MINIATURE SMOOTH HAIRED
I would like to thank all of the
exhibitors for giving me such a very large entry and I was pleasantly surprised
to see that the Miniature breeds have improved considerably. On the whole I
found better heads, shoulders, ribbing, fronts and toplines. There is still a
few with wrinkley legs and soft feet these need to be addressed.
PD (12,2) 1 Settle’s Siouxline Cristopher Robin. Impressive clear red
boy with an excellent head and eyes. Good reach of neck flowing into correct
shoulders. Prominent forechest following the crook positively, keeping a level
topline. 2 Ashwell-Carter and Ergis’ Minimead Mr Noitall at Siouxline. Smart
little black and tan dog. Nice head, good feet and bone, good ribbing and he
moved soundly. 3 Burton’s Swingletrees Ready-Teddy-Go.
JD (11,1) 1 Blackburn’s Shelsall Jettison. Smart little b/t dog and
sound as a bell. Loved his type and substance. Good head and eye, good reach of
neck and correct front. Moved soundly on tight feet, keeping a good topline. 2
Shelton’s Barisse High Endeavour. Impressive red, close up to the winner and
similar in type. Once again a good head and eye. Good ribbing, nice quarters and
moved positively. 3 Mead’s Minimead Minisota.
PGD (7,3) 1 Yeoman’s Klynerbyner Vim and Vigour. CC. Good rich dark
chocolate, well placed ears and a super head with a nice oval eye. Good
pro-sternum, excellent shoulders and ribbing going well back. Nice hammy
quarters. Sound as a bell which showed on the move. 2 Doran’s Dorandaq Ikando.
Another beauty. Lovely red with a nice head. Good forechest, tight feet. Moved
soundly keeping a good outline. 3 Hartley’s Minimead Malachi at Lyrosh.
LD (8,1) 1 Yeoman’s Klynerbyner Vim and Vigour. Another first for this
boy - one of the nicest chocolates I’ve seen for a while. 2 Macdonald’s Bensarka
the Midas Touch. Lovely headed red boy with good bone and feet. Good depth of
forechest, ribbing well back and moved true fore and aft. 3 Melbourne’s
Melriding Jerome.
OD (5) 1 Ergis’ Ch Siouxline Indigo JW Sh CM. Res CC. A very nicely
balanced b/tan boy of great quality and a worthy Champion. Great masculine head
set on a nice reach of neck. Excels in front, ribbing and bone. Moved perfectly,
close decision with the CC. 2 Ashwell-Carter’s Siouxline Issac JW Sh CM. Close
decision again here. The winner was slightly more masculine, but two lovely boys
which I see are by the same breeder. Well done. 3 Melbourne and Coxon’s
Melriding De Lafayette JW.
PB (27,2) 1 Williams’ Celtichills Hot Chocolate. Best Puppy, CC and
BOB. What a huge class with some lovely puppies going cardless. However, I chose
this chocolate baby of 9 months. My type, lots of bone, super head and dark eye.
Good front, shoulders, quarters and good tight feet. Flowed round the ring in
style. A star is born!? 2 Blackburn-Bennett’s Stargang Lotus Elite. Nice
impressive brindle bitch from this successful kennel. Has all the attributes to
go far, unlucky to meet the winner. 3 Mendes’ Scharmein Inka.
JB (12,2) 1 Robinson’s D’Arisca Barratini Bouquet. Very smart young b/t
girl with super head, neck, shoulders and feet. Kept a nice topline on the move,
very very elegant. 2 Coxon’s Rose Darque at D’Arisca. Another nice little
brindle in a well deserved 2nd in this class. Just preferred the head of my
winner. 3 Hughes’ Cedax Sunny Serina for Julidachs.
PGB (17,4) 1 Barber’s Pattons Little Eva by Rivergate. Gorgeous clear
red girl and just my type. Nice expression, good front and shoulders, tight
feet. Excellent ribbing. Moved soundly keeping topline. 2 Doran’s Dorandaq Java.
Very similar type to the winner, quality all through. Close decision between
these two reds. 3 Punter’s Jentiki Kendle for Welcumen.
LB (8,2) 1 Lashbrook’s Little Miss Molly of Milfer. Very
striking red. Beautiful construction. Head, neck, front and ribbing lovely, kept
a great outline on the move. 2 Rouse’s Dvordac Kiss the Future. Very close up to
the winner, this nice shaded red. She’s a very sound little bitch with all the
same attributes. 3 Kerry’s Dolyharp Pizzicato at Kireton.
OB (11,1) 1 Barber’s Ch Simply Red Ruby of Rivergate. Another
beauty, a well deserved Champion. Ticks all the boxes for soundness and
construction. Moved beautifully. 2 Coxon’s Ch D’Arisca Golden Delicious. Very
very close up to the winner with all the same attributes. Oozes quality, very
stylish. Just preferred the head of the winner. 3 Doran’s Switherland
Kalaidescope.
