MINIATURE WIRE HAIRED

MPD (3,1) 1 & Res CC Shantallah Diamond Dealer at Stargang. An outstanding youngster and surely one with a rosy future. Handles so well on the table, excellent headpiece, lovely eyes and expression, such a good neck and forehand, ribs carry well back, really good bend of stifle and in harsh coat. Plays up a little on the move, but fully deserved the RCC on sheer type. 2 Jones’ Shantallah Black Diamond Among Carlita. Litter brother to the winner and shares many of his virtues. Again that air of quality and good breeding. Loved his expression, so well presented and is an obvious character. He moved out well and is certainly sound. In splitting these twins, I felt that Dealer was a tad shorter in loin.

PD (6,1) 1 Rose & Williams’ Sansanca Addison at Tythe. Standing he filled my eyes as he has an air of type, beautiful headpiece, is well ribbed, decent front and firm in body. Did enough on the move to win the class but played his handler up in the challenge, dropping away behind and losing the verve and drive he had shown. 2 Kugow & Holt’s Waldmeister Samuel. Very good head, eyes, muzzle strength and correct mouth. Decent reach of neck and well defined forechest, shade long cast when compared to the winner, in excellent harsh jacket and he is pleasing in action on the up and down. 3 Hassall’s Stargang Vegas Trip.

JD (3) 1 & CC Thorn Andrews Drakesleat Otton the Scent. Had the best head pattern very good eyes, strong muzzle and correct mouth. He is shapely, excels in reach of neck and length of ribcage, his angulation is matching both ends and he is basically sound. Could be more outgoing in personality but despite that I felt he well deserved the CC. 2 Howells’ Fallowmill Back and Fetch. A smart, well balanced dog, such a good headpiece, nice reachy neck, very well ribbed and they carry back to a supple loin and well set tail. Harsh in jacket he moved well but not quite the trueness in front of the winner. But I liked him. 3 Douglas & Banks’ Kmai Razzle Dazzle of Torabbi.

PGD (2) 1 Razzle Dazzle of T. slightly on the leg and his pasterns need to firm up. Nice for size and weight, scores in reach of neck and coat texture. Pleasing skull, would like more weight in foreface, best action of these two when side viewed. 2 Puckett’s Molloney Willy Wayne. Good balanced head planes, well shaped eyes and good ears. Enough neck, backline a bit roached on the move and he needs to strengthen in hock.

LD (5,2) 1 Shaw’s Cilnant Happy Harry of Mustdach. Fractionally pushed the weight but his overall quality and sheer type won the day. I thought his headpiece was beautiful, he has enough reach of neck, well sprung ribs carry well back, his back is level, slight rise over the loin, his coat is harsh to the touch and he moved out with style and a good stride. 2 McDowell’s Waldmweister Charlie Brown at Aristrodax. This poor fellow had been tailored a bit too severely, particularly in skull which detracted from his appeal. The head is well balanced, ears could be neater. Well ribbed but underline cuts up a bit too quickly and this was not helped by him being so bereft of jacket. Scores in sound action and purposeful profile on the move. 3 Hooper’s Starhil Kings Rhapsody.

OD (1) 1 Black’s Bassondon Bilbie. Three years old dog, pleasing headpiece if expression a bit worried, very good for size, overall shape, neck, coat texture and level back. He has enough bend of stifle and forechest but he is somewhat diffident on the move and gives the impression he’d rather be at home.

MPB (5) 1 Lewis’ Trixhund Country Wife. A precocious little madam scoring in length of head, lovely eyes and an expression which is almost wilful! Reachy neck lovely forechest and ribcage, ample bend of stifle and sound in action. 2 Payton’s Marjao Popcorn. Another with lots of promise. On the stack she takes the eye, using her neck so well, shoulders well laid, decent breastbone and lovely feet. She too was almost cocky with confidence on the move and she was well presented. At this stage I just felt that the winner had the slightly better eye shape. 3 Holgate’s Nadavin Struana.

PB (4,1) 1 CC & BOB Stargang Lady Gaga. I thought her outstanding in todays company and she was a comfortable BOB winner. Gorgeous headpiece, she is shapely, so well boned and bodied, stunning outline using that super neck to advantage. The harshest of jackets, strong hocks drive her around the ring and she has all the confidence and charm of youth. Her 3rd CC and still only 10 months. 2 Hurn’s Llanfabon Black Pearl. Short of coat compared to the first but a nice size and overall shape, excels in reach of neck, her head is a good shape, is balanced and she has a pleasing expression from those very dark eyes. Moved out steadily and once back in coat will look much better. 3 Miller’s Palsuz Dream of Casandra.

JB (1) 1 Lancaster & Miller’s Drakesleat Ott Stuff Pellismer. I thought her to be a very pretty bitch. I liked her head balance, very good eyes for size, shape, colour and expression. She has a reasonable reach of neck, is amply developed in rib, is perhaps a tad longer in loin that I like but she is well angulated aft. For me she moves much too quickly which spoils her backline.

PGB (6,3) 1 Rose & Williams’ Tythe Rhian. I liked this bitch a lot. Sadly fairly bereft of jacket but it only emphasises her excellent outline. Beautifully headed, so well bodied, ribs have length and depth, the loin short and her angulation so good. Moved out soundly and with drive. When back in jacket could be a real threat. 2 Opram’s Janjac Moschino at Rosswell. Fit five year old, impressive outline as she uses her neck so well, back firm, croup tends to fall away slightly, delightful head, balanced with a good skull and muzzle ratio, came into her own on the move with such balanced and powerful side action. 3 Chugg’s Templestone Ophelia.

LB (9,2) 1 & Res CC Boyns’ Brindeckel Ballykissangel. Sassy with an outgoing full of herself importance and an air of style. Immaculate in body and coat, so well boned with super legs and feet. The purists would seek more bend of stifle but she has enough, has a lovely front assembly and in action she shows good reach and drive whilst keeping a firm back. Her head is quite lovely, balanced, beautiful expression and such good ears. 2 Billinghurst’s Drakesleat Russia Bout to Jiljac JW ShCM what a really harsh, well presented jacket this top quality bitch has. I liked her a lot as she has an air about her that attracts! She could be shorter coupled but other than that she has, shape, style, is well ribbed, ample substance and she owns a delightful head, eye and expression. Add that she is sound in action and you have an attractive package. 3 Kugow & Holt’s Waldmeister Steffi JW.

OB (4) 1 Blackburn-Bennett’s Stargang Diamond Star. Ultra feminine bitch which handles so well on the table then plays her handler up on the move. What a reach of neck and lovely shoulder placement with a decent oval fronted forechest, good bone and feet and firm body. She was in good coat, her muscles evidence of plenty exercise and was full of herself. Once settled when moving should well. 2 Thorn-Andrews’ Starhill Lady of the Lake at Drakesleat. Impressive on the stack, excellent head pattern, eyes and ears, lovely muzzle, well coated and such a good fore assembly. Well ribbed she has a look of style but her action disappointed as she never showed the free stride her construction inferred she would have. 3 Lancaster & Miller’s Drakesleat Stone Me with Pellismer
