My thanks to the committee and exhibitors for making me so welcome in the North, a lovely venue and excellent home cooked food. I found the quality was excellent and many exhibits could change places. One thing I did feel some exhibits were lacking breastbone which detracts from the Dachshund look for me. I would also like to thank all the exhibitors who took my decisions sportingly. SH P (1) 1 Clarke and Hastie's Sirius Rising, an 11 months b/t boy of good size, well placed ears and good chest bone and ribbing, length to height ratio correct and he moved well when settled. BP. PG (3) 1 Gatheral-Graham's Phaeland Society Dancer, 2 years red bitch, lovely almond eyes set with a good slant, correct head planes and good length of neck, on well laid shoulders. Good forechest and length of rib, moved well once settled to take the class and RBOB. 2 Stringfellow's Sontag Silvan Sorcerer, 3 years dog, most of the comments for 1 apply, lost his topline occasionally. 3 Crosbie and Holroyd's Bonavoir Red Hector. OD (1) 1 Gatherall-Graham's Phaeland Seal The Deal, 4 years b/t, long conical head, of good shape, nice length of neck and good lay of shoulders, head on a good length of neck, well laid shoulders, good forechest and correct length to height ratio. Didn't show his best on the movement, did enough for BOS. OB (1) 1 Bennett's Shardaroba's Dream Baby, 2 years red, I have liked her previously and found I still do. Lovely long head with a lightly arched skull, lovely almond shaped eyes correctly set, good high set ears. Nice clean and long neck set on well laid back shoulders, nice clear chest bone, good length of rib and correct length to height ratios. Well muscled throughout allowing her to move out with some reach and plenty of drive while keeping width between her feet. Coupled with her ring presence and confidence, she did more than enough to take BOB and ultimately BIS.

P (1) 1 Muggleton's Mosiarto Mister Valentino, 11 months red dog. Good size, nice almond eyes, high set ears, length of neck, good slope of shoulder, angles balanced with the rear. Nice forechest. Good length of back and good ground clearance. Once settled moved out to take BP, RBPIS. J (4,1) 1 Shut's Donadoon Waterloo Sunset, shaded/r boy of 16 months, nicely matured, good length of head and correct set almond eyes, good length of neck and well set shoulders, good depth of chest, rear complemented the front to give a balanced picture. Moved out well. 2 Oxley's Dinkidax Phyllissia, 15 months b/t bitch, most of the comments from 1 apply, would have liked a little more width between legs on the move. PG (3,2) 1 Muggleton's Santorna Mercedes at Mosiarto, 2½ years b/t bitch. Good length of head with a good ratio, nice almond eye, good length of neck into well laid shoulders, good forechest, depth and length of rib, rear balanced front, moved well. L (2) 1 Melbourne's Stargang Glimmer at Melriding, 19 months b/t bitch, pleasing head of good proportions, clean long neck on good shoulders, good forechest and length to height ratio. Moved out well to win class. 2 Jamieson's Djealta Red Hot Chilli Pepper, red, 4½ years bitch, pleasing head and neck, good shoulders, length to height, just didn't move as well as 1.
