 MINIATURE  WIREHAIRED

What a super entry of 122 from from 114 dogs. The bitches were  stronger in both numbers and quality. Some would have looked better carrying a  little more weight, on the other had a few were shown a bit plump. Temperaments  should be 100%, but I thought there were some that were nervous on the table  and showed fear and apprehension in their eyes. That is not typical for a  Dachshund. I know this hall is noisy and echoey, which the young and inexperienced  ones might have found a bit daunting. Many were standing cow-hocked, rather  than straight and parallel behind. Hind movement generally was better than  front action. MPD (8,1) 1 and Best PD, Thorn-Andrews' Drakesleat Neil's  On Wheels. Nearly 7 months, best topline on the move and also when posed. Good  coat and body, happy personaility and never stopped wagging his tail. Needs to  firm up behind but that will come. Flying his ears at times. 2 Billinghurst's  Jiljac Tsar Very Much. 6 months and in excellent coat. Pleasing head with  expressive eye. Good quarters, moved ok but not holding his topline quite as  well as the winner. 3 Presnail's Taree Selwyn. PD (2) 1 Presnail's Taree  Shanahan. Litter brother to 3rd in MPD. Better neckline than his brother, moved  quite nicely for one so young. Quality  head, excellent coat colour and well conditioned and handled. Tail carriage not  his best feature. 2 Hunt's His Terricle. 11 and a half months, needs to carry a  little more weight to advantage. Masculine head but slightly overshot mouth.  Front movement needs to improve. JD (6,2) 1 and Res CC, Phillips'  Curtisey Boogy Woogy. 17 months. Very handsome and appealing youngster in great  form. Lovely coat and body condition, good bone feet and attractive head and  expression. Showed with composure and moved well. When competing for the Res CC  really looked the part, holding his topline, head up and looking ready for  anything! 2 Jones' Bimini King of Swing. 14 months. Intelligent expression and  good body and ribcage. Moved ok, just not 100% relaxed. 3 Horswell's Drakesleat  Noddy Doff. PGD (3,1) 1 Phillips' Curtisey Boogy Woogy. 2 Hassall's  Stargang Vegas Strip. 2 years and a neat little dog, but failed in topline and  front movement. Good body, dark eyes. Was sympathetically handled, coat could  be of harsher texture. LD (6,2) 1 Kugow and Holt's Waldmeister Samuel  JW, 2 years masculine young man in good coat and firm, splendid coat texture,  good bone, positive showman who made the most of himself on the move. Head  could be better; 2 Punter's Welcumen Jeremy, 2 years, good size and type. Pleasing head and expression,  well proportioned and he moved well behind. Good topline, just not quite in the  mood to show off on the day. 3 Moore's Danvichar Euphrasia. OD (10,3)  Good class. 1 CC and BOB, Dance's Deepdax Overdraft Too Far Emem. 2 years,  excellent size and shape and very good bone, legs and feet. Sturdy body, fit  and well conditioned. Broad rump, well muscled quarters. A quality head with  dark and intelligent eyes. Well fitting jacket, moved with purpose and a steady  performer with plenty of character. 2 Thorn-Andrew's Ch Drakesleat Win A Lot. 3  and a half years, masculine head and outlook and moved very well and responding  to his handler both standing and moving. Well carried tail. Would like to see  him carry a little more weight and coat not at its very best on the day. 3  Hassall and McLeod's Ch Sidelock Formular One. MPB (15,5) 1 Blair's  Stargang Diamond Chip to Twinhoe. 6 months, lovely baby of good quality and  type. Well proportioned and feminine head with expressive eyes. Well handled to  look her best and very good topline for her age. Harsh coat, moved well. 2  Marston-Teal's Lordscairnie I Love Me. Nearly 7 months, a size bigger than the  winner. Clean neckline and good body and quarters. Showy and co-operative,  needs to firm up in front movement. 3 Blackburn-Bennett's Stargang Czarina. PB (11,4) 1 and Best Puppy, Thorn-Andrews' Drakesleat Round N Round. 11 months and  a mature looking puppy. Quality head of good length, well boned and bodied and  held her topline quite well. Expertly handled. 2 Hayward's Foxearth Fiddle De  Dee. 10 and a half months, pretty bitch and  no mistaking her sex. Good coat, body and overall proportions. Neat head,  delightful personality, being confident and very pleased with herself. 3  Punter's Welcumen Imagination. JB (15,5) Plenty of talent in this class.  1 McLeod and Hassall's Janjac Mac Zeen. 16 and a half months and a self assured  young lady in good form. Marvellous coat texture, excellent bone and feet and a  quality head. Well muscled hindquarters, proud carried and she was well  handled. Moved and showed with style. 2 Poxon's Kapodach Cup Cake. 17 and a  half months, not far behind. A quality bitch with a good length of head and  dark, intelligent eyes. Well bodied, room for improvement in front action but  looked well in profile. 3 Marston-Teal's Lordscairnie Love Life. PGB (12,5) Mixed class. 1 Rose's Stargang De Valois at Ridanflight. 2 years and  ultra feminine bitch and a confident showgirl who trotted her stuff, fully in  charge. Good outline, pretty head and well proportioned. Moved ok. 2 Walker's  Deepdax In the Red at Roselle. Litter sister to the DCC and Res CC bitch, must  have been a first class litter. Harsh jacket, clean neckline and a firm body  and good ribcage. Sympathetically handled. 3 Jones' Bimini Starlight Express. LB (17,3) Excellent class. 1 and Res CC, Meredith's Deepdax Credit Crunch. Won a  hot class. Has a lot to like about her, defiant head carriage and excellent  coat texture. Attractive head and a good body and ribcage. Well proportioned  and composed showgirl who went well. 2 Blackburn's Stargang Moll Flanders. 16  months, classy bitch with a good head and expressive eyes. Harsh jacket, good  bone and body. Easy mover, tail carriage a little gay at times. 3 Lewis'  Trixhund Country Lover. OB (13,4) 1 and CC, Thorn-Andrews' Ch Drakesleat  Mass Wisteria. 22 months and an all quality bitch, bang on form. I liked her  head, eyes and expression. Good coat, firm fit body and well muscled quarters,  sound mover. Showed well to win the CC, her fourth I think, quite comfortably  on the day. 2 Blackburn-Bennett's Ch Stargang Lady Gaga. 2 and a half years,  feminine bitch with a pleasing head and intelligent eyes. Confident showgirl  with a good topline and neckline. Excellent coat and body. Very well handled  and looked well going round, but not 100% up and down. A lovely type. 3 Price's  Samlane Touch of Gin. Vet B (6,2) 1 and Best Vet, Hayward's Ch Foxearth  Foto Copy. 8 and a half years old and an easy winner here, in splendid  condition and a very young looking and willing showgirl and mover. Well  handled, excellent figure and topline.  A bit short of coat but she has nothing to hide. Attractive head and intelligent  expression, front movement could be better. 2 Oram's Janjac Moschino at  Rosswell. 7 years and coat not at its best. Dark eye and a good length of head.  Firm body, moved ok. 3 Miller's Palsuz Dream Time.
