MINIATURE WIRE HAIRED

Many thanks to the committee of this prestigious show for a wonderful reception, their generosity and hospitality and of course, to my super Steward for his effortless efficiency and attitude throughout me fulfilling my appointment. I was delighted with being able to find a type in my main class winners, it was a pleasure to look at my line ups, and made me wish I had two sets of CCs to award on the one day. Many thanks to all the exhibitors for the honour of my opinion on your exhibits.

PD (10,2) 1 Rose & Williams’s Sandanca Addison At Tythe. This puppy is just the type I like, he had a super body on him, almond eye with typical wire head and expression, good pro-sternum, shoulders, length of ribbing and superb bend of stifle, in superb coat, good feet supporting his excellent topline with level underline that so many are missing today, he topped it all off by good strong sound movement with excellent drive, very well handled and presented. BPD. 2 Punter’s Welcumen Jeremy. Good conformation throughout, with a super sound movement and in lovely coat, just a little bum high today. 3 Lewis’s Clipperdown Man Machine At Trixhund. A pin wire, what a lovely colour, good conformation and soundness, just lacking body at the moment, needs to drop into himself and relax.

JD
(4) 1 Thorn-Andrews Drakesleat Otton The Scent. Quality exhibit in tip top condition, Super stylish and typey, super head and eye, shoulders, ribbing, good bend of stifle, strong topline, moved very well. 2 Miller’s Montravia Lotto Night for Palsuz. A typey boy, in good coat, nice head and eye, good feet, quality exhibit, would like a little more pro sternum. 3 Ward-Blower’s Whitewebbs Painted Black by Willowmist. See limit dog.

PGD (6,1) 1 Dance’s Deepdax Overdraft Too Far Emem. A clear class winner here, this lad gave a good performance and was the soundest in his class, long, low and level, he is typey, with lovely quarters, excels in bone, pro sternum, shoulders, ribbing, super head, eye and coat, handled and presented well. RDCC. 2 McDowell & Waldmeister’s Charlie Brown At Aristodax. Taller than the winner, had a pleasant head and was handled well. 3 Moore’s Danvichar Euphrasia. Would like more elegance and length.

LD
(3,1) 1 Price’s Samlane Tetley. This dog has a gorgeous rich colour, with a super head and eye, presented in excellent wire coat and condition, super feet, good depth and width, excellent bend of stifle, fit for function. 2 Ward-Blower’s Willowmist Red Rooster. There was a consistency from this kennel throughout, unfortunately it was not to my liking, and faults were evident in all the stock.

OD
(3,1) 1 Thorn Andrews’ Ch. Drakesleat Win A Lot. So much has been said about this boy already, my immediate observations on the day were how fluidly your hands glide over his muscled conformation, I particularly loved his use of his quarters throughout his performance. My notes mention his excellent coat, head, eye and shoulder, length of ribbing, good strong spades with which he covered the ground with ease and drive, I could have watched him all day, and he was most certainly fit for function. DCC, BOB & GP2. 2 Ward-Blower’s Willowmist Red Rooster. See limit dog.

VD/B (1) 1 Douglas & Banks’ Torabbi Welsh Malt ShCM. A nine year old gentleman, loving every minute of all the attention, thank you for bringing him it was a pleasure to meet him.

PB (4) 1 Blackburn Bennett’s Stargang Lady Gaga. She left me ‘Speechless’ as soon as she appeared, destined for top honours with a most charming temperament! Everything I love in the wires in a neat feminine package, long, low and level,  my notes say with good body, excellent coat, text book head, good strong spades, superb shoulders, moved out fluidly, I could have watched her perform over and over. BCC, BPIB. 2 Jones’ Bimini Starlight Express. This bitch was similar in type to the winner, but not quite as clean moving, ideally she would have more length to her. 3 Miller’s Palsuz Dream of Casandra. Super type, slightly short in the loin, presented and handled well.

JB
(6,2) 1 Thorn Andrews’ Drakesleat Sally Forf. Just out of puppy, this brindle bitch, excelled in her houndy head, good eye shape, and in excellent coat, moving well she was another quality and consistent exhibit from this kennel. 2 Otter’s Portalutra Sash Imi. Again my type, super head carriage, good bone and feet, to be critical I would like a little more muscle tone to her second thigh, handled and presented well. 3 Lancaster, & Miller’s Pellismer ‘Sno Bigdeal. Less bone than my winners, would prefer more bend of stifle.

PGB
(14,4) 1 Addoo’s Reulemill Freya Fraywood. Taller type throughout, but the soundest exhibit in this class, and certainly fit for the job she was bred for, good forechest, and length of ribbing, good wire coat, handled and presented well. 2 Lancaster & Miller’s Drakesleat Ott Stuff Pellismer. Black and tan bitch with the most sweetest of expression, reminded me of my own mini wire some years ago, has a super outline stacked, and carried an excellent coat. 3 Mobley’s Samlane What Else of Jakanem. Lovely houndy head, of taller type, would like to see a little more weight.

LB (9) 1 Billinghurst’s Drakesleat Russia Bout To Jiljac JW. Striking and flashy dark brindle with good length, long and low, clean moving which won her the class, excellent shoulders, with strong topline and underline, presented in  excellent coat. 2 Price’s Samlane Touch of Gin. Another quality exhibit, lovely head and good front movement, balanced bitch shown in good jacket. 3 Barney’s Verrami Nuvver Romaunt. Another quality exhibit, well constructed throughout and shown in good jacket.

OB
(6,1) 1 Baldwin’s Beckel Penthouse Baby. This bitch does have it all, superb front and rear movement, good angles her construction, excellent shoulders, good depth to her keel, length to her ribbing, strong feet supporting good underline and topline, RBCC. 2 Blackburn Bennett’s Stargang Diamond Star. My notes simply say she was unfortunate to meet the winner, little taller but same remarks apply. 3 Thorn Andrews’ Starhill Lady Of The Lake At Drakesleat. Nicely made bitch of good type, presented in good coat.
