Many thanks to Pauline and Ian Sidgwick for
their good company and doing such a good job keeping the ring in order. We
managed to stay outside until just before the DCC & the grassy indoor ring
conditions were not ideal for miniature dachshunds, but they coped admirably
I thought. I enjoyed judging this lovely entry and thank you to the
	exhibitors for bringing their charges.
MPD (3) 1 Rozamie Tiger Feet (Magri), brindle
dog & a good start to the day, liked his head and eye, very typical and keen
in expression, beautiful front, firm topline & tail well set and carried
correctly. In super muscular condition & peak fitness, I thought he was
lovely. Very accurate up and back and carried himself well in profile. BPD &
only beaten by the lovely CC winning puppy bitch for BPIB. Will have many
more good days as he is full of quality. 2 Bronia Daimmen (Hanney-Mitchell),
B/T dog & another with a super outline and shape. Excellent head and eye,
good strength but not coarse; well made in front, firm topline and neat
underline; good static balance & retained his outline on the move; not quite
so free as the winner today, but he is very sound and with lots to like. 3
	Stoweytop Red Endeavour (Bullingham)
	PD (6,2) 1 Clentry Desperado (Andison), B/T
dog who wasn’t the winner of this class until the final go around; liked his
head which is maturing nicely, good expression & balance to skull; well made
in front and firm enough in topline; used himself well on the move which is
where he won the class on the final go around, as he pulled himself together
to give a lovely silhouette. Very accurate up and back & most promising. 2
Shantallah Fire Starter at Atikan (O’Hare Wilson & Wilson), I see a son of
the DCC winner, I thought this shaded red dog would be the winner on first
inspection. Good to go over on the table, his head is perhaps not his best
feature; but it is balanced with some strength. Forelegs could be a touch
neater, but his body is well knit & he is in optimum condition. Initially he
went better than Desperado, but on the final analysis Desperado upped his
game & Fire Starter didn’t quite have the same carriage. 3 Elnside Galaxy
	Defender (Mcaulay).
JD (2) 1 Glynfelin Phoenix Odyssey (Morrin &
Barbi), B/T dog not yet a year old & is not so advanced in body as some of
his peers; good head and eye, enough neck and fair shoulders, firm enough in
topline & whilst enjoying himself as he went, he did show glimpses of his
soundness and so was edged over 2 here as he coped better with the
conditions. 2 Russteck Red Mcgregor (Black & Russell & Cross), red dog who I
thought would be the winner as he is better for type, good to go over on the
table, not perfectly happy with the conditions today either standing or
moving & I don’t blame him, paid the price today but I am sure once he gets
his act together will have many good days as he is very smart.
YD (3) 1 Melriding Black Tom ( Melbourne,
Paget & Carroll), quality B/T dog who is very shapely. Lots to like on the
table, very good in head and eye; enough neck & return of upperarm, firm
topline and beautifully hammy hindquarters, used himself well on the move
going with a sound, free action and is particularly eye catching in profile.
2 Bronia’s Armand at Cazdachs (Strange), red dog & another with a good head
and eye, a touch deeper all through than the winner & cuts up a little more
sharply; but he is very sound on the move and uses himself well. Presented
in first class order and in super muscle tone. 3 Mumysami You’re All I Need
	(Holmes).
ND (3) 1 Bronia Donatello for Wakywilks
(Wilkinson & Wakeham), B/T litter brother to Daimmen and shares many of his
brother’s attributes. Won this class on his overall shape and outline, both
standing and moving. Liked his head and eye, good forehand & keel; firm
topline & well-muscled quarters; sound and accurate on the move and shows
lots of promise. 2 Mumysami You’re All I Need (Holmes), shaded red who I
also thought was quite nice for shape and outline. Good head and eye, enough
neck and decent front; firm enough in topline and has good hindquarters.
Perhaps not so free on the move as Donatello but a good quality dog. 3
	Nisyros Lorenzo at Greyvista (Mills).
GD (1) 1 Crosscop Roberto (Bryant), shaded red
dog who stood alone here; very shapely when set up & kept this shape both
standing and moving; good to go over, just enough strength in head and fair
in front; very good in profile & put down in good muscular condition.
PGD (6) 1 Rozamie Red Corvette (Magri), shaded
red dog & good winner of this class, liked him first off for his balance on
the table, good head and eye, keen expression & balance to skull; good
shoulder and upperarm, excellent keel, firm topline and good hammy
hindquarters. Very free and easy on the move and goes with a touch of
youthful exuberance, enjoying himself all the while. Keeps his outline and
carries himself well and I thought he well deserved the RDCC in this good
entry of males. 2 Bronia Chevalier (Scott), shaded red dog with lots to
like, good head and eye, very good expression & balance to skull. Perhaps
not quite so good in front as the winner, but he is well ribbed back & has a
firm topline. Carries himself well on the move, just not quite so free and
easy as the winner. 3 Marvale Kingfisher (Downie).
LD (4) 1 Bronia Gabriel for Wakywilks JW
(Wilkinson & Wakeham), shaded red dog & another who I thought was very good,
seemingly typical of the breeding which won well here today. Lots to like,
super head and eye, good front & keel; firm topline, good ground clearance
and very sound up and back; eyecatching in profile. Very smart young dog. 2
Stargang Hay Bob at Feebrick (Francis), red dog who presents a good shape
and outline. Not quite the head or front of the winner, but quite balanced
and typical. Sound on the move; but could have been a little cleaner coming
to me I thought. Very well presented and handled. 3 Clentry Cranberry
	(Burnett).
OD (4,1) 1 Ch Marvale Firecrest (Paget &
Carroll), smashing red dog with a lot of quality. Caught my eye as soon as
he came in & held my attention. Excellent head and expression, beautiful in
front, well ribbed back and firm in topline. In super muscular condition and
at the peak of fitness. Used himself very well on the move, very true away
and back & super in profile. Held his typical and most admirable outline at
all times. Liked him a lot here, my eye was drawn to him all the time and he
continued to impress right through to take, ultimately, the DCC & BOB. Well
done on G4. 2 D’arisca Dinner at Eight (Coxon), B/T and a different shape to
the winner. I liked his head and eye, just found him a touch deeper in front
& not quite the angulation throughout as the winner. Well ribbed & kept his
topline standing and moving. Kept his outline in profile and he is in super
condition. 3 Stargang Magic Alfie Moon at Cazdachs (Strange).
VD (1) Duddondaxs Judge Jude for Jenivon
(Jennings), the last one who was judged outside in the rain! Liked this old
man for his shape and quality, he has a good head and eye, is a good shape &
in excellent fit muscle-tone. Makes more of himself on the floor than on the
table and went with a good, free and easy action. BVIB. MPB (4) 1 Bronia
Blayze (Hanney-Mitchell), beautiful shaded red youngster who caught my eye
the minute she came in the ring & I was quite excited to get her on the
table and see if she would be as good as she looked on the ground. Quite an
arresting outline to stand back and take in. I thought she was, super head
and expression, beautifully fronted & excellent shoulders; firm topline and
neat underline; hammy bum & super rear angulation. Very angular on the table
and so well knit; and on the move she goes with a free, easy action like she
has been doing it forever! In this class I thought she stood out & she looks
the puppy she is; but in the challenge my eye was drawn to her all the time
and I felt she deserved the big green card. Quite special I thought. BCC,
BOS & BPIB. 2 Lokmadi Don’t Bring Lulu (Kent), I see sired by the RDCC
winner & granddaughter of the 3rd in OB; this B/T bitch has a lot going for
her. She shows lots of promise, correct head and eye, good expression and
balance to skull; good shoulder and upper arm, firm enough in topline and
used herself well on the move. 3 Loggeta Lucky Swirl at Clavennae (Foley).
PB (6,2) 1 Clentry Red Hot An Smoking
(Andison), very nice red puppy; good head and eye, enough neck & firm
topline; neat underline and good quarters. Standing on good legs and feet,
she went with power and ease and coped well with the conditions; lots to
like and most promising. 2 Marvale Golden Plover (Paget & Carroll), lovely
name for this red puppy who I thought might be the winner on first glance.
She has everything I like in the variety and is good to go over & equally as
good on the move. As with all the dogs from this kennel, presented in super
fit, hard condition; lacking a little in confidence compared to the winner,
who coped admirably with the conditions. Sound and free & most promising. 3
Marvale Rosefinch at Helydon (Kirkwood-Emery). JB (5) 1 Jenivon’s Jenny Wren
(Jennings), three nice bitches here & the winner was this shaded red, very
typical of her breeding; lots to like on the table and when she was moving.
Good head and eye, very expressive, firm front, good keel and ribbing; kept
her outline in profile and used herself well, which is what gave her the
edge over 2 here. 2 Marvale Fieldfare (Andison), close relation of the
winner & I liked the shape and outline of this red. Very nice expression,
good strength throughout; good shoulders and upperarm, firm enough in
topline and sound on the move. Just preferred the profile of the winner on
the day. 3 Clentry Mary Poppins at Atikan (O’Hare Wilson & Wilson).
YB (4) 1 Melriding Sisi (Melbourne, Paget &
Carroll), litter sister to Black Tom & cut very much from the same mould.
Lots to like about her, very typical throughout and all of a piece. Super
head and eye, well made in front and balanced throughout. In excellent
muscular condition as were all the dogs from this kennel. I would imagine on
this form she too could carry a title. 2 Shantallah Song of The Lark by
Nisyros (Anderson & Watt), thought this bitch would be the winner on first
glance & she is very typical of her breeding. Lovely size, beautiful head
and eye, good forehand and keel; well ribbed back and good tail for both set
and carriage. She is sound on the move & quite enjoyed playing up her
skilled handler! Close call and I liked her a lot. 3 Mumysami Beth Level of
	Crazy (Cumberland).
NB (4) 1 Marvale Rosefinch at Helydon
(Kirkwood-Emery), third in PB & not disgraced there, I see she is Golden
Plover’s sister and is quite similar in most respects. Not quite so free on
the move as the two above her in the earlier class but she went better here
and showed me what she was made of. A very useful bitch with a lot of
quality. 2 Bronia Bijoux for Wakywilks (Wilkinson & Wakeham), litter sister
to the BCC winner & you can tell; very good in head and eye, perhaps not the
front angulation of her sister but it is acceptable; good in topline and
quarters; very good in profile on the move and like most here today, in
great condition. 3 Lokmadi Don’t Bring Lulu (Kent). GB (2,1) 1 Linburndax
Haggis Bon Babe (Wilson), B/T bitch, typical head and eye, could have a
touch more neck and be a little better in front, enough ribbing but a touch
longer in loin than ideal. Firm hindquarters but could be a touch more
stable when returning. Good shape in profile and used herself well.
PGB (2) 1 Zilveraat Moulin Rouge (Wilson), red
bitch & a touch rangier than I would prefer. Good head, eyes perhaps a touch
round. Good quarters and firm topline; perhaps a bit shorter than ideal in
body. Sound and active on the move and in good muscular condition
throughout. 2 Gordax Bunty (Tait), shaded red bitch, perhaps a mite better
in head and expression than the winner, but not quite so good in front or
hindquarters on the move. Well-conditioned in body and in quite good
muscular condition. Well presented and handled.
LB (8,2) 1 Brogansian Gingerella (Fleming),
another good class where any of the first four could have been further up
the line and it was really only minor details and preferences that separated
them. Very nice red, good head and eye, very typical & with strength; but
retaining femininity, lots to like on going over her and she is in super fit
condition. Moved with good, free easy strides & was close up in the
challenge. Title bound I am sure. 2 Jenivons Miss Marple (Jennings), shaded
red bitch & this was a close call as I did like her very much too; felt the
winner coped better in the damp conditions we found ourselves in; but she
too is a very shapely bitch with a lot of qualities. Beautiful head and eye,
excellent forehand, super body & very sound. I would imagine like the
winner, she too will carry a title in time and would do so deservedly in my
opinion. 3 Lokmadi Oh What A Circus (Kent).
	OB (7,2) 1 D’arisca Little Black Dress
(Coxon), B/T and a good winner of this nice class. Liked her head and eye,
very typical and correct, intelligent expression, full of life & keen, so
good to go over, all of a piece, well ribbed back & firm throughout; just
enough ground clearance & used herself very well on the move to win here
over 2nd and take the RBCC. 2 Ch Marvale Sandpiper (Paget & Carroll), red
litter sister to DCC & they are very much out of the same mould. She is like
a feminine version of him and I admired her qualities a lot. Good in head
and eye, firm quarters and good feet. Well ribbed back, firm in topline and
good hindquarters. Used herself well on the move but didn’t cope with the
conditions quite as well as Little Black Dress. Lovely bitch & worthy Ch. 3
	Lokmadi with A Dragon Tattoo (Magri & O’Connell & O’Connell), completed a
	trio of lovely bitches.
VB (3,2) 1 Stoweytop Sea of Stars
(Bullingham), shaded red bitch & it is scary to see a DOB of 2016 and see
that she is a veteran, time flies! Lots to like, enough strength to muzzle,
ears could perhaps be a touch better set & she could have more layback in
front; free and easy on the move and is sound. BVB.
	Evan L Ryan (Cavallibrook/Feorlig)
