Thank you to the Committee for their kind invitation.
A few observations, I found one level bite otherwise mouths were ok, there were some untypical heads with short foreface, wide skull and round eyes, very unattractive and the age old problems of upright shoulders, short upper arms and not enough bend of stifle. Narrow hind movement seems to be a problem. Presentation was generally very good. I was delighted with my principal winners; very clever breeder bred both my BOB & BP.
PD (1) 1 Shutt's Dragonsteeth Cream Cracker At Donnadoon. Cream, masculine head with good eye pigment, prominent forechest, enough layback of shoulder, elbows could be tighter, flat feet, would benefit from a shade more ribbing with his length, hind end and tailset ok, moved rather narrow behind and was difficult to assess moving as he was not over confident.
JD (2) 1 Lockett-Walters & Walters' Ralines Bright Future. B/c in immaculate condition, fabulous head, lovely tight feet and super bone, good layback of shoulder, well sprung ribs with very good hindquarters, not overdone in coat and moved out soundly. Loved him. RCC. 2 Mains' Scotiablue Mystical Wonder. B/t. Head ok, had prominent forechest, shoulders could be better, touch out at the elbow and could do with longer ribbing. Rises on the move and was narrow behind.
PGD (1) 1 Kennedy's Kinchville Great Gatsby (Imp Rus). Shaded red, good head, could do with a touch more forechest, nice bone and feet, out at the elbows, ribbing ok, he is rather straight behind and he was plaiting in front and narrow behind.
LD (4, 1) 1 Walter's Metadale Masterchef. Cream with good pigment, lovely bone and feet, excellent shoulder and return of upperarm, tight elbows, good ribs carried well back, well angulated hindquarters, presented a lovely outline with absolutely sound movement, plenty of reach in front and driving behind showing his pads. He would benefit from a shade more coat but he could not be denied the CC, BOB and delighted to see him go BIS3. 2 Mitchell & Antonopoulos Ygeia Numero Uno (Imp Swe). Shaded red not overdone in coat so you could see his outline. His head ok, has excellent feet, benefit from a shade more forechest, supper ribbing, good hindend, moved out well, could do with a touch more confidence, not keen on his tailset.
OD (2) 1 Buchan & Kerslake's Devonwood Crackerjack At Helenium JW. B/t with the best temperament of the day! Beautiful head, he had good feet but stood at rather 10 to 2! Excellent ribs and well angulated hindquarters, moved out well in front but a shade narrow behind. Good profile movement. 2 Bell & Rowell's Ch Tolberg Cream Dream JW ShCM. Cream, good pigment, shade upright in shoulder and could do with a touch more forechest. Ribbing ok with good hindquarters, moved ok in front.
PB (6, 1) 1 Mitchell's Metadale Coco Chanel Of Bronia. Beautifully conditioned b/t, glorious head, excellent bone and tight feet. Excellent forequarter construction with well sprung ribs carried well back, well angulated hindquarters. She just needs to grow her confidence and she is one to watch. BP and thrilled to see her go BPIS. 2 Johnson's Charpurdy's Gold McEve. Red with wonderful temperament, feet could be a shade tighter, her head is ok, has good bone, nicely angled front and rear, enough ribbing and moved out soundly. Unlucky to meet first.
JB (4, 1) 1 Lockett-Walters & Walters' Ralines The Last Word. Beautifully presented b/c, fabulous head, excellent bone, feet could be a shade tighter. Lovely tight elbows, well laid shoulder and prominent forechest, super ribbing carried well back. Correct hindquarters and sound mover. Loved her, RCC but a very close decision for the BCC! 2 Bell's Tolberg Legally Blonde. Shaded cream, narrower all through, feminine head, good shoulder, could do with a shade more forechest, could do with more spring of rib, she moved well enough but her handler told me she had just come into season so she was a bit overawed by it all.
PGB (1) 1 Bell's Tolberg Legally Blonde.
LB (3, 1) 1 Metcalfe's Metadale Aphrodite. Cream that benefit from more confidence, lovely head, feet rather flat, good bone, good forequarters, nicely ribbed and well bodied, nicely angulated hindquarters. She moved out well enough but this would improve if she was a bit bolder. 2 Laird's Flavian Circe. Shaded red with sweet temperament, good bone and feet, a touch out at the elbows, has enough forechest, has lovely body shape in profile, hind end ok but didn't move well behind.
OB (3) 1 Geeson's Ch Abydachs Absolutely. Immaculately presented B/C, not keen on her head, she is rather broad in back skull and a shade round in eye, has super bone and feet, nicely angled front and rear, could do with a shade more ribbing, won on her lovely movement, super reach and drive and the more she moved the better she went BCC. 2 Johnson's Charpurdy Just Willow. Lovely b/t, very close to winner, thought this bitch had more elegance, head ok, feet a touch flat, has good ribs, perhaps a touch more bend of stifle, I liked her very much and it came down to movement in the end.
