Since I last judged Smooths, I am pleased to say that they have greatly improved both in construction and temperament, mouths were good in most exhibits and rear ends are nice and well rounded, hammy quarters are back, well done folks, lovely to see. Movement overall was good. Very pleased to see my BOB shortlisted in the Group.
PD (4) 1 Seago & Gibbard's Amlida Spirit. Handsome young dog with a masculine head in a rich chocolate jacket, good sound front with plenty of width between front legs of good length, good spring of rib, clean underline, well made rear, well muscled which showed in his movement. 2 Hunt's Carpaccio Trouble In Store. Another nice dog in the making, excellent front and shoulders, good height length ratio, just needs to strengthen behind, very close decision. More to give and only time can do that. 3 Graham's Morailsa Return To Sender To Gameron. JD (2) 1 Tite's Phaeland Special Driver At Rijobeau. Very nice red dog with houndy head, well arched neck, well made front, well sprung ribbing, going well back, good in bone, nice to see, good strong rear with nice turn of stifle, stands four square, well muscled, obviously well exercised, moved well with drive and purpose. Pleased to award him RCC. 2 Hone's Pachego Compare The Market With Oxondachs. Black and tan dog with good head and eye, lovely mouth, good reach of neck, plenty of front, a little weak behind at present, needs time.
PGD (2) 1 Jeffery's Carpaccio Swan Song At Andax. Conical head, well set on ears, good depth of muzzle, well arched neck, plenty of front and ribbing, good length height ratio, well made rear, he has inherited from his sire, moved out well. 2 Starkey's Carpaccio Topic Of The Day Is Hamoura. Choc and tan with good head and eye, good ear set, reachy neck, clean underline, not so strong in quarters as some and moved a little close behind.
LD (3) 1 Tite's Rijobeau Hot On Ya Heels. Well put together all through, strong rear, very straight moving, coming and going, good length, not overdone, very happy dog, pleased to award him first place. 2 Norton's Matzell Man Of The Match. Another lovely dog with good head and eye, long neck leading into well placed shoulders, good front, not as straight in movement as first and a tad narrow behind. 3 Graham's Gameron Simply Red.
OD (6, 1) 1 Higgins' Ch Leveliss Saucy Sailor. I have liked this dog since I first saw him as a puppy, ticks all the boxes for me, excellent in head and eye, good strong teeth, well made front, good width through front legs, well sprung ribs, ample bone, level topline, clean underline, excellent rear which he uses to his advantage, moves with ease. A credit to his breeder. Delighted to award him CC. 2 Armstrong's Lauralee Nicholas Nickleby. Another lovely dog of the original type, strong, masculine head, dark eye, well rounded front, enough neck, good in shoulder, ample bone, good strong hammy quarters. Moved well and true. 3 MacDonald's Multi Ch Bensarka Phoenix Sun.
PB (3) 1 Smith, Connor & Sorrell's Lady Godiva Vd Mibaf's Hoeve At Conchur (Imp). Dapple bitch, feminine head, lovely expression, kind eyes, reachy neck, tight shoulders, level topline, clean legs, well made rear with a good turn of stifle. What I really liked about this young lady was her hind movement, it was a pleasure to see her move. I wish her well. Best PB. 2 Alton's Kiersha Futures Dream. Black and tan bitch, very much a baby, nice size, lots to like, more to give, movement was very erratic and was hard to assess, she just needs time.  3 Simanaviciene's Excellmagic Dessala Delore.
JB (8) 1 MacDonald's Bensarka Sarabi. Lovely rich red bitch with good head and eye, well placed shoulders and a really well made rear, moved with enough width fore and aft, no narrowness here. 2 Bennett's Shardaroba Dream Baby. Red bitch with a good head and eye, excellent front and shoulder, ribbing going well back, good rear assembly. Hard decision for first and second. 3 Paterson & Paterson's Phaeland Sent Direct To Ambiesque.
PGB (3) 1 Hone's Oxondachs Candy Girl. Red bitch of quality, good in head, eye and front, good depth of keel. What I especially liked was her rear, glad to see they are returning. Moved with drive and purpose. RCC. 2 Marsh's Marshwick Harmony. Black and tan bitch with a good reach of neck, good prosternum, level topline kept on the move, nice hammy quarters, clean underline, moved out well fore and aft. 3 Lovick-Gibbs' Roleta The Lewis Goodbye.
LB (3) 1 Armstrong's Lauralee Lush Lashes. Clear red bitch, nice head and eye, good reach of neck, good bone, she was a bit erratic on the move and lost her topline but regained it on the stack. Just needs to settle, lots to like. 2 Lovick-Gibbs' Cameron In Kahoots With Roleta. Red bitch with a good reach of neck, good shoulder placement, level topline, good underline, moved ok. 3 Raggett's Silandajo Red Hotter At Dansila.
OB (5) 1 Hunt's Ch Sontag Shanda Leah JW. Red bitch I have liked since I first saw her, she has a lovely head and expression, excellent in front, shoulders and ribbing, level topline and clean underline. Super hammy quarters and she knows how to use them. Drives well from behind. She is a credit to her breeder, the late Edna Cooper, and her now owner who has worked hard with her to get her where she is today. Delighted to award her BCC and BOB. 2 Norton's Ch Matzell Maid In Time. Another lovely bitch of quality, well made all through, looks lovely on the stack. I just preferred the movement of first today. Close decision. 3 Higgins' Leveliss Drink Down The Moon.
