Dachshund (Miniature Smooth Haired)

PD (2) 1 Black’s Bassodon Westwood, 8 months b/t, good coarse coat, broadness of head housing a correct almond eye, correct dentition, moved well for a young puppy. Just lost topline on the move. RBD; 2 Stewart’s Bassodon Dolce, 8 months litter brother to 1. A little taller but I did like him on the move, he kept his topline & is a confident puppy, well handled. These two could change places on another day. Both lovely puppies. JD & PGD (0). OD (1) 1 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat Win Tin Tin, 12 months b/t, as expected another good exhibit from this well known kennel, but didn’t show his best here. Moved with the confidence of a more mature dog & kept his topline on the move. Sadly lost topline on the stack in the challenge. Good coarse coat. BD.

PB (3) 1 Black’s Bassodon Vivienne, 8 months b/t, very much a baby but kept her topline on the move for a youngster, sufficient broadness of head, good set of ears & length of muzzle, good dark almond eye, excellent shoulders. Should do well. One to watch; 2 Grant’s Hanishan Winningwaves at Granhoward, 7 months brindle, a lot to like about this bitch. Just needs time to muscle up more. Good head & dark eye, well set shoulders, liked her movement keeping her topline. Just needs time to mature. JB (2) 1 Daykin’s Hot Gossip, r/br, what a stunner, lovely harsh wire coat, long lean neck leading to good square shoulders, tight elbows, moved with drive & purpose. A star in the making. BP, BOB. OB (3) 1 Black’s Drakesleat Cheez Der One for Bassodon, compact cr/br bitch with good forechest, well set shoulders, tight elbows, liked her head & dark eye, well presented, moved well around the ring with a purposeful drive. RBB; 2 Thorn-Andrews’ Drakesleat May Contain Nuts, lovely bitch to type. Lost topline when stacked, but OK on the move. Good ribbing & deep keep, fit for purpose, performed well around the ring, well presented & handled.
