MINIATURE LONGHAIRED

My thanks to the officers and committee for their hospitality and to the exhibitors for this entry. I feel that the bitches are in much better shape than the dogs at present, the restrictions due to colours and size may limit the choice of stud dogs avaliable. We must not loose sight of the fact that thses may be small dogs but they are still hounds, not toys, and should be treated as such. I note soft feet, lack of muscle and two many rochy toplines and down on the pasterns in particular which leads me to believe these animals are not exercising and living life generally as a hound might.

MPD. (5). 1. Pooles’, Findowrie Man About Town. Immature baby. Good head. Correct front and rear angulation. Steady movement for youngster. 2. Butler’s, Maundowne Momentum. Needs to gain in confidence. Well made boy who should mature on well. 3. Leggett’s, Mardchrob Milky Bar in Sonsrymes.

PD. (3). 1. Brown’s, Jympems Houdini at Garbosa. Masculine dog. Lovely head. Sound construction. Firm topline. Stylish mover. Good coat. BP. 2. McLean’s, Maxwin Follow the Sun. Quality puppy who needs to settle and be more at one with the handler as he lost out on behaviour on the day. 3. Leggett’s, Sonsrymes Sports Man.

JD. (7). Disappointing class. 1. Thomas’s, Shenaligh Sweet Tiger. Easy winner here. Good topline, well ribbed. Correct head. Tight front assembly. Neat underline. Well angulated rear. Moved with ease. 2. Harrison’s, Lacerking Jimmy Mac. Not so good in front and topline could be firmer. Good overall outline. Moved well. 3. Leyshow’s, Jadag Silver Heir with Picklescott.

PGD. (7). 1. Cawley and King’s, Fizzy Flyer for Summerview. Very nice compact dog. Good outline, front and depth of keel. Well ribbed, nicely shaped rear. Well handled. Moved very well. Close up in the challenge. 2. Bedford’s, Dinkidudlor Bailey Besso. Good body shape. Fair front and topline. Not so well angulated as winner. 3. Croxford’s, Arbroath Mr Macsporran.

LD. (9). 1. Garman’s, Albaney Cornish Cream. Good pigment. Nice lay of shoulder. Well ribbed and well angulated all through. Moved well. 2. Bedford’s, Dinkidudlor Bracken Booka. Pleasing head, neck and front assembly. Well bodied. Movement not as steady as winner. 3. Graver’s, Melvalley Midnight Star.

OD. (6). 1. Hanney’s, Bronia Star of Oz. CC and BOB. Super dog. Masculine but elegant. Good head and eye. Well laid shoulders. Correct topline, well off for rib. Good underline. Strong well angulated rear. Moved well. 2. Naden’s, Marielle’s Brigadier Jerard. RCC. Another quality male. Close up to winner in many departments. Just lacked the verve and showmanship on the day. 3. Watkins’, Bodirnis Pinball Wizard.

MPB. (4). 1. Butler’s, Maundowne Memories of Drymoor. Sweet baby, pretty head. Good front and rear angulation. Steady movement. Should do well with maturity. 2. Brooks’, Maundowne Modern Millie at Lyndarlea. Coming along well, but not as together in overall shape as winner. 3. Johnson’s, Charpurdy’s Star of the East.

PB. (12). 1. Norton’s, Halunke Miss Martini. Lovely head and eye. Firm topline. Good underline, good coat. Well angulated rear. Steady movement. BP. 2. Wallace’s, Cheslan Makunu Rah. Good length. Pretty head and expression. Good shoulders. Needs to fill out her frame. 3. Leyshon’s, Picklescott Desdemona.

JB. (10). 1. Turner’s, Rafthouse Tallulah. RCC. Good head and eye. Reachy neck. Well placed shoulders. Prominent front. Well ribbed and angulated. Movement first class. Just needs her finishing touches to trouble the mature bitches. Promising. 2. Burge and Rossiter’s, Barok Bellerania of Creekpit. Nice body shape for age. Good topline and angulation. Sound mover. 3. Edward’s, Barok Zola Bella.

PGB. (13). 1. Naden’s, Marielle’s Purest Gem. Very feminine bitch. Good outline, front and depth of keel. Well ribbed, well angulated at rear. Moved steadily. 2. Williamson’s, Barkroyal Galaxy Quest. Good neck, front and topline. Strong hindquarters. Moved well. 3. Farmer’s, Jenwood Candle Light.

LB. (12). 1. Duchesne’s, Scandell’s Ring of Dreams. Compact bitch. Good head, eye and well laid shoulders. Well sprung ribs. Good depth of keel. Nice rear angulation. Good ground coverage on the move. 2. Naden’s, Marielle’s Haywoods Lamb. Well placed shoulder and good length of neck. Good general outline and steady movement. 3. Scott’s, Zadophie over the Moon to Wolferlow.

OB. (8). 1. Wood’s, Wildstar Wright Royal. CC. Quality bitch. Lovely head and eye. Good length of neck. Correct shoulder placement. Good front, level topline, neat underline. Good rear angulation. Carries herself well on the move. 2. Elworthy’s, Jamiespring Desert Song. Sound well constructed bitch. Close up to winner but not the strength of movement or overall finish. 3. Butler’s, Drymoor Secret Delight.
