My thanks to the Committee for inviting me to judge this breed and to the exhibitors for entering under me. My main concern is overweight, I would estimate at least a third were considerably over 11lbs and a few well over 12lbs. This causes a dilemma when judging as some were more typical and moved better than the correctly weighted hounds. *PD* (4) 1 Jones' Carlita Sunrise; 10 month old brindle. Sound puppy with a good positive driving action. Masculine head, correct bite, good wire coat, tight feet. Nicely put together. 2 Kent's Barratini Ready to Rumble at Lokmadi; 7 month old boy, still fairly raw but moved well for his age, liked his hind action, very positive for a young puppy. He has a kind expression, correct bite, enough length of body, slightly harsher coat would complete the picture. 3 Russell's Russteck all Eyeson Me. *JD*(2) 1 Kirkwood Emery's Helydon Laird Loki; Brindle boy of 15months. He looked well-made standing but was a little uneven when moving. Correct bite. Good harsh coat. I liked his head and expression, and a pleasing reach of neck going into a well laid shoulder. I am sure his day will come. 2 Feethams' Kimblehome King of Hearts; Another lad of 15 months but still a bit immature, and his movement is a little erratic. Teeth are correct and his coat was harsh enough. Seems to enjoy his food!*PGD* (2) 1 Fulton's Bothlyn Super Trooper; Well-made boy with a masculine head, correct bite, good harsh coat. I liked his overall shape. He moved out well with drive but was sadly rather over weight. 2 Bells's Shantallah Wild Sage; Very happy boy, the rattling of the tent frame as the wind got up didn't worry him at all. His coat could have been a bit tidier. Correct bite and good tight feet. *LD *(3) 1 Russell's Russteck the Bruce; Very nice sound youngster who moved with great drive. Looked very good in profile. Kind expression. Correct bite and a good wire coat. 2 Tomsett's Dajean Starstruck; I thought that this boy looked very good standing, very pleasing outline but his movement could have been a bit more positive today. Sadly, the scales did not do him any favours. 3 Kugow and Holt's Waldmeister Jonah. *OD* (5, 2a) 1 Feethams' Kimblehome Jackpot DCC and BOS. Jolly nice 3 year old boy enjoying himself, I thought that his overall shape and length was super, he is very balanced and also moves soundly. Teeth correct and a good harsh coat. Well shown and presented. May his third CC come soon. 2 Rose's Ch. Ridanflight Ricardo RDCC; Very unlucky to meet the winner but another day, another judge and things will change. A very nice hound, well put together and very sound. Correct bite, harsh coat, and tight feet. Liked his kind expression. 3 Russell's Russteck Wyre in the Blood.*PB* (8e 1a) 1 Good class. 1 Morris's Stargang Peggy Sue at Pennywave RBCC BP; Super red puppy with lots of ring presence. Well balanced for a puppy, very sound, moves with verve, and nicely put together. Quite mature in body. Pretty and feminine. Teeth correct. Coat just beginning to blow. I see that she has the same sire as my best of breed. 2 Russell's Russteck Dancing in the Dark; This little girl looks lovely standing, well made with plenty of bone, movement needs to steady a bit, but she is still young. Correct bite and harsh coat and good feet. 3 Howells' Fallowmill Indian Runner.*JB* (4, 2a) 1 Feethams' Kimbleholme Pot of Luck; Very feminine young bitch with lots to like about her. Very nicely put together with good shoulder and length. Bite correct, good coat and feet. Movement not quite as positive as it could be, but she is still young. 2 Tomsett's Dajean's Happy Sunbeam; Pretty red girl, tightest elbows of the day. Positive hind action so moved well. Not quite the length of body as one. Teeth correct but her coat needs a little bit of attention. *PGB* (5) 1 Daykin's Barratini Angels Eve; A pleasing feminine little girl. Lovely shape when standing with as a bonus tight elbows! Mouth correct, harsh jacket and good feet. On the move her hind action was a little untidy. 2 Hunt's Earthsea Miss Givings; Smaller type of bitch but everything in its right place. Sweet expression and a nicely shaped head. Good mouth and correct coat. Not quite the drive of one. 3 Blackburn's Lamark Peggy at Stargang (imp Finn) NAF TAF. *LB* (10, 2a) Challenging class. 1 Jones' Bimini Blue Moon. What a nice bitch, good forechest, lay of shoulder, reach of neck and length of body. Teeth and coat correct, she moved well as well. 2 Pain's Russteck Nicely Nicely for Ravensbeech; Different type to one, not quite as balanced, but she moved soundly with plenty of rear drive. Teeth and jacket correct. 3 Feetham's Kimbleholme Black Queen. *OB* (8) 1 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Catch the Rainbow; BCC and BOB. Red girl with a lovely ring presence, showed off her qualities to her advantage, also she was well presented and shown. Very nicely put together, impressed with her fore chest, length of neck, shoulder placement and length of body. She moved soundly with great drive. May you have lots of fun with her. 2 Dance's Emem Gloria Sunshine (JW); Another very nice bitch, she just needs that 'look at me' attitude which one has. Very nice outline and moves soundly with purpose. 3 Feetham's Kimbleholme Queen of Hearts. *Suzanne Emrys-Jones
