Minor Puppy Dog – No Entries

Puppy Dog – 3 entries  (1 absent)

1.       Dare’s Larkhund Black Panther Darsoms (IKC) – What a lovely young black and tan dog this is, having seen him ringside recently I was delighted to get my hands on him and he didn’t disappoint. Lovely masculine head on a lengthy neck giving him the elegance I prefer. Good shoulders and return of upper arm, good length of ribbing and short loin. Neat rear which he used to power round the ring. He has the correct height to length proportions and ground clearance. Full of himself just as a puppy should be which gives him such ring presence. Covered the ground with ease with long strides and true coming and going. Loved him and couldn’t deny him the CC and BOB. BPIB. Delighted to see him shortlisted in the Puppy Group.

2.       Johnson & Cross’ Africandawns Myles Long – Another good black and tan male, lower to the ground than 1 and doesn’t have the elegance in head but well-constructed and has lovely rear angulation which he uses well to drive from behind. In excellent coat and condition.

Junior Dog – No Entries

Post Graduate Dog – 4 entries

1.       Johnson & Cross’ Africandawns Night Trooper – Elegant shaded red with an excellent head and length of neck. Well laid shoulder but would prefer a longer upper arm. Correct topline which he holds at all times. Moves well covering plenty of ground.

2.       Garlick’s Ranglewood Harvest Song – Good sized black and tan male in excellent coat and condition. Moderately angulated throughout, moved soundly, covering plenty of ground in profile. Would like him to be a little more masculine.

Limit Dog – 3 entries (1 absent)

1.       Pankhurst’s Marshwick Red Prince – Shaded red dog of good type, masculine head of correct proportions, moderate length of neck leading into well laid shoulders. Good ribbing and neat well made rear. Moved soundly with plenty of drive from behind.

2.       Duchesne’s Darsoms Zamba of Scandell – Red dog in good coat and condition. Rather big for me and would like him more refined but lengthy neck leading into well laid shoulders. Adequate ribbing and balanced rear angulation. Moved soundly but would like him to put more effort in to show more reach and drive.

Open Dog – 4 entries

1.       Dare’s Darsoms Zocratees –Shaded red boy in lovely coat and condition. Good head and length of neck, well laid shoulders with adequate upper arm. Good length of ribbing and short loin, well angulated rear which he uses so well on the move. Covered the ground with a long easy stride. Close up in the challenge.

2.       Harris’ Zarcrest George Clooney – Shaded red dog in lovely coat and condition. Head a little heavy for me but good length of neck leading into well angulated shoulders and lengthy upper arm. Good length of ribbing. Well angulated rear but does have a habit of sinking into his rear on the stack. Moved soundly covering plenty of ground in profile.

Veteran Dog – 1 entry

1.       Clarke & Ristedt’s GR CH Dual CH Doxdane’s Aviance Krewe Du Vieux – I judged this lovely boy just a month ago at an open show and loved him then, in the last month his coat has improved and he’s clearly settling well into life in the UK. Beautiful head and length of neck giving him the elegance I love. Correct lay back of shoulder and good return of upper arm. Good length of ribbing and well angulated rear. Moved soundly with good reach and drive. RCC, BVIB and delighted to see he was shortlisted in the combined utility and hound veteran group.
