MPD. (1). 1. Brown’s, Jypems Houdini at Garbosa. Brindle dog. Good head and eye. Well bodied. Very sound. Would like a little more front. BPD. PD. (2). 1. Keays’, Ambermist Prince Charming at Essendy. Black and tan. Good depth of body. Nice quarters. Sound movement. Would like more front and shoulder angulation. Well presented and handled. 2.
JD. (4). 1. Illidge’s, Paradachs Murphy Moonshine. Nice headed black and tan. Good type. Excellent quarters. Moved well. Ribbing could be a little longer. 2. Strachans’, Bronia Rob Roy of Calderpark. Black and tan of good type. Taller than the winner and not so fluid in movement. In good condition and well handled. 3. Keays’, Ambermist Prince Charming at Eddendy.
PGD. (4). 1. Brooks’, Darknight Black Magic at Lyndarlea. Black and cream. Lovely shape, long ribbing. Very sound movement. Good head and eye. Well handled and presented. 2. Cooper’s, Jumanda’s Hot Chocolate. Choc with a little more length than the winner. Lovely head and eye. Sound movement. Preferred length of ribbing on the winner. 3. Buchan and Colley’s, Ebony Night Runner at Helenium.
LD. (7). 1. Hanney’s, Bronia Star of Oz. Black and tan dog of very good shape. Excellent ribbing. Sound well angulated quarters, correct shoulders. Good movement. Thick coat which does not always help. Well presented and handled. DCC which I was told makes him up. Congratulations. 2. Mees’, Barlaines Crusader. Black and tan. Good head and eye. Firm front and topline. Nice quarters. Sound movement. A very nice dog. RCC. 3. Brook’s, Lyndarlea Digby Boy.
OD. (3). 1. Jamieson’s, Djeata Riven Within the Ring. Neat black and tan dog with good head and eye. Strong front and quarters. In good coat and condition. Moved well. 2. Amos’s, Dacatec Dream Wizard. Black and tan not the head and neck of the winner. Very good condition. Moved well. Well handled and presented.
MPB. (5). 1. Wallace’s, Cheslan Makunu Rah. Black and cream. I like her very much. Excellent front and quarters. Very sound. Good outline both stacked and on the move. In very good coat and condition. Well handled and presented. 2. Kennedy’s, Denkena’s Maggie May. Red of good type in excellent coat and condition. Sound but not as settled on the move as the winner. 3. Brook’s, Lyndarlea Million to One.
PB. (5). 1. Heirser’s, Polinard Seventh Angel. Light red. Good head and eye. Sound quarters. Deep body. Moved well. 2. Halsall’s, Kiddles Ruddles. Black and tan in good coat. Hard form topline. Moved well. Not the quarters of the winner. 3. Kennedys’, Denkena’s Zarabay.
JB. (6). 1. Turner’s, Rafthouse Tallulah. Deep red bitch of excellent type. Beautiful head and eye. Well placed shoulders. Strong quarters. In excellent coat and condition. Excellent movement with drive and extension. Most unlucky to meet the Open bitch. RCC and BPIB. 2. Mees’, Barlaines Lady Charlotte. Black and tan of exquisite type. My most difficult decision of the day. Super front and quarters. Sound free movement. I liked her very much. 3. Allan and Dicks’, Auchans Thistle Dubh Braw.
PGB. (8). 1. Kennedy’s, Denkenas Lady Bear. Black and tan. Very nice bitch in excellent coat and condition. Free sound movement. Nice head and expression. Well handled. 2. Charnley’s, Northnook Nutmeg. Chocolate. Very good head and eye. Good body ahd shape. Excellent coat and condition. Moved well. Topline can just settle a little. 3. Oxley’s, Dinkidax Amaryllis.
LB. (9). 1. Priestley’s, Hillstar Maxzina. Small red of excellent shape. Correct front and quarters. Very feminine head and expression with good eye. Moved well. Would like a little more neck. In excellent coat and condition. 2. Brooks’, Lyndarlea Pride of Kiryon. Very sound shaded red. Correct front and quarters. Nice head and eye. Coat could be better. 3. Charnley’s, Northbrook Mystic Maid.
OB. (4). 1. Goddard’s, Ch. Minard Krystal Darque. Outstanding black and tan bitch. Very difficult to fault and certainly on top form at present. Excellent head and eye. Super body, front and quarters. Very correct movement with drive and extension. Unlucky in the Group. 2. Mees’, Barlaines be my Valentine. The third excellent exhibit from this kennel. Good head and eye. Long ribbing. Sound front and quarters. Very sound movement and presented in tip top condition. 3. Kamieson’s, Djeata the Elf Princess.
Roy Metcalfe
