LONGHAIRED

Thank you for the lovely entry, such a glamorous breed. The higher classes contained animals of real quality, so personal preference made the final decisions. Heads in a number of otherwise lovely dogs were not to my taste, being too broad in skullwith short muzzles. This type also seem to have large round eyes, which is foreign to these lovely dogs. There are still thin, flat feet which also turn out. Mouths were good. A number had the general fault of short upperarms, which makes a straight front on the move. Presentation was - on the whole - lovely. Toplines were also very good. Most moved well, although a number were narrow, especially in front. My winners really pleased me, especially in the higher classes, some real quality animals. The CC winners really complimented each other type wise, moving around the ring. The bitch just had that little bit extra ‘look at me’, so making her BOB.

PD (1) Edwards and Pankhurst’s Marshwood Shades of Black at Danward. Black and tan. Typy baby. Excellent length and good bone. Looked well in profile on the move, just a shade close coming to me at the moment. Lots to like and in good bloom.

JD (2) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Patriarch. Very classy light red lad. Appealing head and eye. Well angulated and moved with style, good width throughout. Lovely coat. 2 Johnson’s Tiendawn Velvet Commander at Africandawns. Shaded red, slightly taller type than the winner. Good length, moved well behind, a shade close in front. Kept a good outline, not the coat of the winner.

PGD (6,1) 1 Wardle’s Ranglewood Euphrasia at Dysteleigh. Black and tan with the best head in the class. Lots to like but doesn’t give of his best. However, he has a good front and feet. Nice flat coat and moved soundly. 2 Sutton’s Damai Master Benedict. Black and tan with a lovely neck leading into decent shoulders and a well developed front. Cuts up a shade underneath. Movement pleased me. 3 Metcalfe’s Metadale Major Decision.

LD (8) 1 Roberts’ Swansford Lyrenstan Picasso. CC. This was a lovely class and this boy really filled my eye. Rich dark shaded red coat in lovely bloom. Aloof expression and head of good length with a strong jaw. Excellent body proportions and flowed around the ring. 2 Oxley’s Owlery Valentine. Black and tan and a handsome young man. He was BPIS under me earlier this year and has developed into an impressive male. Very houndy and so sound. His coat was not at its best on the day, however, his day will come I’m sure. 3 Boyle’s Brianol Hi Falutin at Zarcrest.

OD (7) 1 Geeson’s Ch Abydachs Oh What A Night. Red, won this lovely class and the Res CC, in a quality line-up. Such a lovely size. well boned and with excellent length of ribbing. Short hocks and strong quarters. Moved with style and a very worthy Champion. 2 Oxley’s Ir Ch Larkhund Latest Destroyer at Owlery Sh CM. Black and tan. This boy looked really well on the day. Lovely head and length of neck leading into well angulated shoulders. Moved correctly and held his outline at all times. In lovely bloom. 3 Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Monte Cristo.

MPB (2) 1 Johnson’s Brynalyn Bitter Sweet at Africadawns. Rich red of 7 months. Such a sweetie with a pretty head and eye. Well developed front, excellent length and good ribbing. Strong quarters and kept her topline and shape on the move. Very promising. 2 Mitchell’s Brynalyn Fancy Free. Red and such a baby, nowhere near as mature as the winner, who is litter sister I notice. Carrying a lot of baby fat at the moment. However, she also has a pretty head and eye. Very sound on the move, just needs time.

PB (3,1) 1 Geeson’s Abydachs Justice in a Dream. Best Puppy. 9 month old shaded red and daughter of the DCC winner and very like him. Well developed front and keel, good bone and feet. Like her Dad she moved with verve and was extremely sound. Lovely size. 2 Cook and Rhodes’ Bournder Royal Sapphire. Extremely typy b/t in lovely jacket. Plenty of length and excellent conformation throughout. Just hope she gains confidence with time.

JB (7,1) 1 Mitchell’s Bronia Pastiche. Another classy red lady from this kennel. So feminine and nicely angulated back and front. Really eyecatching on the move. Perhaps moving a shade close behind on the day. Lovely girl. 2 Roberts’ Swansford Steffiedora. Such a sweet little lady. Lovely black and tan coat. Very elegant type with correct head and eye. Good shoulders, hind movement sound. Shade weak in front coming towards me, has a lovely outline moving. 3 Negus’ Tarramist Waterloo Sunset.

PGB (10,4) 1 Metcalfe’s Metadale Maid for Michigan. Shaded red and well put together. Carries herself with some size, nice size and a sound mover. Good feet and bone. 2 Mitchell’s Bronia Playgirl. Heavier coated red girl and a similar type to the winner, with very little between them. Not quite as stylish on the move as the winner. 3 Edwards and Pankhurst’s Amber Nectar at Danward.

LB (9,2) 1 Harris’ Zarcrest Oh Gosh I’m Posh. Beautifully presented light red. A real show girl and well developed throughout. Excellent hindquarters, so stylish moving. To be critical she is a shade wide in front coming towards. 2 Lawrence’s Peverleigh Polly Rose. Sweet headed shaded red with a well developed front. Nice shape standing and moving. Bit of a fidget standing but looked really well on the move. Sound. 3 Surrell’s Bokra Jazz.

OB (5,1) 1 McFaul’s Ch Ir Ch Dachville Perfect Blend. CC and BOB. Black and tan and I couldn’t take my eyes off this girl. When she entered the ring she had such presence. Excellent shoulders, good front and she is a lovely size and well boned. Her coat gleamed, very sound. I wouldn’t alter anything about her, only her ownership! The one the judge would love to take home! 2 Mitchell’s Ch Bronia Carmelita. Res CC. Another worthy Champion in lovely bloom with a gleaming coat. Well developed front, lovely shape standing and moving. Beautifully presented as all are from this kennel. Very sound all through. 3 Metcalfe’s Metadale Make It Happen.
