WIRE HAIRED

It was an honour to judge this lovely breed and to award CCs for the first time. Such a lovely entry meant that many good dogs had to go without cards and could easily change places on another occasion. Thank you all for accepting my decisions so sportingly.

PD. (4). 1. Pinkerton’s, Bystock Skye Walker at Menigma. What a super little chap, already very mature, sporting a good harsh coat. Lovely profile and everything in proportion. Masculine head, good trim, strong neck. Well angulated hindquarters and really strode out on the move. Well deserved BPD and BPIB. 2. Dible’s, Leibling Walking on Water. Another nice puppy but a real baby, and a little fidget to handle. I’m sure he will balance up nicely when he’s reached maturity. Good topline, Nice length and strong hindquarters already in place. Particularly liked his strong neck and proud head carriage. 3. Gibson’s, Allfreys Balthasar.

JD. (1). 1. McCalmont’s, Silvae Patriot. What a shame he was on his won, but he certainly deserved this place. Not long out of puppy and a lovely size. Super harsh coat and good bone. Nice head, strong neck in good shoulders. Good topline and underline finished off with strong hind end. Equally good front assembly with well tucked elbows. Flowing mover.

PGD. (4). 1. Castle’s, Silandajo Mr Ferguson. Nice size, happy chap. Lovely profile, good coat. Masculine head, elegant strong neck in good shoulders. Lovely front, plenty of ribbing, good length and hind angulation. Lovely profile mover. A little close behind going away and a real handful to show. 2. Bate’s, Llankelly Timothy Grass at Kharmina. Shorter in body but another quality dog. Well balanced and handled well. Lovely front assembly, well tucked elbows and flowing underline. Good hind end just a little over angulated but strode out well; on the move. 3. Brown’s, Merlanrose Rhapsody.

LD. (7). 1. Moore’s, Romanchi Carrier. Liked the size of this one. Nicely balanced. Lovely head, eye and trim. Good forechest flowing into a lovely underline, well filled chest and strong hindquarters which he used well on the move. Topline a little roachy standing, but levelled out on the move. 2. Glanville Biggs’, Silvae Onyx at Brimarville. Nice typy dog. Preferred length of winner. Nice head and furnishings. Good ribbing and depth. Strong front, hind end ran up slightly but levelled out when he moved. 3. Davies’, Atahara Bags the Blue.

OD. (8). 1. Dible’s, Leibling Here Comes the Boss. What a super dog. Correct in all departments for me. Lovely harsh coat, super trims, an ideal size and absolutely flowed around the ring. Proud head and neck in super shoulders, flowed into lovely topline and underline. Equally good hind end. Typically long and low, very masculine and my DCC winner. I really was splitting hairs in the final challenge. 2. Moore’s, Ch. Romanchi Beaver. I really was spoilt for choice in this class, but his quality shone throughout. Totally different type to winner, but typical of this kennel. Strong proudly held head, neck and keel, all flowing into a well filled body and shapely, strong hind end. Another who excelled on the move and delighted to give him RCC. 3. McCalmont’s, Ch. Silvae Pickwick.

PB. (5). 1. Rowe’s, Boloria Just a Dream. A nice puppy, quite large for her 6 months and very mature. Her lovely flowing lines won her this class. Nice head, strong shapely neck in good shoulders. Plenty of fill in front and good underline. Liked her hind quarters too. Difficult to assess her movement as she was having such a good time playing about, but what I could see looked ok. Lots of promise. BPB. 2. Gibson’s, Allfreys Ursula. Different type to winner, more immature, smaller and not as long in trunk. Sweet head, good trim already in place. Nice front and lay of shoulder, flowing into a good topline and well rounded hindquarters. Moved with purpose. 3. Kent’s, Liebling Star Attraction.

JB. (6). 1. Sexton and Knight’s, Cloudside Rheanee at Molloney. This young lady absolutely flowed round the ring. Longer and leaner in body and slightly narrow in front. Harsh coat, pretty head, lovely shoulder and strong hind angulation. Overall a very balanced picture and was obviously enjoying her day out. 2. Clifford’s, Ritterburg Rose Adagio with Ablebody. Very feminine but carrying a little too much weight on the day. Well balanced, good head and oval chest. Nice topline and underline. On the move she had a proud head and lovely neck. Good length and strode out well. 3. Lever’s, Hertsmerry Shardonnay.

PGB. (5). 1. Phillips’, Saxonbury Playday at Tendrow. Nice bitch. A little over excited on the table, but in good condition with strong flowing neck and feminine head with good trim. Excellent front, deep chest and plenty of ribbing. Running her topline up very slightly, but well filled and strong hindquarters helped to overcome this on the move. 2. Clifford’s, Ritterburg Rose Adagio with Ablebody. 3. Paskins’, Soneve Prudence at Kindeace.

LB. (8). 1. Kent’s, Leibling Sweet Charity. I really liked this young lady. Very feminine and particularly loved her proud head and trim and strong elegant neck flowing into her lovely topline. Prominent forechest, well sprung rib and well tucked elbows balanced well with strong hindquarters. Moved so well in all directions and pleased to give her RCC. 2. Moore’s, Romanchi Chicadora. Dogs from this kennel certainly run to type. Super bone, proud head, long strong neck flowing into a lovely topline finished off with the powerhouse hind end. Flowing more, but for me she had a little too much length. She is a young bitch and I’m sure will do well. 3. Phillips’, Saxonbury Playtime at Tendrow.

OB. (10). 1. Patton’s, Ch. Lesandnic Like a Butterfly JW. This one came in the ring and took over. She flowed round with so much confidence, I felt sure she would be a pleasure to go over. I wasn’t disappointed. Feminine and so sound throughout, super proud head, elegant strong neck flowing into that lovely topline. Correct deep oval chest, elbows well tucked in and equally good rear end. So nice watching trying so hard to please her owner and enjoying her day out too. Delighted to give her the CC and the added sparkle also earned her BOB. 2. Poulter and McDonald’s, Ch. Llankelly Kelsey Rose Sh CM. Another super bitch smaller mould than winner, but just as shapely. Lovely head and trim. Slightly shorter in neck but super shoulders with flowing topline and underline, rounded off nicely by a well developed and muscular hind end. Moved so well and handled expertly. 3. McCalmont’s, Ch. Silvae Picnic.
