Thank you very much to the committee for inviting me to judge at this very well run and welcoming show. I enjoyed my day very much.

Verteran D/B (1)

1st. Mitchell’s Dubreys Dora The Explorer. 8 yo clear red girl who moved soundly holding her topline. Very good front end with prominent prosternum. Showed well.

MPD (2)

1st. Starkey’s Carpaccio Jasper from Hamoura. BPD

2nd. Bethel’s Bensarka Cosmopolitan to Hampdach.

Two quality puppies with lovely masculine heads. First’s topline was stronger and he was a little lower to ground giving a better balanced picture at this stage. 2nd was a little happy with his tail which made rear movement a bit erratic.

PD (1,0)

JD (4,2)

1st. Cooper’s Kochanas Celebration of Hacienda at Sontag (imp USA). Strongly boned boy going through the silly junior stage but moved very well with good rear drive holding his topline . Quality male who I’m sure will go far.

2nd. Trafford’s Dabrenhof Nadal. Unlucky to meet winner today. Very nice dog who’s topline is still a little soft and movement could be more positive.

ND (2) Repeat of JD

PGD (5,3)

1st. Starkey’s Cwmdarhian Through to Theo for Hampdach. Pleasing head. Sufficient angulation in front but better behind. Topline a little weak and feet could be better but moved ok.

2nd. Trafford’s Dabrenof Nadal.

LD (5,3)

1st Gatheral-Graham’s Phaeland Screwdriver. Rich red male with a superbe head, angulation fore and aft excellent as were his top and underlines. Plenty of strong bone. Would not like him any bigger and his movement although true could have shown more animation. Best Dog.

2nd. Norton’s Matzell Man of the Moment. A little smaller and cobbier.A little square in outline for me. Head could be more masculine with a slightly longer ear. Nevertheless a quality dog.

3rd. Furber’s Gameron Smart Choice to Dorysa.

OD (6,2)

1st. Hunt’s CH Cwmdarhian Hogan’s Hero at Carpaccio. B/T male with pleasing head. Correct front end. Good top and underline, however, a little happy with his tail making his rear movement today a tad erratic. Res best dog.

2nd Tite’s CH Rijobeau Caught Red Handed. A rich red who’s rear movement was better than 1. Not just as good coming towards me. Little too much stop on an otherwise pleasant head. Lovely temperament on the table and showed himself very well.

3rdLinacre’s Cavalleria Rusticana.

MPB (4,1)

1st. Burke’s Bonavoir Testa Rossa. Stood out in this class. Clear red with great bone and beautifully angled both fore and aft. Lovely happy temperament and moved very well coming and going. Best BP and BPIB.

2nd. Hunt’s Carpaccio Black Pearl. Feminine head Tail set a little high and feet could be tighter.

3rd. Furber’s Dorysa Dolly Varden.

PB (1,2)

1st Kerry’s Ralines Pretty Woman at Kireton. Stood alone but deserved her win. Rich chocolate with correct coat. Nice size with bone to match. Moved very well using her strong quarters to drive.

JB (2)

1st. Norton’s Matzell Maid in Time.

2nd. Dalgety’s Thundergay Bebop A Lula.

Both quality girls of very different type. Preferred the ground clearance of 1 but the rear end of 2. Both are well angulated with good toplines. Second not so settled as 1 who is bigger made all round. Quite sure they will change places on another day.

NB (0)

PGB (7,1)

1st. Bethel’s Hampdach Copperhead Rose. Very sound moving red girl of correct size. Lovely topline held on the move and a very pleasing sweeping underline.

2nd. Gatheral-Graham’s Phaeland Smooth ‘N’ Dark. Nice B/T but could show a little more ground clearance and I would have liked her movement to be more positive.

3rd. Burke’s Hampdach Cornelia with Bonavoir.

LB (5,2)

1st. Dalgety’s Blue Bayou. Elegant B/T of correct size and bone. Super oval front with correct angulation fore and aft. Strong topline held well. Sweeping underline. Very sound. Res BB

2nd. Gatheral-Graham’s Phaeland Special Duty. Different type. Carrying a little too much weight and could have a little more ground clearance. Beautiful head and strong rear moving well away with plenty of drive.

3rd. Turner’s Marictur Moulin Rouge.

OB (4,1)

1st. Norton’s CH Matzell Mildred.  Quality red girl of correct size and sufficient bone. Good oval front with correct angulation at both ends. Top and underlines correct. Very sound in all ways moving with reach and drive. Worthy champion. BB and BOB

2nd. Dalgety’s Thundergay Delta Dawn. Lots of similar comments to 1. Beautiful head. Just lost out to 1 as her keel is a tad shorter therefore underline not quite so sweeping.

3rd. Gatheral-Graham’s Rijobeau League of Honour.
