SCOTTISH DACHSHUND CLUB 2017

Best in Show

It was an honour and my pleasure to judge this most pleasant show, where BIS was Mitchell's CH. Bronia Lotario S/R Long to whom I gave a 1st as a M. Puppy and he has not faltered since although now in veteran. Strong, masculine head and muzzle with expressive dark eye, nicely arched neck into good shoulders, tight elbows, enough pro-sternum, good ribbing and follow through, excellent bone and feet. Nice turn of stifle, short hocks, moved with drive with good reach and extension, sound fore and aft. Couldn't fault his wonderful coat and body condition. Also BVIS. RBIS was Armstrong's CH. Lauralee Nickolas Nickleby B/T Smooth of excellent type. Super masculine head shape, dark eye, strong muzzle. Elegant neck flows into well placed shoulder and correct topline, ribbing and tailset: good bone, a shade deep in sternum but flows into lovely underline, well shaped quarters with short strong hocks. An impressive dog well deserving of his many wins. BPIS: Melbourne, Carroll and Paget's Garthorne Olivia Grace of Melriding B/T M/Smooth with a most eye catching outline starting with her super head carriage, arched neck and lovely topline and body shape. Nicely formed pro-sternum for age, correct shoulder angles, good ribbing, gentle underline, neat quarters, good bone and feet, didn't put a foot wrong at all angles, excellent coat and body condition, super temperament. RBPIS: Robert's Ralines Rob Roy to Denver S/Cream M/Long, a beauty starting with a most beautiful head and dark almond eye. Under his correct coat and fringing was a well formed body with neat shoulder and elbow placement. Bone, ribbing and hindquarters all good, flowed around the ring with reachy stride and follow through. These were two cracking puppies of whom I am sure we will hear more.
