moved soundly.

3rd

Bedfords,Wynndax steady Eddie as ye go of Dinkidudior.

JD,

1st  Barnsdales   Chriskims  Trail Blazer, Shaded red with lovely head, well off for bone, prominent front , long well sprung ribs, well angled hind quarters, moved well, not cooperating with his owner in the challenge, and would like more length of neck.

2nd,

Mcarthy’s Nagshall Mr Tambourine man. 2nd PD

3rd,

Early’s Yelva King of the Road.

Yearling Dog 4

Hollsworths Abydachs Aniseed, Gorgeous cream dog, with lovely head, dark almond eye, and excellent pigment. Superb in breed type, prominent front, enough neck, and good shoulder placement. In lovely coat and condition. With a strong, hammy, well angled rear, he moved round the ring with drive and style, it gave me great pleasure to award him the CC and BOB.    BIS

2nd

Early’s, Yelva Mr Brandy Man, Lovely shaded red, of different type to one. Houndy head, and dark eye. He has good front construction, and well laid shoulder, strong well let down rounded quarters, which he used to advantage on the move, driving round the ring with a level top line. In lovely coat and condition.

3rd

McCarthy’s Nagshall Just Santana.

PGD 6

1st

Woodall’s Half Century at Rarewood, Well marked silver dapple of lovely type, prominent front, attractive head, long elegant neck, with ribbing going well back. Liked his ground clearance and depth of body, moved well keeping his top line.

2nd

Pitfields Follyfield Figaro, Very nice black and tan, lower to ground, and not the length of neck of one, but he is well made through, and in lovely hard condition.

3rd,

Burge and Rossitors, Lyndarlea Lordy Lordy at Creekpit.

LD 8

1st

Broads Neertanauf Sea magic, Quality Dog! Shaded red, with gorgeous head and eye, excellent front, tight fitting elbows, elegant neck flowing into good shoulders, deep well sprung ribs, lovely on the move with level top line, just tends to rise up a little behind when stacked.

2nd

Johnsons Charpurdy  Gold Nugget, Lower to ground than one, sound in front, with lovely feet, plenty of substance here, good shoulder placement and length of rib, lovely rounded quarters, liked him a lot. A little round in eye.

3rd

McCarthy’s, Nagshall Oklahoma Sunrise.

OD,

1st

Bedford’s  Dinkidudlor  Jankay Tooray . One I have judged before, this little dog has excellent conformation throughout, tight fitting elbows and lovely feet. Very positive on the move, with good head carriage and level top line. In lovely coat and condition. Would  prefer a stronger head. RCC.

2nd

Grahams, CH Jadag Heir Apparent, Quality chocolate dapple, who I judged as a youngster. Houndy head, correct front construction, elegant neck, and good shoulders.  Well let down behind, in excellent coat and condition, he was reluctant to move with any sparkle today. Pity….a worthy champion.

3rd,

Walters, Ch Ralines Just Ozzie.

MPB 7

1st

McCarthy’s  Nagshall  Love  Actually, Cream,  very much a baby, she  has a lovely head, very good front with tight fitting elbows, lovely bone and feet, good length of rib, well angled quarters. Moved well, just lacked maturity in the puppy challenge, losing her top line a little.

2nd

Locket Walters-Walters,  Ralines  Double Dutch, Rangier in type than one and quite immature, but so well put together, elegant red, with a lovely head, prominent front, tight fitting elbows, well arched neck and good lay of shoulder.  Should do well when she settles down. A naughty baby on the move, but I couldn’t deny her 2nd place.

3rd

Mitchells, Ralines, Just Jodie at Bronia.

PB 6

1st

Johnsons Charpurdy Just Willow, Quality black and tan, with superb outline. Lovely head and eye, good feet, prominent front, elegant neck, very good hind angulation, and meaty quarters, so good on the move which was free and positive. In lovely condition. Should have a bright future. Wish she were mine.

2nd

McCarthy’s Nagshall Just So, Another lovely cream from this kennel, and the similar remarks apply   as her litter sister in 1st MPB. Not as settled as her sibling, but am sure she will mature into something special, has time on her side.

3rd

Grahams Jadag Fancy That.

JB 5

Jonson’s Charpurdy ,  Just iffication,  Litter sister to 1st in previous class, she has the same quality.   The same notes apply, but not quite the ribbing of her sibling, moved well.

Clewes, Shardbeck Cinnamon Spice.
