WIRE HAIRED

I have not judged my breed for almost ten years and I find that it has not made many gigantic steps in the overall quality even with outside influences. We still have shoulder problems  which in many cases I found that I could not even find a final placement at the base of the neck, this does not fair well for this lovely breed.Where has the front keel construction and hammy quarters that the standard asks for gone which is such an important feature of this lovely breed.  Coats on the whole have improved tremendously.I did find my principal winners were worthy of their placings, and that we still have the execellent temperament that is attributed to this breed.

PD
(4) 1 Moores  Aventine Rainman Larger type brindle dog with a good coat well off for bone and substance and very mature. Nice masculine head on a strong neck, well placed shoulders.strong quarters giving a very positive driving movement, inwhich he held his topline at all times.BP 2 Bugby  Rue Prince  Smaller type than 1, nice depth of keel  and ribbing far back, good top line needs to firm up. 3 Atahira Bags of Blue at Kindeace

JD(4)  1 Edges’ Schutzenwald Bugsy Malone Nice coated brindle, super head with nice dark eyes, good keel which swept well back good strong well placed shoulders and a level top line.Would prefer a little more length, but he was well balanced. Moved with a positive drive albeit a little erractic in places. 2 Lever Reveldown Glenmorangie Nice coated brindle well developed keel nice length good bone .Top line not so solid although movement was ok, preferred the maturity of  1 3 Vines Chiselvine Seaswell.

PGD (9)  1 Edges’ Schutzenwald Bugsey Malone. 2 Bystock Skye Walker at Menigma Nice brindle coat   good head on a long neck very deep keel  good shoulders however just a little short in body gave way to a cut-up underline which spoilt his overall picture. Although strong driving movement was apparent,in his eagerness to move it caused him to become very erratic. 3 Davison Lesandnic Landing Light.

LD(7)  1 Bormans  Sonic Pickpocket Lovely brindle dog with a good masculine head, on well developed shoulders. Adequate keel and a nice follow through. Good strong ribbing. Top line held level on the move Well balanced. Movement was positive, but he does come with a slightly wider front movement than I prefer. RDCC  2 McCalmont  Silvae Patriot  Similar type dog to 1 nice head, carrying more weight than 1 slightly longer in body length, would like more reach of neck, good coated well off for bone moved soundly but slightly erratic at the rear 3 Phillips’Tendrow Special Edition.

OD
(4)  1 McCalmonts Silvae Pioneer   Very powerful dog, with grace and style although one of the bigger types, he  is very elegant with strong bone,Agood dark coat. A very masculine head  good dark eye, well set on strong shouders, good depth of keel with a nice long follow-through. Well angulated ,strong quarters with a terrific positive drive that I am sure he could keep going all day long. In profile he was long and low to ground and moved majesticallyI would have preferred a lower tail set however this small minor fault would not stop him doing a days work.Pleased to award him the  CC and BoB. 2 Rollinsons Ch  & Ir. Ch Nosinllor Grenadier Sh. CM  Well coated brindle dog with good bone and substance.Masculin head on strong shoulders and a strong neck. Good keel going well back, level top line Strong quarters. Well angulated moved with drive better off for the recent weight loss. 4 Moores’ Ch & Ir.Ch & Am Raydachs Tom Cruisen On

PB
(9)  1 Rollinsons  Nosinllor Joan of Arc. Super young quality bitch, well coated dark brindle, well off for length good feminine head lovely dark eye long neck on strong shoulders nice depth of keel with ribbing well back. Strong top line which was kept on the move and well rounded  quarters  Well balanced when driving along, with a nice steady gate, and being  low to ground gave a lovely hound type silhouette, so sound for one so young RCC 2 Bormans  Sonic Water Lily Another very typy bitch a lot of the above points apply to this bitch also however she was not as low to ground and did lose her top line on the move. Needs to tighten up all round. 3 Moores Aventine Minority Report.

JB
(9)  1 Poulters Lankelly Eloquent Rose Nice coated brindle of the smaller type (some are getting rather large) Nice feminine head  with a good eye good reach of neck into  well placed shoulders Level top line  good spring of rib and her strong quarters drove her round the ring (just wish she would keep her head up on the move). 2 Lever’s Reveldown Glengarioch Larger type bitch than 1 Good coat  nice head on a strong neck. Good depth of keel, level top line moved o.k but quarters need to stengthen. 3 Birchman Freebooter.

PGB
(7)  1  Vines’ Cishelvine Ocean Dream . Good coated bitch long low and level as they should be,nice feminine head good strong shoulders Level top line  kept whilst on the move Well let down quarters which she used with drive. 2  Speaks’ Rodnan Cassandras, Girl   Well coated bitch with a nice head Shoulders were much heavier in appearance than 1. Moved well with drive 3 Mes-Jones & Bates Derochaise Picardie

LB(12)  1 Pugh & Frazers’ Bystock Pumkin Pie Well coated brindle I have watched with interest for some time. Elogant mover with a lovely gate which makes her look as though she is floating over the ground. Some times she is spoiled by going to fast, however today she was in the right mode.Lovely length gave her balance and a strong top line and underline kept her looking a picture. Feminine head  nice shoulders good spring of ribbing all good attributes which maintain the quality of this bitch. C.C. 2 Phillips’ Tendrow ‘o’ Sooo Special  Quality brindle bitch of good coat, good head and dark eye.Strong neck into well placed shoulders.Well off for bone, nice quarters but her movement was not as positive as 1 3 Higgotts’Soneve Phoebe of Elaton

OB
(7) 1 McCalmonts’  Silvae American Beauty  Lovely elgant brindle bitch in good coat nice feminine head, good eye  strong neck. Well placed shoulders adequate depth of keel and a good spring of ribbing.Top line held well on the move, strong quarters gave plenty of drive. 2 Davies’ Cempsey Centime by Atahira Larger type than 1 well coated brindle Strong feminine head with a dark eye good strong shoulders well off for bone good depth of keel moved with plenty of drive but lost her top line, even on the stack. 3 Ch. Lankelly Kelsey Rose Sh.CM
