I felt it a great honour to have such lovely animals shown under me and am sure quite a few will go far and gain their titles. Temperaments were superb only one shy baby, feet are better than some of the other coats and heads very good, I felt the dogs shown under me on the day were the most typical of the true Dachshund type than many in the other varieties. Length of ribbing and coat type to be especially congratulated and how great to see the true dark almond eye.

PD (3) 1 Skinner’s Ritterburg Lord of the Ring, a very promising well made 9 months, good coat, ribbing, correct head carried on archy neck, moved well, correct feet, one I’ll watch with interest, BP. 2 Patton’s Lesandnic Limestone Lad, another very nice baby, 6mths, good ribbing, front and head movement, ot so true as 1.

JD (2) 1 Metcalfe’s Tagund Naght Matty Doolin, a lovely 17 months dog, very good all round, good coat, correct head and reachy neck, super front and shoulders, true dachshund feet, should have a very promising future.

PGD (3) 1 Phillips’ Tendrow Jasper, nicely made do with good ribbing front, head and neck, good quality coat, moved well keeping topline. 2 Roberts’ Perikles Knight of the Eagle, another quality exhibit, lovely head, ribbing, super front, good feet, moved well coming and going. 3 Borman’s Sonic Sir Galahad.

LD (5) 1 Locksmith’s Abbeydac Cavalier, this dog appealed to me as soon as I saw him move with the others, on the table he confirmed what I saw, strong body with good length of ribbing, super front, head, neck and feet, I was pleased to award him the CC. 2 Carter’s Romanchi Chenalis at Boglands, a nicely made dog with much to like about him, good front, head and moved soundly but not the length of ribbing of 1. 3 Phillips’ Wells Sea Breeze at Tendrow.

OD (8) 1 Johnstone’s Silvae Touchstone, my notes say super dog and this means correct body and ribs, good head, neck and front, this dog and my CC winner are a credit to the breed, Res CC. 2 Moore’s Ch/Ir Ch Romanchi Comanche, another very nice dog with so many qualities, all I look for in my winners, however I preferred the length of ribbing of 1. 3 Speak’s Caligari Rodnan Royal Zinc.

PB (5) 1 Johnson’s Sumojo Show Business, very nice 10 months, good front head and reach of neck and ribbing, correct coat, moved freely and strongly. 2 Patton’s Lesandic Lizzy the Lizzard, a 6 months baby with lots to like about her, she just needs time. 3 Higgott’s Sonic Starstruck for Elaton.

JB (5) 1 Derry’s Ritterburg Lady Guinivere at Andlouis, my notes say nice all respects, super body and ribbing, good front and head, correct coat, moved very well.

PGB (2) 1 Ryder’s Sonic Knight Sky to Jaskar, a nice exhibit with good head, front ribbing, correct coat, kept topline when moving. 2 Mitchell’s Wicked Dolly Girl, a nicely balanced bitch free mover but not the coat of 1.

LB (4) 1 Clifford’s Ablebody Operetta, a super red bitch, excellent ribbing, good front, head and neck harsh coat moved well and soundly. 2 Moore’s Romanchi Tagish, another well made with good ribbing, front and head, good coat, when moving went a little close behind. 3 Ferguson’s Allfreys Rain Bow.

OB (6) 1 Johnstone’s Silvae Picnic, what a lovely class and to find such an ideal winner, super all round with great front, head carriage, length of ribbing and strong hindquarters, great coat, moved like a dream keeping topline, CC and BOB. 2 Poulter’s Ch lankelly Black Bryony, to have to choose between 1 and this lovely girl was a hard job, so much to like about this grand bitch, great in all respects what more can I add, Res CC. 3 Gordon’s Silvae Gemstone at Cempsey.
