P D/B. 1st Burley & Ways Swansford Almadora. 11month old red bitch, with a very pretty head, dark, correct almond shaped eyes, well shaped ear leathers and a good bite with large teeth. A sufficient length of neck is set into a good lay of shoulder and return of upper arm, and she has enough width in front with a good keel. A strong topline for her age, though she does tend to drop into her hocks when bored. Moved out well with power and style, though her tail carriage is bordering on too high at some points. Still all that said, a very attractive bitch. Bp & BB

2ND; Reid’s Cavillibrook Final Legacy at Maudaxi. 6 month puppy giving alot away in maturity today. Lovely head with dark almond eyes and good leathers of sufficient length, along with a good bite with strong teeth. He scores in neck over 1, set into a good lay of shoulder and return, he has a well filled front and elbows carried tight to the chest. His topline whilst level in stance, is just a little roached while moving today, though im sure he will grow out of this. A nicely angled hind end with well let down hocks complete the picture, however he is standing a little cow hocked at present. Lovely and free on the move.

J D/B. 1st; Burley & Way’s Swansford Archerdor. Shaded red dog who is a touch strong in head for my personal taste, however he has a lovely eye, good pigment and an excellent bite with large teeth. A well laid shoulder and return of upper arm and a good keel, but he is a bit narrow in front in stance at the moment. His topline is ok on the table but he has a habit of dropping behind the shoulder on the move. Well muscled rear with broad strong hocks, just a bit cow hocked, though he is still young.

PGD/B 1st; Rees’ Sundayshill Blackberry. Black and Tan with a lovely head, dark well shaped eye, good leathers and correct bite. An excellent length of neck is set into good shoulders and upper arm. Unfortunately he stands a bit narrow in front for me, but he has a decent keel. A bang on topline with excellent tail set leads to a well angled hind end with well let down strong hocks, he moves soundly but was beaten for top honours by dogs with a bit more verve.

2nd; Wedge’s Dolan Dock of the bay. 3 yo red dog, with a nicely shaped head, good pigment, leathers and bite. A nicely shaped neck is set into a good shoulder, but his upper arm isnt quite as good as 1, topline is good both in stance and held correctly on the move. Well angled behind, but a little narrow, both in stance and when moving.

3rd; Negus’ Tarramist Vesper Lynd.

OD 1st; Price & Carters Zarcrest George Clooney. Fully mature 5yo red dog presented in excellent bloom. Strong head, with beautiful dark eye and well shaped leathers, good pigment and a correct full bite of large teeth. A good length of neck leads to a well laid shoulder and return of upper arm with good width between his legs and a decent keel. Elbows held tightly to a well srung rib cage, his topline is strong and level with a good tailset, and his hind end is well angled and powerful. He moved out soundly and with some style, BD & B O B

2nd; Roberts’ Ch Swansford Gregorydor, a very attractive 2yo male giving alot away in maturity. A nicer head than 1, with an excellent bite and good leathers, a well shaped neck is set into a great shoulder and return of upper arm, with a good keel and tight elbows. A level topline leads to a good set on of tail, and a well angled hind end with strong broad hocks. Unfortunately he has a tendency to crouch when stacked which rather spoils his otherwise lovely outline. He was probably the best mover of the day striding out with power and drive. Unlucky to meet 1. Res BD.

3rd; Wedge’s Dolan Johnny be good.

OB 1st; Wedge’s Foulksfollie Miss Miniver at Dolans. A 5yo mature bitch in full bloom. A nice head with good planes and a nice dark eye, sufficient leather and a correct bite with good sized teeth. A nice neck is set into an excellent front with enough keel and width between the forelegs. She has a good depth of rib cage and a strong level topline leading to a correct tail set and well angled hind end with broad hocks. Moved soundly, would have just liked a little more animation for the top spot. Res BB.
