Thank you to Donna Kirkwood Emery and the committee for the invitation to judge, and the warm welcome extended to me on the day. Thank you for the kind donation towards my expenses which we agreed would be donated to my charity show. There were 8 Standard Smooth Dachshunds present, and 24 Standard Long Haired Dachshunds present. All dogs entered were in excellent condition and of sound temperament. I would like to particularly single out my steward for thanks, who was exceptional on the day. There were a few absentees, some elected not to show their dogs in the extreme heat of the afternoon, this being the second show of the day, I fully respected their decision to do so. I would like to thank every competitor for their entries and for allowing me the privilege of judging your beautiful dogs. Smooth Haired Dachshund Pd (1/1) 1 Jennings Marvale’s Manifesto at Jenivon. An 11 month old dog puppy, Good head, oval eye, nice length of neck, correct shoulders and pronounced keel, kept his topline and moved well. Also, Best Puppy and Best Dog. Jb (3) 1 Tomlinson Melisdax Memories of May. A lovely feminine black and tan bitch, pleasing and correct head and eye, good keel, had correct body proportions throughout. Correct hind quarters and a lovely curve of stifle, moved soundly and drove better than 2. 2 Lucas Tramardachs Booty Licious. A pretty red bitch with a lot to like, good head and eye, correct proportions. Moved well, was unlucky to meet 1 today. 3 Balfour, Clentry Mango Passion Pgb (1) 1 Tomlinson S. E. Melisdax Magnolia in May. Very pretty 13 month old shaded red, Good head and expression with lovely dark eye. Good keel, correct shoulders, good hindquarters, moved with true alignment. Ob (3,4) First and second were red quality girls just different types, just preferred the proportions on the first. 1st Jennings J, Clentry Sweet Melody. Lovely head with correct eye, Nice keel, good proportions throughout with correct angles. kept her outline shape on the move. 2 Tomlinson S. E. Bensarka Emerald Isle to Melidax. Again, a nice but deeper chested girl, good head, correct eye, pleasing type, correct in shoulder, good proportions, slightly less hind angles than 1. Best Bitch Clentry Sweet Melody. Best Reserve Bitch Melisdax Magnolia in May. Best of Breed Clentry Sweet Melody. Best Opposite Sex Marvale’s Manifesto at Jenivon. Best Puppy in Breed Marvale’s Manifesto at Jenivon. Long Haired Dachshund Vet (3,4) A strong class and was splitting hairs between 1 and 2. 1st Garlick E, Ranglewood Arashi. A lovely shaded red, 10 years old, almond eye, good shaped head, perfect dentition. Good proportions throughout, correct in shoulder. Good angles and moved freely. 2n Melminds Zsylvester ShCM, another shaded red, lovely dark eye, nice proportions, just preferred 1 on the day. Correct shoulders, nice hind angles and went well on the move. 2 very nice dogs. 3 Bearley, D. Labbadax Eyecatching Shadow at Xanadax. Jd (1,2)1 Cavallibrook Final Legacy at Maudaxi. Lovely proportioned young male, Lovely head with correct eye, good shoulders, nice overline, good hind angles, held their shape well on the move.

Lovely head, nice length of neck, correct shoulders, good length of ribbing, true in front and rear movement, well coated. Od (2) 1 Geeson E.H. Ch Abydachs Return of the Night. A shaded red 2 year old. Well proportioned with a lovely head and expression, Correct shoulders, good keel and well balanced, lovely lines and very pleasing to the eye. Moved well. Also Best Dog & Beso Opposite Sex. 2 Garlick E. Ranglewood Harvest Song. A 6 year old black male, proportions good, correct head and dark eye, shoulders and overline fine. Tue movement away and behind, kept his topline on the move. Best Dog Ch Abydachs Return of the Night. Reserve Best Dog Cavallibrook Final Legacy at Maudaxi Pb (4/6) 2 very different types, both nice pups but need time to mature. 1st Chapman M. Melminds Up On The Catwalk. A shaded red, very much a puppy but very well-schooled. Nice feminine head and overline, correct shoulders. 2nd Garlick E. Ranglewood Heilen. A black and tan feminine girl pup with a lovely overline, nice head and expression with a good front. Jb (2,3) 1st Hanney-Mitchell F. Cavallibrook Final Fling Bronia. A shaded red feminine girl with beautiful proportions. Lovely head and expression, correct eye, Nice to see lovely length of neck, correct shoulder, good ribbing, gorgeous overline which she held perfectly on the move. Also Best bitch and BOB. 2 Garlick E. Kyrenia Queens Request With Ranglewood. Slightly darker shaded red, Head and shoulders correct, moved well and drove from behind, unlucky to come up against 1. Pgb (4) 1 Whitfield Roberts, Swansford Patriciadora. A shaded red girl with lovely proportions., still young at only 13 months, lovely length of neck and good head. Nice overline which she held on the move. Reserve Best Bitch.

2 Chapman M. Melminds Meryl Streep. A very feminine bitch, larger type than 1. Good head, correct eye, lovely overline which they held on the move. True front and behind. Just preferred 1 on the day. Lb (5) 1 Dare C. Darsoms Zendra. A shaded red girl, lovely head and expression, correct eye, correct shoulders, well pronounced keel and nice in front. Good pleasing overline, loin and hindquarters. Moved well. 2 Chapman M. Melminds Make Them Gold, A pleasing shaded red girl, nice type, good head, not as pronounced in the front as 1. Good topline which she held on the move. Unlucky to meet 1 today. A strong class. Ob (1,2) 1 Chapman’s Melminds Maybelline. Lovely bitch, nice head, correct proportions, lovely length of neck. Nice pronounced keel.
