SMOOTH HAIRED

I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge at their championship show. Thank you also to the exhibitors for their entries and an extra thank you to whoever was in charge of the weather. I couldn’t have asked for a better entry. The quality of the mini smooths was excellent and I was spoiled for choice with my puppy class. The standard smooths though not as big an entry had some very nice dogs. Standard wires were disappointing especially on the move. Unfortunately I found dogs unfit to be shown with scabby crusty coats and dirty teeth. There were a few exhibits with flat feet and long nails.

P
1 Adnerb Storm Trooper Of Maryhazel. Lovely 9 month old dog puppy. I really liked this one. Beautiful head and eye, strong teeth. Good outline well bodied with good underline. He needs some ring training to settle him. Best Puppy and Reserve Best Dog.

G 1 Thundergay My Fair Lady. Good sized black/tan bitch nicely balanced with a good head, prominent breast bone good underline and just the right amount of weight allowing her to move well. 2 Rozenket Midsummer Magic Of Maryhazel. Black/tan bitch with a lovely head and eye. Good depth of brisket and underline but carrying too much weight. She was a bit unsettled on the move. Reserve Best Bitch.

L 1 Lauralee Coco Pops To Sontag. My best of breed. A lovely elegant chocolate bitch. Good head and neck length, well laid back shoulders, prominent breast bone not too much depth of keel giving a clean outline with enough ground clearance enabling her to glide around the ring. Best of Breed. 2 Thundergay Magdalena. Black/Tan bitch a bit on the heavy side for me which made her sluggish on the move. Head fine with good teeth. Would have liked more rear angulation.

OD 1 Thundergay Archduke. Black/tan with a good head and eye. Strong teeth. Not too heavy with a good outline. He moved and showed well. Best Dog.
