I would like to thank The East Yorkshire Dachshund Club for inviting me to judge at their Open show. Generally all the dogs were well turned out and in good condition, that saying, there were some dirty teeth and I would like to see more muscle condition. I thoroughly enjoyed the day, the beautiful venue and friendly atmosphere. I was overjoyed to see my Standard Smooth BPIB get BPIS. Congratulations to all the winners. J Chapman's Melminds Miss Cilla Black: 14 mth old b/t bitch of good proportions, good ground clearance. Nice head, long neck flowing to good shoulders. Good length of ribbing and nice short loin. Back movement too narrow to my liking. Moved out well but would like to see more drive. RBOB. L 1 Chapman's Melminds Miss Dior: 4 year old shaded red bitch. Good ground clearance, nice long neck flowing to good shoulders. Nice length of ribbing and nice short loin. Would prefer more hind angulation, Held a good top line on the move. RBOB. O 1 Chapman's Melminds Zsylvester: 4 year old dog. Heavier built than I normally like. Would prefer more refined head but clear male expression. Lovely long neck flowing to good shoulders. Good length of ribbing and nice short loin. Nice hind angulation. Moved with drive covering the ground well. BOB.

Nice head and expression. Correct ground clearance and very good shoulders, nicely angulated both front and back. Nice length of ribbing. Top line gave a smidgeon on the move. Otherwise a very nice girl. RBOB. L 1 Vine's Derochaise Justified for Cishelvine; I like this 2 year old dog a lot. Nice male head and expression. Well balanced with correct clearance. Good shoulders and has lovely length of ribbing and hind angulation. Moves with drive and holds his top line well on the move. BOB. O 1 Vine's Gravetye Kiss me Kate Cishelvine; almost 3 year old bitch full of beans. Loved her happy temperament. Nice head and length of neck. Would prefer better front assembly. Nice shoulders. Would prefer a shorter loin. Good hind angulation. Unfortunately she was bit energetic today and did not show to her full potential.

Would prefer longer ribbing. Good hind angulation. Moved well with drive. Just needs a bit more confidence and maturity. BP & BPIS. Sp y 1st WH no absentees. PG 1 Crosbie's & Miss P Holroyd's Bonavoir Red Hector: 2.5 year old dog, larger type than I would normally prefer but well balanced and in proportion. Lovely houndy head, excellent shoulders and front. Nice length of ribbing and short loin. Correctly angulated and moved with drive. BOB. L 1 Gatheral Graham's Phaeland Society Dancer; 2 year old bitch. Nice feminine head and expression. Lovely long neck. Not too much front, would prefer better lay of shoulder and longer ribbing. Slightly over angulated behind, but moved well. RBOB. O 1 Gatheral Graham's Phaeland Seal the Deal; 4 year old dog. Nice masculine head and expression. Nice long neck. Good front and good shoulders. Would prefer longer ribbing. Nice turn of stifle and moved well. 2 Clarke's Rijobeau Tanturms n' Tiaras; 7 year old lovely bitch. Beautiful head and expression. Carrying a little bit too much weight. Nice length of neck. Would prefer better angulation both front and back. Moved well and held her top line throughout.
