WIREHAIRED

Not having judged this breed for a while, I was pleased with those shown here. Size was pleasing, breeders having concentrated on this aspect without losing bone and substance. Movement in some was not so good, this not being the winter, there is no excuse for soft condition. Temperament was superb, all were their happy extrovert self. Thank you for such a lovely entry.

MPD(4) A lovely class of babies, all enjoying themselves. 1 Rees’ Ermewood Joint Effort. Balanced head with good eye and leathers, well placed shoulders, good topline standing and moving, tight feet, rear angulation good, strode out well in all directions. 2 Edwards andLavin’s Swincombes Darite. Close to 1, with gentle eye, good dentition, not so good on movement today but being a baby will settle, beautiful coat and condition. 3 Locksmith’s Abbeydac Barley, so enjoyed himself, handled very sympathetically, lots to like.

PD
(2) 1 Skinner’s Ritterburg the Magician, BPD and BPIB. Very elegant young boy, moving so well, balanced head with gentle eye, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, strong level topline kept on the move, strong rear angulation with tight feet, strong rear movement won him BPIB, but a close decision. 2 Edwards andLavin’s Swincombes Darite.

JD
(5,1) A good class. 1 Skinner’s Ritterburg the Magician. 2 Dible’s Liebling Storming Norman. Lovely red with tight coat, balanced head, level topline, moving into strong rear, his hard condition is to be congratulated. 3 Patton’s Lesandnic Larsson. What a coat, so important for the breed, good eye and head and moving well, strong topline standing and moving.

PGD
(2) 1 Edwards andLavin’s Nosinllor Fusilier. Pleasing head into good shoulders, kept level topline standing and moving, strong body with good ribbing, in good hard condition, super coat and well presented. 2 Kent andDible’s Monisi On The Town. Similar in type to 1 but needs to strengthen up.

LD
(7,3) A good class. 1 McCalmont’s Silvae Patriot. Beautiful head into strong reach of neck, good ribbing and correct loin, level topline into strong rear, most excellent of conditions, could work all day. 2 Vine’s Cishelvine Seawell. Close to 1, so well presented and could change places any day. 3 Pearce’s Schutzenwald Tommy Tucker of Demorner. In his undercoat, lots to like, when he settles should offer a challenge.

OD
(4,1) A superb class. A delight to judge. 1 Moore’s Ch Aventine Rainman at Romanchi JW, DCC and BOB. One I have judged before and did not disappoint today, strong head with gentle eye, good neck into well balanced shoulders, level topline into strong loin and rear, coat tight, strong tight feet, moved with drive, so well handled. 2 North-Row’s Ir Ch Barmaud Jacob. RCC. Another good specimen of the breed shown in hard condition, beautiful head and dark almond eye, moved out well with good rear angulation and in superb coat. 3 Phillips’ Tendrow Special Format. Lots to like with good head and shoulders, tightest coat and feet, moving out well.

MPB(5,1) 1 Moore’s Molloney Ann Other at Romanchi. A lovely baby who just needs to settle on the move, balanced head with correct leathers, gentle eye, good shouldlers, level topline into strong rear, tightest of feet, once settled should challenge the best. 2 Locksmith’s Abbeydac Rosemary. A lovely girl, pretty head, good front and shoulders, balanced topline, good rear angulated, tight coat, needs to settle with handler. 3 Mease’s Weaverwires Florin. B/tan, coat should tighten, well handled and shown.

PB
(3,1) 1 Phillips’ Tendrow Poetic Justice. BPB and RCC. Balanced head with good leathers and good forechest for a puppy, kept topline on the move, correct ribbing and loin into well angulated rear, harshest of coats, moved the stops in the challenge, pleased to award her the RCC. 2 Moore’s Molloney Ann Other at Romanchi.

JB
(7,1) Strong class. 1 Gibson’s Allfreys Grace Kelly. Good head with correct almond eye into well laid shoulders, strong body with topline kept, going and coming, well angulated rear, well muscled, of lovely correct size with good coat. 2 Seath’s Sunsong Gypsy Music. Close to 1. Same comments apply but fidgety today. 3 Patton’s Lesandnic Strike Up the Band. The coats produced by this kennel are to be congratulated, sound mover with well muscled body.

PGB
(7,2) 1 Seath’s Sunsong Gypsy Rose. Pleasing head and expression with good eye and correct leathers into well laid shoulders, level topline on the move into strong body with good rear quarters, coat surprised me, was strong wire. 2 Vine’s Fem Fatale Among Cishelvine. Larger cast than first with pleasing head and expression, good forechest and underline into strong rear, well handled and shown. 3 Watson’s Quitrutec Somehow Here at Toftwick. Good front and strong rear, harshest of coats.

LB
(7,1) An excellent class. 1 Rollinson’s Nosinllor Joan of Arc. BCC. My surprise of the day. Believe this makes her up, congratulations. Feminine head, good leathers into the most elegant neck and shoulders, long ribbing and correct loin, well angulated rear, feet tight and strong, most superb coat, shown in hard condition, coat to be envied, well handled. 2 Phillips’ Tendrow Special Formula. Unlucky to meet 1, so much to like about her and very typical of this kennel being shown in hard condition, well balanced and with good muscle, harsh coat and moving with strong drive. 3 Coverley’s Aventine Vanilla Sky. Really enjoying her day out, showed what movement should be.

OB
(8) A strong class with varied exhibits. North-Row’s Ir Ch Barmaud Jessica. Compact with balanced head, well placed shoulders, strong body and rear and well angulated, kept good topline on the move, not enjoying this hall. 2 Moore’s Ch Aventine Minority Report at Romanchi JW. Same comments apply. Beautiful head, so very feminine, a worthy champion, not enjoying the conditions. 3 Gibson’s Allfreys Ursula. Another well balanced girl with good head into tightest shoulders, level topline coming and going, shown in hard condition and well handled.
