Lancashire and Cheshire 2008

BEST IN SHOW

I had the privilege of judging BIS at the above show, my first opportunity to judge this award at this level. My thanks to the very committed Club officers and members for their kind hospitality. I gave the top award to the Mini S/h bitch Coxon's, Ch. DGolden Delicious. This red fits the standard so well as regards front and hind angulation and the breed specific points. Her overall balance in profile was spot on with her lovely reach of neck and height to length proportions. As far as movement was concerned she never put a foot wrong and her temperament was proved to be unquestionably very sound. RBIS was from of the Varieties without CC's the S/h bitch Rawson's, Rosenket Krystal Singer. This b/t still has a little maturing to do, but has lots of promise. She satisfied me more as regards body conformation, balance and condition than the other exhibits. Covered the ground well on the move. I had some promising puppies in their line up. I chose as BPIS the male H/h Derry 's, Abbydac Parsley with Andlouis. This brindle has a balanced head, masculine but still refined, dark eye and typical expression. His prosternum is correctly developed for his age. The rest of his conformation was pleasing including coat texture and he moved correctly with plenty of verve. RBPIS was the Mini L/h bitch. Gleeson's, Abydachs Absolution. A delightful b/t who excelled in movement and was in lovely body and coat condition.
